Sponsored barneysfarm run. Runtz X layer cake is 50/50 S/I. 27% THC.
Germinated in water after 12 hrs, (once you get a tap, move to next step, or if seed drops to bottom take it out, as it might drown) moved to 2x2 cotton pads with seed in between wrapped in cloth. Both cotton pads were damp with tap 110 ppm 6.7ph at 23c 66RH and put in a dark press.
8/18 Germination success. Nice long tap root, is been moved into pre mixed green house feeding bioline
Thanks to my sponsor and the rep I dealt with barneysfarm for supplying me with these seeds.
Welcome to my sponsored Runtz X Layer Cake from BarneysFarm.
Was only in the ground 12hrs and she was up. As you'll see in the germination week she had a 1 - 1.5cm tap root and. I mixed 3g of powder for every 1L of light mix substrate. I filled the pot 3/4 full and wet with 300ml of bioenhancer, sprayed the rest that was going in on top, soil needs to be ready, (don't water after you put the substrate in, the seed can move, drown, the soil that was lightly packed in falls in on itself and you'll have collapse later on as she starts to grow. Don't compact the soil In yourself, the liquid should do it. Fill the rest of the 1/4 of the pot with your damp substrate and make a little mound, (pic above) make sure the tap root is facing down, (now some tap roots might curl up, don't try bending it down into the substrate, what you need to do is place it on an angle, / like that tap root on bottom and the root will take hold and the seed will push itself up, if you try force the tap root down you risk breaking the tap and seed might die.
Trying to keep the RH as High as I can without compromising my late flowering plants in my big tent. The seedling tent is inside the big one on a negative seal. I have a damp towl in the small tent why you see a 10% dif in RH when my plants finish up next week I'll up the RH to 70+%.
Seedling Day 3. She's doing great. Settling in well in her new digs. Hopefully soon we'll start seeing a lot of fungus, (mycelium), seeing some already so it's great. Just water and Bioenhancer every 2 weeks, so far, so good. Now that we are in optimal growing range for seedlings I'm expecting things to take off in the next 2 weeks.
Seedling Day 7, she's moved quickly the last 2 days. Barneys strains are so strong and quick. You can tell they are hybrids.
(Hybrids are when you have a mix between indica & sativa) and this girl is 50/50..
Welcome to my Barneysfarm new strain sponsored diary.
VD 10. Great growth this week. Really happy with the results. Some are doing better than others, but growth is good with all my gals. Had the odd mutation that crippled 1. But 95% of them are going strong and loving life.
VD11 just amazing growth. wow, wow, wow, she was really struggling week 1, but the last 4 days, she's non stop blowing all others away.
Thanks to the reps from barneysfarm and marshydro led lights for giving me these great products.
Welcome to my barneysfarm sponsored run.
Week 3 VD(s)15-16 Doing really well, catching up quick and has passed others that are in the ground longer. Haven't decided which way I'm going to go with her yet, but are has great traits. Have uppotted her finally. All my plants have suffered with late uppotting due to me having covid. But nearly back at full strength and will be back giving it my all soon.
VD 18 topped above the 5th. Doing really well. Nice and healthy. Growth hasn't been as fast as I'd of liked. But hey, she's purthy.
VD19-21 taking a nice natural shape. No defs, no issues. Nice pheno.. Gave some cal/epsom salt 280ppn +110 ambient tap. PH 6.7
VD22 UPDATE for people answering Q. Found gnats today. I'd say the 3-4 I seen where full adults. Good bed of fungus on it. So, I'm thinking of using DE. For now I'll lay yellow sticky bug traps.
Thanks to my Sponsors from barneysfarm and marshydro led lights and to the 2 reps I personally dealt with, much appreciated.

FC & FC-E Versions: Info on FC 3000 and marshydro lights as a whole. So the difference between the FC & FC-E is the E versions use bridgelux diodes. They still have the new UV addition the FC versions do. (If you want more info on what the UV does DM me)
TS versions: Have the same led chips as the FC versions but doesn't have as a uniformed PPFD, but do have a higher PPE/PPF in the middle of the lights, so if you have a TS version, just move your plants every 2 days and rotate them so they can share in the high PPF in the middle.

WK 4 VD22-28
Plant is doing super good. Had a fungus gnat/fruit fly infestation so was battling that for the week. Have a diary up on how to get rid off. Took me 4-5 days. I go over what I did. And what you can use depending what you have at home on hand. But she's doing really well. Filled out some and has taken a lovely shape. No need for LST. I am going to shape her a little maybe the top ends of the nodes I'll bend so they aren't stacking up on each other and the 2 sets of nodes on the top are still soft so I can decide which way best to place them during the week.

