8/13/22 Melancholy has set in over the past few days in the aftermath of my outburst. I know that listing my thoughts and feelings here are not the norm, so allow me to apologize for including them in my diary, but it is my way. I fed my plants yesterday, 8/13/22, but I didn’t get around to writing the logs till today. We have started week 12, and my ladies have graduated to the flush. Each of them received a half gallon of fresh, properly pH’ed water. The initial pH for both gallons from the tap was 7.5. I added 0.4 ml of pH DOWN to adjust them both to 6.4. All 3 of the remaining plants gave back sufficient runoff with the following pH levels: #1 - 5.4 #2 - 5.6 #3 - 5.5 #1 and #2 are both doing well. #3 has some parts of the plant that are still doing well, but there are some buds, and smaller branches that look as though they’re not going to make it. I took 2 pictures of her for all of you to see. Whenever I think about what I did to my beloved plants, I’m hit by an overwhelming sense of shame. #4 has dried and I still need to trim it and put it into jars to cure. I didn’t get a wet weight for it, so I’ll only be able to add it’s dry weight to the end result if this diary. The tent was 84.4F, with humidity at 44%. I’m still trying to regain my own, but it will take time. 8/15/22 Feeding time again in The_Good_Twin grow room, and today I’m actually writing out my logs on the same day. As I begin to catch up after the extra work my outburst caused, I’m feeling more like myself. Today my living trio are continuing to receive fresh, properly pH’ed water for the flush. I still had the second half of the gallon prepared for #3 & 4, since #4 is no more, #3 finished it off today. The gallon prepared for #1 & 2 had an initial pH of 7.5. I added 0.4 ml of pH DOWN which adjusted the pH to 6.4. The other half gallon for #3 was also at 6.4. All of them gave back plenty of runoff with the following pH levels: #1 - 5.4 #2 - 5.6 #3 - 5.5 It’s a cooler, rainy day today, so the tent was at 80.8F, with humidity at 46%. #1 and #2 are still doing wonderful, and look as though they’re going to yield quite nice amounts of prime bud! #3 is beginning to show which parts of the plant are going to make it, and which parts are not. Luckily for me, it seems that more is doing well than what is not. Since tomorrow is a non-feed day, I’ll probably use that time to prune off the parts that aren’t going to make it so I can concentrate more on the parts that are. Things are almost back to normal in my grow room. I’d like to say thanks to GrowingGrannie for the kind words and encouragement. It means a lot! Happy growing everyone! 8/18/22 Today I decided that I couldn’t put it off an longer, so I finally took the time to look through #3 and cut away all of the parts that didn’t make it. I was pleasantly surprised to see how much was still doing well. I didn’t expect it to be as good as it turned out to be. The branches and buds I cut away today look fine as well. They just look like dried buds. I went on a day trip out of town yesterday, so I didn’t get to feed my girls on their regular feed day. Today they all looked fine and didn’t suffer from an extra dry day. I mixed two gallons as always. One for #1 & 2, and another for #3. She gets to use the second half of the gallon on Saturday. Both gallons ended up the same regardless. Both had an initial pH of 7.5. I added 0.4 ml of pH DOWN to each gallon which adjusted their pH to 6.3. All of the plants gave back runoff with the following pH: #1 - 5.7 #2 - 5.9 #3 - 5.4 Their tent was 83.9F, with humidity at 44%. They have pretty much completed their first week of the flush, and have at least one more week to go before harvesting begins. I plan on dry trimming what was cut off today and starting it’s curing process. Unfortunately, #4 went into the trash. I started to trim it the other day, and I didn’t like the way some of the buds were looking. I figured it was safer to just trash the whole thing instead of trying to figure out what was good, and what wasn’t. Throwing away, or giving away entire plants is something that I never thought I’d ever do. I’ve done both in the last couple of months, but it’s even nicer seeing that I’ll still be fine afterwards!
