Hope your weeks are going swimmingly, ahem... I mean well...i mean better than mine was, thats all...
So here's the story: Last Wednesday night, I setup the res and got everything ready to go on autopilot for a couple days while we went on our camping trip. Smoked a bowl and went to bed happy with all the stuff I achieved (heck, I even primed the lines with the tap at the end, making sure there was good flow through the tiny 6mm lines).
So like I said, I smoked that bowl, and then it was late so I went to bed. Got up Thursday morning and my monitor app is reporting 75% humidity - but there's no humidifier in there....uhhhhohhhhh
So I open the tent to find the ENTIRE contents of the res in the tent, on the floor.🤦 Luckily I'd only put in 5gallons (about half full) - but I learned one critical thing: 5 gallons over a 4x4 space is a little less than 1/2" deep - maybe 3/8" I guess... anyway, it was a scene, the tray in the bottom of the tent is about 3" deep, and was there, so double-edged lesson learned - always KEEP the tray in the bottom of the tent, it really will save you headaches. I mopped everything up, added it to the veggie garden outside (not going to waste all that yummy plant food), mixed up a new batch, checked all the connections and left for camping - which was a great time!
So buds, there are two biggies here to learn:
1) always check *all* of the valves before leaving the grow space
2) The floor tray in your tent is meant to be there. If you're not using it, YOU SHOULD BE, really, put it in there. It will save you headaches, stress, and damage. Always keep it in there! (Also big thanks to marshydro for their tent's floor tray *actually* being 100% waterproof.)
So, now that we're back these girls are showing their happiness with the autopots (Swipe right to see them on our return, I'll be back to more regular updates soon [and maybe some info on the 4x4 scrog screen that's going in here too 😁
@DrJones, Thanks bud! they're on averave 4" each, and there's a 2nd layer deeper in the canopy. With all the leaf strips even the popcorn appears to be SOLID chunk!
Beautiful grow every week! I’m doing my first scrog and can’t bring myself to defoliate heavily like you did a few times. Thanks for demonstrating how well they bounce back.
@@@T_Dub, thanks! Scrogging is a lot of work, defoliation isn't as necessary with less plants and more tucking - keep them tight to the screen through the first 2-3weeks from flip and more selective of tops. Mine is over full currently and there will be some significant larf or a 2nd strip and staggered finish. They will always bounce back!
