—— WELCOME TO THE NANA GLUE RUN! ——
-Here’s the end of the first week! So far, all 4 plants are doing very well. It’s hard to mess up the first week.
There’s going to be a few plants around it from Greenpoint seeds, as well as some other clones throughout this diary, but the main focus will be on the Nana Glue.
Thank you for following along friends! :)
At the end of week 2, all x4 nana glue are about on their 4th node, they’ll be topped very soon! The back left and back right nana glue have some red stems while the front two do not. Overall they seem healthy with broad leaves, it’s been smooth sailing!
-Week 3! All plants have been topped and are due for a haircut.
-Next is some defoliation. I’ve fed a half dose of Recharge at .25 tsp per gallon of water.
-Soon I’m going to start introducing Sensi Grow A+B at half strength. The nutrients in the fox farm ocean forest should begin fading out soon.
Nana Glue 1: medium growth, leaves show light heat stress signs, red stems, but appears healthy
Nana Glue 2: Faster growth, a tiny bit low on nitrogen but otherwise healthy
Nana Glue 3: Slowest growth, the darkest leaves, taller structure
Nana Glue 4: Fastest growth, the side branching is the best, a good color of green
Week 4
- Nana Glue 1-4 are all bouncing back from the topping.
- They all have more intermodal space then I would like, I’m going to try increasing the PAR.
-I’ve started feeding them with Sensi Grow A+B, and they seem to have started to green back up
Here in the next week or so I’ll be transplanting into 3 gallon pots and looking for good clones on each plant. The goal is to save cuttings until the mother plant shows some traits in flower. I’m hoping for a nice frosty plant to keep around for a while!
Week 5!
-All 4 plants have been transplanted into 3 gallon pots.
-the smaller/taller pots are Vivosun brand and they honestly seem like 2.5 gallon pots. They don’t hold near the same amount of soil as the other brands of fabric pots.
My favorite pheno in veg so far is #1.
It’s short, shows the least amount of heat stress, and has great side branching.
#2 shows the most heat stress and is the first plant to droop and need water despite not being the largest.
#3 is overall very healthy but lacks the side branching I’m hunting for.
#4 is a beast with insane stretch between nodes in veg, It simply wouldn’t fit into my garden with the other strains I’m running
But flowering will tell all! In the next week 4-5 clones will be taken from each plant! Stay tuned!
Week 6!
-Clones have been taken from each plant approximately 5 days ago, they’ve recovered well.
-12/12 has been started 2 days ago to begin flowering! Next step is to set up the trellis nets and keep up with canopy maintenance as they stretch.
-Nana glue #1 and #3 have my favorite structure and branching. I’m really curious to see how the flowers turn out on each.
Week 6! Transition week into flower.
The lights have been swapped to 12/12, a 4” square bungee trellis net has been put into the 4x4 and I’ve begun weaving the plants in it.
I plan on doing a second trellis net a few inches up in a couple weeks for support.
Next week we’ll start 1/2 strength flower nutrients and a flower week in this journal!
Week 2 of flower, the stretching is coming to an end (I hope). I’m so used to growing more squat plants, I was not ready for the Gorilla Glue’s stretchy genetics! They quadrupled in height, and are equally as hungry. We installed a second trellis net to weave the top branches in, in an effort to control the canopy.
It looks like the top half of the plants produce bud, while the bottom half don’t. I’m learning a lot with this first run, they’re completely different than anything else in my garden.
Honestly I’m not too impressed with the strain so far, but we’ll see as flower goes on. I’ve made my fair share of mistakes and could have fed heavier before flipping to flower to keep them fed for the huge stretch period.
❄️❄️ WOW! I opened the tent today to an absolute brilliant amount of frost! Some observations:
Nana glue 1: the most well rounded of the phenos, good yield and frost
Nana glue 2: some of the oddest buds I’ve ever seen. Would be rough to breed with it.
Nana glue 3: good yield and frost, similar to plant number 1.
Nana glue 4: WOW. That’s all I can say. Huge stacked buds, unreal amount of frost. A keeper for sure
Unfortunately Nana Glue #1 and #2 both hermed and pollinated the tent. I chopped everything down, tossed it out, and I’ll be starting over with Nana Glue #4 which was the best pheno as it entered week 3-4 of flower. Thanks for following! We’ll try again with fresh clones.
