The seed was put in my germinator, that keeps a steady temperature, to grow a tail. A bit unnecessary when considering it in hindsight since it's too warm now anyway...
after succesful germination the seed was planted and sprouted in 1 day.
During the first week the plant has been growing well and she is coming along nicely. I've been adding a bit of nutrient mix to the soil daily to carefully moisten the soil while trying to give the seedling a good start. So far all is going well.
This baby grows well. She has developed well this last week and I removed the shoots at node 1 at day 14. At day 15 she will get topped and training will start.
She is very happy and healthy. This week I started doing LST. I'm tying and twisting all the branches down. I've removed most of the new shoots and kept the foliage.
Strawberry Cake is growing well. This week the training has continued. I've also removed some leaves that were blocking out too much light. We start to see the initial signs of flowering and I expect some stretching in the coming weeks.
So, my original plan was to germinate this plant and 2 others indoors, and then take them to my girlfriend's terrace where they were supposed to spend their lives. This would, however, only allow me to see those plants every second weekend, and I just couldn't let go of my babies. Once I started to train them for hours on a daily basis I got too a strong bond with them. I decided to instead let them stay indoors. It will be tight with the 3 of them in there, but we'll see how we go. If I'd known I'd never have chosen 25 litre pots for them....
This girl is flowering a bit slower than the other 2 plants in the tent. Stretching has been very limited so far, thanks to the training. I have kept working on training her branches in a position I like during the week, and I have removed leaves I didn't like. The shape she is growing in now is perfect for the limited space she is given, and we see all 6 main branches at almost the same height and having similar sized bud development. I'm away from my babies for a few days and I can't wait to see how she looks like when I get back. I hope I've raised the light high enough...
On the last 2 pics we can see some free riders in the tent. My old (once white) Oakleys have been yellowed by too many hours in the sun. I'm trying to restore them to their previous glory by soaking them in peroxide and giving them a good dose of UV light from my Viparspectra XS2000. After a few days they look great, and I think they'll get whiter given more time in the peroxide bath inside the grow tent. We'll see...
SHe was a bit behind the. other girls before, but now she is catching up. She is building some beautiful colas that is stacking up.
I've picked some leaves, but not that many.
This beautiful baby is starting to stack her buds. SHe's getting nice long colas with satelite buds all over. She is a little bit slower than her tent sisters, but she is starting to catch up.
She's a little bit slower than her tent sisters to flower, but she's coming... I've removed some leaves and I've also installed support rings to help keep her colas up as they're getting heavier.
The slow girl is catching up. Her buds start to look amazing with some very good trichome production. I have defoliated some and kept training her with the rings. The rings make her very steady. and easy to man handle. She smells lovely!
She's looking better and better. Her colas are swelling up with beautiful buds. Her smell is getting stronger each day. She's got a little bit longer to go, but not much.
My Strawberry girl is finishing up perfectly. She is still very healthy and has hardly had any discoloured leaves at all yet. She is fattening up her buds that are looking amazing. The smell is very good and strong.
This is a.stinker!! She smells so strong! I love it! 💚
After Cinderella Jack was removed st day 86, the remaining two plants have some extra space to enjoy. This baby loves it and she can spread out a bit more. Almost harvest time now....
