C-47 Feminized with growcaps

I finally received my grow caps for the contest so I started immediately and hope i'm not too late! I figured I'd use a photoperiodic strain so I can decide when to start flowering myself.. I know it's a little late to start a new plant outside but I will give her the extra lighthours she requires to grow big enough before I change the lightschedule to 12/12.. I germinated a seed that I ordered from hyseeds.nl.. 5 seeds for 15 euro so I thought let's give it a try.. It's a cross between Critical (Big Bud x Skunk) and AK-47. She is supposed to be very mold resistant.. (we'll see about that soon enough I guess).. I'm very curious how the Growcaps will to its job.. When it's mixed in the soil and you add water to it, it turns the small particles from the Growcaps in to some kind of jelly😋 so let's see what happens! It had a good start for sure.. Seed was germinated within 30 hours and popped a day after I planted her in the soil

Day 8: So the first week was insanely hot.. 6 days above 30 Celsius.. But she made it😁 I'm still using some extra light for 2,5 hours when it's getting dark.. Day 13: The weather was not so great the last week.. The sun was gone and the temps dropped from 35C to 20-25C.. There was a lot of rain and strong winds so I decided to put her in my DIY growbox under a 300w LED on 18/6 lightschedule. When the weather gets a little better and she's a bit bigger I will put her outside again

Day 15: So the last week she's been indoors under my led and I'm thinking about keeping her there.. She's doing great! A lot of new leaves have formed and those are growing pretty fast! I'm curious to see how much she will grow in the next week! When she reaches the 5th node I will FIM her and let it grow for a week or so before I change to 12/12 Day 17: she really started to take off! Her leafs grew a lot and the stem is starting to fatten up. She is growing her 5th node now so I will FIM her tomorrow! Day 21: I noticed a lot of new growth showing between the big fan leaves.. I used a technique called ponytailing to allow more light on the branch sites so they could catch up a little since the fan leaves have grown quite big already and create lots of shadow.. The leafs of the branches are sticking out a lot more now..

Day 23: she started to take height very quickly now! I did not check on her in 2 days and was shocked to see how much she has grown! I started to tuck the fan leafs under the brach growth so that will have as much light as possible! I want to put her in flower by the end of the week.. Or else she will grow too tall for my growbox (80x50x120)

Day 29: I flipped the lightschedule from 18/6 to 12/12. Day 34: she is starting to stretch a little bit.. The tips of the branches are looking a bit more light green.. Hopefully she'll start flowering soon :)

Day 36: I removed the wires and cut a few leafs to allow more light on the smaller branches. Day 38: she is really starting to flower now, so far so good!

Day 45: I cut a few more leafs and cut some of the small growth from the bottom branches Day 49: more pistils are showing everyday! She still has a beautiful green color so the Growcaps are still doing their job

I've been very busy the last few weeks and did not have the time to keep track of my diary. All is going well! Still no signs of any deficiencies and she's starting to fatten up nicely

I have not been able to take a lot of pictures since my phone was stolen and had to wait a while before I got a new one.. As you can see the Growcaps are not working anymore and the plant is showing different colors.. Shes almost ready as well so I hope I can finish in time before the contest ends!

This week I trimmed off some old leafs and checked the trichomes.. Mostly it's all milky and a few amber colored.. Also still a few clear trichs so I'll be waiting until the last few days of the competition before I harvest her.. She is coming along nicely and she smells very sweet when you handle her. I'm really curious about the taste since she smells so good!! The Growcaps did their work like expected! I only gave water every 2 or 3 days and only once I noticed she needed a bit more, but that was on a very hot day.. So Growcaps claim that you use 30% less water when you use their nutrients and I have to say it's true!!

Well as you can see the colors got more and more intense and about 30% of the trichomes is amber.. I chopped her at day 90! The smell is also very intense and my whole house smelled like her when I was done with trimming. I am very satisfied with the result so far, let's see what is left when it's all dry!

She was very easy to grow! Especially with the Growcaps.. I did not have to worry about a thing except for giving water every 3 days.. The top buds are very dense and sticky, the lower buds are a bit more fluffy but still very sticky! Good stuff to use for butter:) I used a cheap LED that used 147 real watts so I'm not surprised about the low weight but this was purely a test and it worked out great for me! Very satisfied about this grow.. The Buds tasted really great! Very sweet taste and insanely stinky.. Everyone could smell me coming from 50 meters away! The harvest was a little less than I hoped.. But not by much.. I am very satisfied with the end product! I smoked some of it already and gave a few people a baggie, so it's almost gone! :(
