6/12: Soaked seeds in water for 18+ hours. Will transfer to paper towel in the morning. Only had one weird looking seed. May be a dud. 6/16: Two seeds have decent taproots growing. Transferred to rapid rooters. 6/18: The strongest seed is now a nice happy little seedling, but the other seed lost its leaves on its way to sprouting. RIP. 6/19: seedling lookin cute and green! Going to keep her covered in the dome and start seedling nutes tomorrow!

6/20: Fed the seedling with nutes. Still looking healthy! 6/21: first true leaves were tacoing on me. Thought it might be heat stress, so I lowered the heat in the tent from 83 -> 75 this morning. Checked back this afternoon and she looks a bit better. 6/22: steady improvement! The leaves are getting bigger and only fold towards the tips. Thinkin now it’s likely a genetics thing. Still keeping the heat mid 70s. Also the first root is sticking out of the bottom of the plug! Going to transfer it to the 5gal tonight. 6/23: No issues from the root tip being broken. Must be on its way to growing back since the leaves are a bit bigger! 6/24: gave some CalMag. 1mL/gal 6/27: Learning that maintaining that pH really is a constant thing like everyone says it is lmao

I'm going away for a week and my boyfriend's brother is gonna house sit. I'm giving him some basic instructions. Can I premix all the nutes in 1gal of water for a few days for him? Or is it better if he mixes it himself? Thanks!

Your in a dwc, so no need to even shake it. The airstone will re oxygen it in no time. Pre mix is good for 1 week at least. I ran a rdwc and didn't change the resivoir or add anything for 4 weeks in veg with no issues.

6/28: checking for pH stability. I noticed I had to keep checking and adjusting the pH for about 3-4 days after mixing the nutrients. Roots are still not showing out of the bottom. 6/29: Clean and changed out clincher with new nutrient solution. Still no roots peeking out the bottom, so I filled it to touch the bottom of the net pot. (4gal). Leaves are still looking kinda funky, but they look healthy. Normally the leaves are flatter, but this one definitely has… character lol. Still keeping the original hunch that it’s the genetics. The outlet for my light went out today 😭 I think only an hour passed before I noticed and fixed it but lmao. 7/1: Checked pH. Balanced at 5.8! Glad it’s stabilized after a few days this time. The first leaves are looking a little yellow. Maybe a Nitrogen deficiency? Going to monitor and add more nutes tomorrow. I’ve only been working with half the recommended so, so may be time to top up. 7/2: Saw some v early signs of cal deficiency, and with the first leaves yellowing, I’ve gone ahead and re-topped up the nutrients to the full amounts on the feeding schedule.

Beginning of week 3! Will update the nutes when I change out the res~ 7/4: moved the light from about 30in away to 18in. Even moving the light made a difference in how quick growth is coming along. Also seeing some roots come out around the rapid rooter so seems to be coming along nicely. 7/6: We went from having no roots peeking out the bottom, to having a bunch of them appear overnight! That was kinda cool~ Gonna do a change out today, take out the great white and just stick with Hydroguard for less residue. I’m going away for a week to FL on Friday, so I gave my boyfriends brother instructions on how to pH balance. Hopefully all of that goes well~

Whew! Was gone this week (7/8 - 7/18) on vacation, and thankfully my SO’s brother and my own brother were able to babysit this gal for me! I topped her just before I left, and they sent me some snaps throughout the week to make sure she was staying healthy! Was originally going to premix some nutrients, but she ended up doing just fine with the same week 3 batch I’ve been keepin her on. This will be a more sparse update, but next week I’ll be able to update more regularly/accurately. ☺️☺️

7/19: Got back from vacation to an absolute MONSTER. This method does not play around with how quickly growth kicks off once the roots are out and drinking. After a defoliation session, she’s looking a lot more tame, and a lot more light is getting to those other sites. I want to LST, so I’m getting some clips tomorrow to help out with light coverage. There was maybe 1.5 gallons of nutrient water left, so I mixed up another batch of the same concentration as the last few weeks. I think I’m going to give her a few more weeks before flipping into flower~

Still tending to my grow! Decided to post on a backdated schedule that way I don’t have to edit the diary every other day. She looks incredibly healthy! I’m noticing for how much she drinks (which is about 1.5gal/week), she’s leaving a lot of nutrients behind. I suppose as long as she doesn’t show signs of deficiencies or nute burn, then I think we’re good :) if anything I’ll start cutting back to save on the nutrients 😅😅. Anyway! It’s an exciting week coming up. I’m finally flipping her to flower!! I didn’t want her getting too tall since I want to accommodate for a stretch! I’m really jazzed. I used to grow autos before last year, and I like the control I get with photos. Think I might stick with them from now on~ Anyway, have a chill week!!

