looking good this week. lots of new growth and it shot up a little.
Gave it a root drench with EWC tea with fish fertilizer and a little myco. Diluted at 3:1
She seems to have responded well and I'll probably give her another drench of tea in a week or so....along with a foliar.
Did some defoliation this week and more LST. Going under SCROG net later this week.
It really blew up after getting some of the big fan leaves out of there and light and air flow was increased.
Not much new this week. She filled in some more with the LST and is looking healthy.
Gave her some light defoliation and some EWC tea this week.
She went under the scrog net today so hopefully it'll be ready to go flower in a week or so
Made the switch to 12-12 today. Screen isn't quite full but hopefully over the next couple weeks...it will fill up.
I'm leaving the MH bulb in for a week to try control stretch.
Kept tucking this week and kept the canopy fairly even. Installed an upper Scrog net with 6x6" openings for bud support. Not sure if this plant is going to be a big producer but maybe it'll suprise me as we grow.
Clipped some low lying buds that were hiding under the canopy and tried to clone them so we'll see if they take root. Also, opened up the middle for better air flow and to get light to a few shorter bud sites.
(edited to add...i messed up when starting my journal on how I did the weeks. I'm only starting week 4 of flower right now. I've been recording at the beginning of the weeks since the start)
I wasn't too happy with this week. She looks a little stunted. Maybe she'll get better down the stretch but right now she's looking like it'll be an unimpressive harvest.
I'm thinking the light was too close because the buds are a little wispy looking and a lot of yellowing leaves but only at the tops closest to light. The leaves are healthy looking...just faded from green to yellowy-green.
The light (600w HPS new bulb) was sitting about 12 inches and the heat seemed ok when I checked with my hand....but I moved it up to 16 inches now anyways.
Also, not sure if I'm feeding her enough. I don't want to over-do it tho so I'm giving her the above nutes per week...half each feeding twice a week. Then top with just ph water the other days when she needs a drink. Maybe more nutes would help her bulk a bit more on bud sites and helped with the yellowing situation.
Its a learning experience :)
Plant is chugging along. I think it will be a lot of popcorn buds but smells sweet and delicious.
Also put a heater in the tent this week to keep temps at 71 at night.
Getting close to the finish line. Started bulking up a bit this week after cutting the liquid KoolBloom and starting the Dry KoolBloom. Smell is pretty intense.
I've been fighting with daytime temps reaching up to 84 so I decided to cut my light from 600w down to 450w to see if that helps. My exhaust fan is maxed out and if I increase my intake fan...it stinks up the whole house because I lose my negative pressure in the tent.
Also put a small dehumidifier in the tent today to try help with nightime humidity reaching 50+.
This hobby is a constant learning experience but I really enjoy it!
Started backing off on nutrients a few days ago. Will move to straight water in a couple days and should be finished up.
Tried a tester of this from a bottom bud and quick dried. It was a little harsh but I'm thinking it's gonna be pretty tasty when cured.
Grew pretty good but I had a hard time keeping the nitrogen level up. Maybe I'd try feeding a little more often next time.
Edit: Dried and trimmed to 2.5oz
Flushed with FloraKleen about a week ago. And gave it plain water a couple times. Then I let the pots dry out for a couple days and chop before the lights came on this morning. Still have some other girls in the tent that aren't quite ready.
I got a decent yield of bud for one plant. Left the trim and the popcorn in a separate container so those aren't included in the weight.
It's not super wet so we'll see what the dry weight when it's ready.
All in all, this plant fought me every step of the way. No disease issues...but nitrogen issues and then I over-watered at transplant. I'm still pretty happy with how it turned out but will update when I test it out when dried.
I listed the flavors from a test bud I pulled a few weeks back.
