The seed was put in my germinator, that keeps a steady temperature, to grow a tail. A bit unnecessary when considering it in hindsight since it's too warm now anyway...
after succesful germination the seed was planted and sprouted in 1 day.
During the first week the plant has been growing normally with no issues or surprises. I've been adding a bit of nutrient mix to the soil daily to carefully moisten the soil while trying to give the seedling a good start. So far all is going well.
Training has started! This girl is growing very fast, she is the strongest growing plant of my 3 current strains now. At day 13 I removed the shoots at node 1. At day 14 I topped her above node 4. She will now get 6 main branches that I will start LST soon.
This girl is doing very well. She will get strong for sure. This week I started doing LST. I'm tying and twisting all the branches down. I've removed most of the new shoots and kep the foliage.
The girl is doing incredibly well. She's growing like a champ. This week the training has continued. I've also removed some leaves that were blocking out too much light. We start to see the initial signs of flowering and I expect some stretching in the coming weeks.
So, my original plan was to germinate this plant and 2 others indoors, and then take them to my girlfriend's terrace where they were supposed to spend their lives. This would, however, only allow me to see those plants every second weekend, and I just couldn't let go of my babies. Once I started to train them for hours on a daily basis I got too a strong bond with them. I decided to instead let them stay indoors. It will be tight with the 3 of them in there, but we'll see how we go. If I'd known I'd never have chosen 25 litre pots for them....
This week she has started flowering. Stretching has been very limited so far, thanks to the training. I have kept working on training her branches in a position I like during the week, and I have removed leaves I didn't like. The shape she is growing in now is perfect for the limited space she is given, and we see all 6 main branches at almost the same height and having similar sized bud development. I'm away from my babies for a few days and I can't wait to see how she looks like when I get back. I hope I've raised the light high enough...
On the last 2 pics we can see some free riders in the tent. My old (once white) Oakleys have been yellowed by too many hours in the sun. I'm trying to restore them to their previous glory by soaking them in peroxide and giving them a good dose of UV light from my Viparspectra XS2000. After a few days they look great, and I think they'll get whiter given more time in the peroxide bath inside the grow tent. We'll see...
She is fully occupied stacking up her buds on those colas that are getting longer and longer - Sweet! She's the biggest of the bunch with the most impressive buds so far. I've picked some leaves, but not that many.
I haven't needed to do much LST or defoliation, but I've done a little bit. She is turning into a stunning beauty. Her 6 main colas are fattening up and they're getting tall.
This week I've done a bit of defoliation and some training. I'm testing these support things with 3 rings. The way I've trained these girls make the colas very inclined to fall over sideways. The rings together with the stalks allowed me to support all the colas. Now they should all be safe - fingers crossed...
Her buds are starting to look beautiful. She has stopped growing height wise, and is now fattening up. I have removed some illicit leaves during the week, but only a few. I've also adjusted her training slightly. After installing the rings she is very easy to handle - super steady! Her smell is getting stronger, she smells great.
This week I have removed some leaves and adjusted her trining constraints a bit. She is doing really well and her buds are fattening up. She's starting to show some sticky trichomes.
The fancy summer gear is for Fast Buds competition.
Wow! The smell! She smells amazingly! A very strong and pungent smell.
She is finishing up beautifully and her buds are swelling - sweet. I'll let her go a bit longer on a light diet.
After the removal of Cinderella Jack from the tent, these two girls are getting some better space for the finish run. She is looking great and she is very sticky. Her smell is very strong.
This plant grew very well. It was easy to train, and easy to keep going after the training. She developed beautiful long colas, and she was smelling strongly in the end. Great strain!
Hey there,
Thanks a bunch for growing our genetics, and sharing this diary with us :)
We hope that it was a nice experience, and that you enjoy the harvest!
Have a good one
Thanks @Kmikaz420,
For this round I decided I'd give them some extra love 💚. For about 2 weeks I spent almost an hour daily per plant training them. I love the shape they've got.
@MonkeyGrower,
I have broken many many branches while training my girls. It's almost always possible to fix them after being snapped, but they are always weaker than the unbroken branches.
@MonkeyGrower, yes, breaking the main stem is bad. Since I topped I don't have a main stem, instead 6 main branches. The one that broke still has a massive cola, so I'm not too upset.