Been a chill week on the grow. Been doing some defol this week to get her prepped for when these buds start coming in. I haven’t seen any pistils yet, but the tops are starting to stretch and get lighter so we’re on the right track! Average flowering time is 8-9 weeks with this strain, so I’m excited to get to this part.

Man she really does just keep growin! So far so great. Got a great look on the e leaves. I still Check pretty regularly for pH, but when I didn’t for a few days, I started noticing some signs of calcium deficiency. Sure enough, my pH was all outta whack. …gotta stay vigilant I guess lol. But with cleanup and new nutrients, I’m excited for the coming weeks! There’s already a smell coming from the stems, and the pistols are starting to really pop.

Yo yo. Been keeping an eye on the leaves and the spots. I kept a closer eye on pH this week and I was keeping it at 5.8, but I noticed whenever I was defoliating some fan leaves, the stems would leak water and nutes all over the other leaves. So… may be a false alarm. Which is good. The smell is starting to come through a lot. Whenever I open the flap I get hit with a strong floral smell. I can’t wait until the bids start coming in! This strain can change colors too so I’m looking forward to seeing that pan out. (If it even does) Anyway! Gonna refill the nutes today with these measurements. Stay cool out there.

Was a chill week this week. Just regularly checking pH and adding water to get the ppm to ~1000 when it goes above 1200. (Usually 1/3 gal rough estimate) The smell is getting even stronger, and the sugar leaves are starting to grow in with the buds!! This is definitely one of my favorite parts, especially since the nutrient mix hasn’t been changing 🙃 See ya next week~

Oh man. These baby buds are starting to grow in! It also smells really loud whenever I open the tent flap. I’m taking that all as a good sign. There haven’t been any issues to note, which has really cemented hydro as my grow method of choice I think. Especially because I can already see now how my yields are going to turn out. I’m not counting my chickens before they hatch or anything, but in soil I was only getting 1-2 ounces per plant. This is easily going to be more than that. I’m jazzed~

Man, only a few more weeks to go!! I’m stoked. I got to change up the nutes this time for the heavier ripen stuff. I used fox farms Tiger Bloom instead of the GH Ripen since it wasn’t going to get relievers to me on time. Apparently the stuffs on back order. But the ratio of nutrients was pretty similar, and they’re both late stage bloom nutes, so I figured it wasn’t a huge deal to cross the streams. I guess time will tell 😅 Until next time. Can’t wait to have some Halloween bud~

I added an extra week of these nutes to keep the buds going strong. Going to a little more diluted feed next week as we close out! Only a few more weeks left and no bad signs 😎😎

The leaves are starting to yellow and turn purple on the edges, which means we’re getting towards the end 😎 I had a spotty week as far as being home, but I’ve been keeping an eye on her to make sure she’s staying healthy. My biggest problem now is some of the stems are falling over since the buds are getting so heavy 😅 not a bad problem to have I suppose. I have a net I can stabilize them with so I’ll probably set that up some time this week while the buds ripen. Speaking of, now when I open the tent, it’s a powerful fruity and floral smell. It’s awesome. A few more weeks and I’ll have some spooky Halloween bud~

At the finish line! Sorry for the delay. Had a few things come up and my journal slipped my mind the last few weeks. I kept the nutrient schedule pretty regular and flushed for the last week. I turned off the lights for 48 hours before chopping her down. (I heard thatchers with Trichine production). Harvest went really smooth. Just put her in a closet for about 10 days and checked the stems for dryness before trimming. She’s curing now, but I did take a cheeky peek and smoke some friends over a chill night of Magic the Gathering. It was awesome. Happy growing everyone! Thanks for all of the pointers and advice on this one. I still had some bumps, but this community has been great in helping me out. I’ve started another grow with a strain from Green Point Seeds that I’m pretty excited about, so if you want to keep following please check it out! I’m always open to advice for grows.
