August 14th Day 44 -

regarding LST if you read from the beginning you have enough knowledge to maintain the LST you should not have make new bends at this point as stated before just re-adjust current positions. LEAF TUCKING goes a long way at this point. I will be removing more leaves shortly.

Regarding my ability to grow this plant -
Overall not happy with the attention I’m able to give this lady. It’sad because we had quite a gathering of friendly faces on this page. As it stands I snapped a branch and the main stem. She’s healing ok, hopfully my new reflector comes today so I can allocate her more light. The sooner the better.

15th August Day 45 - 💧Just water. UPDATE: so we had an issue mishandled her and snapped a branch. I HAVent been able to give her the light she requires but that will soon change, hopefully will pull a bit of yield back. Overall the buds are developing nicely I love chunky indica buds👍🏼
there isn't much info on growcaps on their website, or anywhere..I'll just try it, keep a diary on the plant/plants, and hope that none of those veteran growers beat me up in that "contest"..
@Larimar, Hey I’m sorry for not replying here, Thank you. Yes I think it helps the plant by recovering some of the slow lost by bending her over. You will see the fan leaves petioles will stretch with the branch giving you the ability to keep the leaf and use its photosynthesis power to its branch whilst it still needs it.
Once that branch has created leaves that overshadow the “primary” initial fan leaf you can then remove it as you can see in this weeks update :)
@PharmaZ, Like your esotheric way of LST.. follow the flow of the plant... wow very meaning. i hope i find the flow. because lst is for me a torture and i dont really like to do it. but in your diary its looks very nice and kind to the plant
@Marceleco, hey man sorry didn’t see this, I got just over 20g off her, she was small but I’m sure she can be a heavy yeilder looking at other grows. Overall I’m happy with the outcome👍🏼
@PharmaZ,ohmaaan she is looking very nice. i got to visit you and do a lst workshop. i kow you do nice explanations but i got to see it life......... ok now true...... i will do it when my girls are big enough
its great to have such a community
@bobo420, I’ve grown the Black Domina part of it. And it was great for meds, got these beans for free and I’ve heard good words about the photoperiod. Haven’t seen any outstanding results of the auto yet but then again haven’t looked very hard :)
how do you rate the grow caps man? Someone handed me a plant a a couple months ago, it was all yellow and dying for lack of light and it was in a half liter pot. Brought it home after mad journeys and threw it in with some grow caps. 4 weeks later the whole top layer of soil was a gree moss so i took it out my tent. Four weeks later, today, it's been on my balcony - i water it once a week... it's getten 6hs of sun a day tops but it seems happy... it has some companion growths here and there randomly i'll throw some pictures up to join the @grow_caps competition... after all they sent us some ferts right ?
@CRiSPrGrow, and to be honest this experience using them is not great. Next year I will try again In the summer outdoor in pots of course we shall see how it goes :)
@CRiSPrGrow, looked for the diary but you don’t have 1 for it right? I think they may work better in a living soil. As there would be some interaction between beneficial bacteria and fungi.
@Me_and_my_bitch, Ty you 2 :) I’m happy quality wise for this Sugar Black Rose, quantity is not much I’m not sure how much because it’s not fully dry yet but will let you know
I like the idea of grow caps. But I don’t know if the ratios are “perfect” Soil will always be my strong point though I’m still just a novice, I know that a strong micro life in soil makes for a good plant. Maybe if @growcapsrep added a beneficial bacterial and fungie pack alongside the polymers it may be that extra piece of the puzzle, just a thought. (In just getting into innoculation)✌️🏻
pots made up now so will be putting seedlings in and kicking off my diary too. exciting prospect of a "lazy feed" grow. hoping to use an auto flower too for maximun hands off ( might top though)have rdwc to set up for multi strain grow alongside too ( barneys farm donations
pH up/down is always a good idea, if the water in your region is no good.. the water where i live, is 7, or just below, which is perfect for me.. they say that it saves 30% water, so i guess there is a perlite-like effect to it also.. i know nothing about growcaps, i'm just gonna try it, adding nothing but water.
@Magich, I was wondering... should I add perlite? Should I use Ph up/down? My tap water is 40ppm that’s soft as shit. Am I allowed to use calmag? Or do the polymers contain enough..? I have lots of questions too, not much info to go off I’m afraid. im just going to carry on the way I’m going. As I see it I’m adding water and Calmag to a percentage accepted as “normal water”
@Magich, Mykos were used for transplant, to reduce shock. And improve plant health they are not a nutrient they do not get added every feed it’s a 1 time amendment.
What do you think I should do?
It depresses me how much nicer these look without topping/training. I almost regret doing it to mine, I’m still a newb so it scares me when I alter them. Are you planning on doing anything to train?
@LumberjackBuds, hey mate, I did reply to this message must not have sent. Yes I used to take a deep breath before doing it, but now I’m so confident I will end up with a shorter fatter plant. LST Definitley works for me! When I get my other tent up and running I will leave some plants grow natural with some leaf tucking only to compare. Like a side by side.✌️🏻
