8/27/22 After putting it off for way, way too long, I finally trimmed and weighed the branches I cut off of #3 back on 8/18/22. They were dry-dry, so all I had to do was trim them. Once trimmed, I weighed them on the dry branches to get that weight as well. Finally, I separated the buds and weighed them to add to the total once I finish harvesting the rest of #3. I was surprised by how much this partial harvest yielded. The dry, trimmed buds on the branches was: 1.422 ounces. I normally get this weight to compare it with how much it weighed wet. In this case I don’t have that figure, so it’s mainly moot. The actual partial harvest weight I will later add to the total harvest for #3 was: 1.079 ounces. It’s funny to think that I already have a nice ounce + of curing bud, from a plant I haven’t completed harvesting yet. The world of weed is weird sometimes, but usually in a good way. Happy growing everyone! 8/28/22 I started harvesting #3 today, but I only took about 8 branches from the lower part of the plant. I left the rest of her in the tent to keep on keeping on till tomorrow when I’ll take some more. I trimmed what I cut today and got the wet-trimmed weight, then hung them up to start drying. I harvested my last plant in this fashion and I really liked it. The branches start dying and drying out as soon as you cut it from the tree. If it’s a large plant; like these are, then only cutting the amount you can trim at one time leaves the rest of the plant traumatized a bit (maybe), but it’s still alive. This isn’t a harvest log entry, it’s a feeding entry. Because these are large plants and they tend to take a while to trim, I decided to feed #1 and #2 today. They received a half gallon each of fresh, properly pH’ed water. I’m a day behind in their feeding, and normally I like to let them dry up in their roots so that the plant itself is in need of water, but is still healthy when harvest begins. I let extra days go by with their mother and all of her leaves dried up completely and she looked like a ragged mess. Although her bud was perfect once she was trimmed. The point is that it is going to take me a couple of days to finish up with #3, and the water today will keep them healthy until I get to them. This is my last “planned” feeding for both of them. We’ll have to see how that plan goes. The initial pH of the gallon of water was 7.4. I added 0.4 ml of pH DOWN to adjust the pH to 6.5. They were both very dry and only gave back a small amount of runoff, but enough to test. #1 - 5.6 #2 - 5.7 The tent was 85F and humidity was 46%. This should be the last entry for this week. I’m currently in the process of harvesting #3 and will move on to the others as soon as I’m done with her. She did not get fed today so she continues to use every last drop while I harvest her. Multiple plant harvests are tiring! I’m shocked at the number of plants that some of you grow at once on here. Not shocked in a bad way. More liked shocked in amazement! Happy growing everyone! 9/1/22 I finished harvesting #3 today and finally got started on #2. I wanted to let them dry up before I started harvesting #2 and 3, but it is taking longer than I’d like. For that reason, today I gave them some water, but only half as much as they normally get. I only want them to get enough to keep the leaves that are still alive to stay that way till I can harvest them. They are looking fine, as you can see from the pics I uploaded with this note. The harvest is taking a little longer than I’d hoped for, so I’m applying a simple stopgap measure in place to mitigate it a little, but not a lot. I thought that my last note for this group was already done, but time shows that not all plans are full proof. We do what we can, and hope (plan) for the best. Happy growing everyone.
