Their color isn't very uniform anymore..they don't really look distressed atm but its a funny thing.. All plants are in soilless media, equal parts perlite and all receiving the exact same nutrients/PH but each plant seems to be responding differently, this is true for both Kannabia strains ..something we'll need to keep our eye on.. THRIPS SPOTTED IN THE 4x4!!! 🐜💥 - - 🔫🐱 We top-dressed with diatomaceous earth then treated tops and underside of all leaves with insecticidal soap containing spinosad... We attributed the slow growth to using such large pots but discovered we had a thrip problem (found many adults)..we treated all tents/plants twice and applied a top dressing of diatomaceous earth. I think we officially got them all, we're hoping for some explosive growth in the coming weeks now that we've gotten some obstacles out of the way. They're eating a little with every watering and seem to tolerate this well..temps are fantastic... there's some spotting but i can't tell if this is cal def or thrip damage so we've added a little extra calmag and will keep an eye.. On top of this we realized our PH must be off, we were locking our calcium.. We flushed all plants with 3gallons each, PH'd to 6.5 with mild nitrogen solution, B complex and a little calmag in the last gallon.. Its been about 4 days since flushing and they look much healthier. We switched to water only for about 2 weeks and the girls are completely flushed out and leaves are dying back fast..buds are fairly dense and 2 have a very distinct cheese smell where the 3rd and shortest smells more earthy (a little like fresh potting soil and skunk)...I suspect the next update will be harvest and I'm really looking forward to trying this strain. If the cheese plants taste anything like they smells, they're a keeper! 😺👌... We plan on growing this strain again and have clones ready for flower soon.. We shouldn't have vegged as long as we did, it wasn't good for our PH and there was no payoff..we could of gotten the same weights with less veg, we won't be doing that again..