The FC 3000 300w it has a high ppfd 1525 umol/s, 2.85 efficacy and has the new UV addition which brings it closer to the (RA) spectrum, that's the Sun spectrum. The FC-FC-E has this, Also it has a much even PPFD making for a more evenly grown canopy and has a deep penetrative light as it allows you to move the light closer to your canopy with a reduced risk of light stress. The TS versions are a great light to. These are different though. As they have a much higher ppfd in the middle, so I suggest you rotate them plants and move em about to get the best out of the high PPFD

VD(s) 29-33 Plant has taken a lovely shape. Took to a little more LST really well. Some leafs have started to cone a little. I think this is down to lack of Air Circulation and low Co2 more so then heat stress. I've opened 3 cheap co2 bags and have 1 in each tent and 1 open in my grow room. Even with the intakes on the co2 should go back up. If I have to I'll up the intake fan from 5 to 8. But the negative seal is enough atm and the temp is in normal range. So I think they are just co2 hungry. Took a few choice leafs off. Very little and will take a close look this week and I'll decide when I'll flip her. Am just going to leave her to eat what's left in the pot for the rest of the week. I'll add some cal & Epsom salt next week.
Thanks to my sponsors from barneysfarm and marshydro and to both reps I dealt with, much appreciated.

Decided to flip 6 of my fems. It was more of a had to. I'm juggling 15 plants, 7 autos 2 fems still vegging and 6 I've flipped.
D35 IN LIMBO. Have flipped 6 of my fems and am moving 2 other fems as I'm still vegging them, and then when it hits the 6hr in between the dark rest period in my 100cm2 I move the veggin fems into the 70cm2 and any autos I can. I try give all autos 18hrs. I have 2 autos still not flowering so they take up the 1st 6hrs then I switch it up. Very confusing I know. But, I planned it out like this. Its why I started all my plants at dif stages, but they all preFlower in a 3-4wk period, (that's the plan) As my space is limited. But, for now. It's working for me. This plant has such a lovely shape. So, I found when I was trying to uppot the roots were all on the inside and my early uppoting has made for the roots growing deep inside. And it's very hard to get the pots off. (Not that I can't, it's just a nightmare). It just made more sense to add biobloom powder as top dressing. If I think they are root bound in a few weeks. I'll uppot them. But there is loads of room for root growth. Will look at her shape this week. And If I need to ill shape her out. But she has a top shape.

Days 42-46 After about a week of the me adding the biobloom powder to the top. Lovely fungus has appeared. Lots of it. It's throughout the entire pot as I checked the drain holes and they were all nearly blocked with fungus, asked
Wow. She is doing super. Looks fantastic and has take a lovely shape. I took to doing LST a bit. Not much, just the lower nodes last week and that. Haven't done any internodes, nor am I going to. Going to get in there this week and try open her up a little. And if I have to pull or tighten things to move nodes I will, I'll leaf tuck where I can. But that's not needed now. She's in growth stage, even in pre flower the aim of the game is to move what you havent lolipopped into the light (leafs) coming from all nodes need to be exposed to light. This is where they are needed most. DO NOT DEFOLIATE. As I said. I'll move what when it's needed. She has just the right about of top growth to give me some lovely colas. As the lower ends have 8-10cm nodes coming up that have 3 bud sites on their tops and another in the middle. So hopefully (bud willing) they'll come together to make for a lovely tiny canopy. Below that there is another set to fill in the canopy so they will need to be adjusted after they are a wk into preflower and what's not needed or looks like it'll be of little use but energy wasting will be removed in the final unwanted growth removal. I'll nurture everything to harvest hopefully by doing as little as possible nutrient wise. I know she'll need cal and I have that, and for mag I have epsom salts. And if she needs iron I'll add some hybrid powder but only if needed.
DAYS47-49 Has come into Pre Flower. Is either on day 3-5 not 100% sure. I'll know when she's done with pre flower when height slows down.
Are my dreams coming true here. Is this the strain I'll throw most of my focus into in the future. Who knows. But, she's a purthy plant. Gave a feed of bioenhancer today. And just plane Jane watering. Had to pour it over all my lovely fungus, no doubt it'll go green now. But that's just as good, as long as it degrades I don't care what color it is. Wondering will she pick up any fade. A few of my later stages (still in pre flower) autos are showing real lovely early signs of purple on the leafs. Can't wait till ripening they gonna be lovely. I love winter.

Plant is coming along nicely. Very nice structure and very healthy. Not a lot of girt to her. But what is there, is very nice and has a sweet aroma already. No issues, some old war wounds but other than that. Hopefully She won't need anymore bloom powder. Let's see. Just been giving water. 6.7 and added some cal + Epsom salt to bring my tap up from 110ppm to 250ppm.

Welcome to my Runtz X Layer Cake Female Diary from Barneysfarm.
Wk 9 Days 58-63 (device was lost, and all picture, video days 57-69 were lost, so here's my account) just had finished pre flower and started to stack heavily on building top bud sites. Laded with thich compact trichomes. She has bright orange hairs. That give of a lovely musk of armoas that take over your senses. 2/3rds down the main bud sites, very healthy huge sugar leafs surround her, but, if hasn't taken away from below, as the sites are smaller, but have so much frost. And she had at least 14-20 more days.
Wk 10 days 64-70 As you can see. She has a beautiful shape. Some of the nicest looking bud I've yet grown. She took to LST really well. Had I lollipopped the heck out of her, and make for some pretty good solid top colas with some small dense bud sites that have 1/3 the trichomes to calyxs. The calyex to sugar leaf ratio is super low, but 2/3s down she has many large sugar leafs that have shaded out her canopy. But, by moving her around and adjusting LST and leaf tucking. I've literally done hardly any defoliation. Am going to squeeze some in this week. Not, that its needed. But, there is some still more growing to do down below. And if I leave her to mature without allowing light to hit her harder down further into the canopy I risk the chance of overcooking the hard earned Rock Hard half fist sized buds. Have a feeling this gonna be some of my best smoke to date. The plant is in tip top shape. No defiencies no toxicity. 1st time for me. Am just going to let her ride out the next 2 weeks on water. Should be enough in pot to finish her off.
Lots of pics to come over the next few weeks.

