Chubby Gorilla! Peyote Gorilla Mainline

Hey growmies, My little gorilla is 7 days old now, and she's ready for her new home. its always a little slow at first but these buckets really kickstart your plants, constant oxygenated water directly to the roots. I will be adding an airstone later down the line, when roots hit the nutrient solution outside of the hydroton basket. We will now have to wait for her to grow 6 nodes, which will take a couple of weeks. come check it out, imma cut this lady in half.

Hey growmies! Somewhere mid week 2 of veg this plants roots and growth just exploded! I love her chubby leaves. She's doing great, I think I might hit 6 nodes in week 3, which is when I cut the plant in half so stay tuned!

hey growmies. This week I topped and defoliated this chubby gorilla in preparation of creating the mainline! She bounced back a couple days after topping, but growth will need some time to speed up again. Her leaves are very chubby and stout, thats how she earned the monniker. hope to see you next week, stay safe and keep growing

Hey growmies. I topped her for a second time and we now have 8 tops. This girl is so short and stubby though, so at the end of the week I did some defoliation to open her up. I might flip to flower sooner than thought

Hey growmies! this week was a lot of experimentation for me, the Nebula haze guide I follow doesn't Quite work for my plant, her nodespacing is so tight and she's so short I had to mass defoliate the center multiple times this week. She appears healthy and responds to the stress very well, normally, week 5 would be when I would normally consider switching to flower, however, I think she still needs a week or two, since I need more training, still I am very curious to see if a manifold increases the harvest quality enough for me to be okay with the extra two weeks of veg. If i wasn't doing Hydro I wouldn't be surprised if it added 3 whole weeks or even more, you can tell in the pictures how much she grew in a week when I am actively cutting her every day, DWC is great! theres a picture in there of my roots coming out of the basket, that's why I add an airstone, the dripper ring alone would never fully oxygenate a weed plant. if you use a bucket like mine, keep that in mind. At the end of the week I cleaned every cola to the top 2 tips, i did this to beefen up my base and widen it more, check back next week to see how she recovers!

Hey growmies, this week this little gorilla spend most of the time recovering from last weeks training, I have added extra end of the week to show one day of growth now she has recovered. the plan is for next week to be the last week of veg.

Hey Growmies! The last week of veg has come and gone, I defoliated her one last time before flipping, 7 weeks of veg has resulted in a relatively small plant for hydro, but it's too early to call anything, flower changes everything.

hey growmies, First week of flower is over, no real signs of flower yet, my tent shes currently in isnt 100% lightproof, but it should be fine. since theres no signs of flower yet, I went ahead and defoliated oncemore

Heya Growmies. Took a risk here, week 2 of flower and I'm only now starting to see her first pistils, she was very slow to start flowering. I made a judgement call and took off more branches and lollipopped, I did this because the point of this grow was to avoid popcorn buds, and if I had allowed those things to grow, I wouldve had airflow problems and larfy buds, we dont want that, I wouldn't suggest Lollipopping after flipping, not untill the plant has finished stretching, this way, the plant doesnt waste time recovering during this delicate period. My chubby gorilla and me are used to the snips by now, I know she recovers fast. Next week Im putting in a trellis, I'm not going to lie, I should have LST'd more to really make the main line shine. I hope you follow her progress in flower along with me, I am very excited to see what kind of flowers and stretch we get from this strain. She doesn't complain a lot, solid genetics so far!

Hey growmies! Some problems this week. its week 3 Flower and our plant is still so small, the plant barely stretched so far, even though trichomes are already appearing in her leaves. so as a "Solution" I am trying extreme defoliation, also known as schwazzing, this involves removing most fan leaves. This technique has a lot of benefits and drawbacks, and those benefits are subject to scrutinization, often cited as "bro-science" This grow, I am experimenting, and this chubby little gorilla is too thiccc for her own good, so off the leaves came. What are the risks? She might herm on me, growing male parts due to the stress, she could also lock herself out and stunt her flowers, potentially even just wilt. Another problem arose, the Silic rock I use, clogs up both air stones and my hydro ring, I managed to catch that before any symptoms of oxygen shortage displayed itself, so I doubt this will affect her too much, it is fixed now. Check back next week to see whether or not she hermed, and if she didn't, lets see how those flowers react to receiving more light and air!

Hey Growmies. She didn't herm! She responded great to the defoliation. She even needed more this week. Her stretch is over, she stretched for like 15% and that's it, i wonder if it's the phenotype or something I did. I might save her genetics, small phenotypes can be useful, but they have to still yield for it to be worth it, we'll see if this plant will be worth keeping in 4 weeks! I'm already thinking of putting 4 clones into a big tote.

Heya Growmies Week 5 flower is over, the scents are getting stronger and the plant is getting frostier, there's some weird growth on a single flower, looks like it revegged or something, but I checked CCTV and my light cycle is ok and so is my light leaks, might be just a mutation. I'll keep an eye on it

Going okay, buds fattening up, a few more weeks and we're done. Couple of weeks ago I took a cutting and just dropped it into water, this pheno clones pretty well even in flower and it rooted. I will try to monster crop this clone, if this chubby gorilla ends up being a keeper i might use it for a ScroG run, her very minimal flower stretch is an interesting trait I might want to keep.

Hey growmies! Week 7 of flower is over, and my anxiety about the end result of this plant are starting to die down. This girl is incredibly frosty and smells so good She won't be my biggest yielder, however with 3 weeks left on the clock there's still some time to pack on a little more weight. this is my first time Manifolding, there's two things I would change if I were to do this again 1- I would veg one extra week 2- I would do more LST and no defoliation first two weeks of flower. The latter especially, I defoliated early flower, as a result the plant is bushier and shorter

Hey growmies! Last week of flower has ended, she will be harvested this week. She smells nice, her buds are small but dense, i'm excited to see what the quality is going to be like, as well of the yield. Im not sure if Manifolding is the way forward for me, unless the yield and quality is actually better, Normally I get over 200G out of my tent, since this plant didn't use the entire tent, due to me not vegging for long enough after manifolding, I would be okay with a yield of 150g I'm not going to lie, I might have to try Manifolding again, I can do better than this. Hey Growmies! The harvest results are in! Growdiaries' harvest section is infamously confusing, with it being split up into harvest and smoke review: Here's my end results: 0g of larf, Honestly all buds were nice 96g of high Quality bud The total dry time ended up taking 10 days with that out the way, this grow was okay, it was my first time mainlining, so I made a couple of crucial mistakes which hurt my yield (But not the Quality!) Here's a few things I would do different mainlining in the future: Possibly 2 plants for my 2.3x2.3 Pull branches down more in flower, i was too scared If not using 2 plants, another week of veg probably would have doubled my yield. The quality of mainlining is honestly superb, all of Peyote Gorilla's buds were nice and hard!
