Back after a bit of a rest. Upgraded to he Mars Hydro 2 400 and she seems pretty decent so far, definitely a step up from the Mars Hydro 300. Running 2 Strawberry Nuggets seeds in plant magic soil as usual, was only gonna do 1 but the first one got uprooted twice so popped a second as I thought the other wouldn't recover. Turns outs she's perfectly fine and doing well. Not sure if I'll have the space for 2 though we'll see. Good to be back though and thanks for looking.
She's coming along nicely, growth is fast and healthy. Roots have already popped out the bottom, the voodoo juice really makes a difference. I'm gonna focus mainly on the second seed I planted, she's already got a sweet strawberry smell coming on. In terms of height she's very low to the ground with the first fan leaves touching the soil but she has a very dense bushy structure kinda like the Deep Blue C by mephisto, those guys really know what they're doing every single strain I've grown out was unbelievable in quality some of the best out there. 👍💪
Hi @Maxranger! You can remove leaves at a very young age, if you do it slightly (2 leaves at a time, max), it can be useful if those leaves are creating shades onto lower stems. However, a real defoliation (more than 2 leaves) shouldn't be done until week 3-4, and only if the plant is healthy. Hope this helps, keep us up-to-date and happy growing! 👊
Week 3 and she's really getting going now, nice rate of growth although she's still very short. There's also a slight smell emanating from the plant and it's amazing, like sour strawberry with a slight sweetness to it. You always get something new and exciting from Mephisto genetics!
Update day 20:
She's getting so dense, only a tiny bit of vertical growth but those big lower branches are starting to reach the height of the main cola, exactly like the Deep Blue C. Happy growing!
Lost the photos from week 4 so here we are at week 5 and she's looking pretty nice although I have noticed a difference between the two, the girl I've been focusing on doesn't smell as strong and I've noticed a little colour appearing on the other, she is slightly older but she just seems different so I'll include photos of the both from now on. Both doing very well and responding well to feeding, 2 of the healthiest plants I've seen for a while. The smell on plant #1 is just insane like a super sweet fresh strawberry. Thanks for looking
36 days in and she's frosting up nicely, both are glistening with trichs. Upped the nutes a bit, seem to be doing alright although plant one has developed some brown spots on the lower fans. I'll get some pics up, any help would be appreciated. They both have completely different aromas, plant 1 has that mad fresh super sweet strawberry smell where as plant 2 has a sour almost vomit like strawberry smell, still very nice though! Looking forward to these a lot, i reckon another 3 to 4 weeks for plant 1 and 5 to 6 for plant 2. 😎
Plant 1 has really started to swell up, she's so juicy. Just taking her out of the tent fills the room with a dank strawberry aroma, so pleasant. Plant 2 is starting to come along nicely too, buds fattening and she's starting to smell a bit more pungent. Although not the easiest plant to grow she's definitely worth running purely for the taste and aroma! You can count on mephisto for those crazy flavours.
Well the buds have been dried and now they're in the jar for the cure. I've had a little sample smoke and she is insane, really deep sweet strawberry taste with a lovely earthy kush underneath absolutely perfect. She's just covered in trichs too, really frosty plant. The effects are heavy from the onset, 2 tokes in and you're there. Really nice deep relaxation starting from the head down. perfect for a late night smoke. Really impressed with this plant although I could've managed them better, I'll definitely try this one again. Another great strain from Mephisto, they always turn out amazing.