Week 11. DAYS 71-77.. Plant is doing really well finishing up really fast. There's about 8 main top bud sites that are very frosty, with some buds running down the nodes that are extremely frosty. I didn't do much of any defoliation, as I lollipopped 50% of all lower sites to get the best results as possible for the top. And, it seems to have worked. (Definitely going to scrog this strain). Aiming for Quality here. So, not to bothered by the quantity. Or else I'd of went a different route by adding more of a light mix or coco to give more bulk. She's loaded with trichones and is 1 of the most pungent plants to date. She has a lovely structure. (Will show on next update) with orange hairs, with hues of purple of sugar leafs, that will make for some of the best trim I'll have gotten to date.
She hasn't needed anything in the way of nutrients since pre flower. Just water. So. Looks like I hit the ratio mix on the head. All she's been given other other than water the past few weeks was bioenhancer.
She's much further ahead actually. I will upload the pics she's on day 90 now.
Thanks for dropping by. And shout out to my sponsors (reps) from MarsHydro. Much appreciated.
Welcome to my Runtz X Layer Cake Diary.
This is my last grow week for this lady.
(Currently she is dark resting)
Wk 12. Been watching this girl closely. Scoped her with my 60x microscope. All truchomes are just about cloudy. Trichomes are 45%+. (The way I like my bud) some like 30%+/-. I like a harsher smoke.
Have just been watering, no enhancers or cal/Epsom salts. She has a lovely shape. And is loaded heavily with trichones with glistening orange pistils that make the buds pop. There won't be a lot of bud. But, that wasn't my aim. Quality is what I'm seeking.
I'm sure if I left her longer. I'd get a nice fade. But, she's done. And I'm not willing to damage my bud for the sake of apparence.
Thanks to my sponsors from barneysfarm + Mars Hydro. (Reps) much appreciated.

Buds grew nice and fat. Heavily frosted with scents of sweet fruits and a very sharp citrus overtone that has my tongue watering. I can't wait to taste this girl. I had her growing for 95 days. Flowering for 55-60 days easy. It was a quick grow. As I was aiming for quality. I lollipopped a lot of growth that was below the top main bud sites. (As you'll see in the pics leafs have started to wrap themselves around the bud. As they are still somewhat wet, you want to remove these before they shrink into your bud and will make for trimming a nightmare.)
. And no, I haven't hit pass my last average of 70-100 g per harvest. I've been hitting 35-40max but the bud has been twice, I'd go as far as even 3x stronger than my last crop. This grow, there was a lot of LST to focus on top main buds with lots of lollipoppoing. I'm expecting nice hard buds that hopefully won't shrink to much. (More will be updated once dry and and trim has been done, into it 4 days now on dry 59-62% RH temp 16-18c. Dark rested also for 72-80hrs)
Grow went without too much trouble at all. Done a very light veg on these as all my plants vegged out really fast. Vegged out for 35+ days and was brought through to day 95.. so, around 55-60 days flowering total. Done hardly any defoliation. As there was no point. As I took a lot of the growth below (down the nodes) to max out on the top energy wise and made for lovely super sticky sweet citrus plant with huge buds on top with very frosty sugar leafs. That I can't wait to taste and give a dry weight. Haven't tested. But she deserves 10☆ easy. She grew really well. And as intended.. she'd be a great plant to scrog. Really easy to shape her into a natural canopy. Her side nodes grow pretty much even when topped making for a very nice even canopy once LST is applied properly. She went into flowering from Veg without skipping a beat. And is very easy to grow. No nutrient burn. And she took a lot of punishment from drying out the soil and adding pesticides (orgainc DE) and h202 + water and I tried alcohol 80% +'water 1:1 ratios.
Total she took 95 days from seed to harvest (including a 3 day dark rest) flowering took roughly 60 days. Everything trichome wise was 95% cloudy. 45%+ ambers, some of the mostly packed with long trichomes. Making her for one sticky sweet girl. Should make for a nice cough lock with nice strong tastes. I haven't even tried. And, I can tell you. She's going to live up to her name.
Plan to 2 month cure this girl.
Will update as I go.
11/28th 4 days into drying.

@Nicogreen,
Lol. I've been sucked into buying that crap. They were my 1st buy..
My buds are big and have much better quality than advanced nutrients. TERRA POWER are the ones who made all those nutrients and hold the patterns to most of all that brand of nutrients. (You should try them, they've improved upon their recipes and the old ones AN use)
Thanks for checking in. Enjoy your grows..
