Begin Week 6
Day 43 - I left as "Still in Veg" because the CP and GG are not flowering yet. Although, the PLs are both in Flower. PL#1 got started first.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Day 44 - Training Day ... But No Denzel
I have to stop pruning major leaves on Critical Purple.
She should be about ready to start Flower any day now.
Because of this I want the potential flower locations to have leaf-free access to the LEDs.
Hence, Training Day.
I also have two limbs on Purple Lemonade #2 are shaded from about. On a normal plant I would have removed this node set. However, these plants have been strange from Day 1, so I have left them mostly alone.
Gorilla Glue is a dwarfy Bonsai tree. Although, it has a ton of potential flower sites.
As you will see, Purple Lemonade #1 is a flowering fool.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It's Day 45 ... just for the record, when I closed the tent on Day 44 everything seemed perfect.
But then Day 45.
First the setup:
Conditions: VPD Mostly Excellent (Fº / RH)
Media: Coco - Perlite - Vermiculite
Lighting: 42 DLI
Nutrients: Jacks 3-2-1 at 2.0 EC
Container: AutoPots / 5-gal Fabric / AirBase with natural air aerated into media with AirDome
When I opened the tent this morning, the first thing I see is Purple Lemonade #2 is not happy (photos below).
Symptoms:
Curl and Canoeing Leaves
Hyper Praying Position
Some leaves crunchy like paper
Diagnosis Actions:
Checked for soil moisture - excellent
Checked pH in AquaValve (AV) reservoir - 6.0
Checked EC in AV reservoir: WOW! It was in the low 4s EC
Checked EC & pH in other reservoirs all normal - all within decimal points of the master reservoir
Physical Actions:
Flushed the heck out of the coco with RO water
After 4 liters passed through I measured the Run Off water: 3.62 EC
After about 4 gallons passed through: EC 0.90
I stopped flushing

More Day 45
Day 45 -- Cont'd
What caused this nightmare? I realized that my lights had moved to 54 DLI somehow. I was keeping them near 40 DLI.
I say this because Purple Lemonade #1 has something going on too. It's just not as bad.
Day 45 - Cont'd -- It's Not All Bad News
The good news of the day is that Gorilla Glue has started to flower. Only one left to go is Critical Purple. CP is my best looking plant, but she ain't ready for the Big Show.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Day 46 - Just Some Flower Pics
I completely cleaned and refilled the Master Reservoir.
No more Photosynthesis Plus in there and no aminos.
Those items will be special treats for the AquaValve Reservoirs. Along with things like Recharge.
What Does Go In:
• I'm going to add Cal/Mg, because of my RO Water.
• (Two Grows in a Row I have battled the Calcium Monster.)
• Mono-Silicic Acid
• Mr. Fulvic
• SLF-100 or whatever enzyme I chose in the future.
• Orca for Microbes
I'm growing with Jack's this round, but I have a Blackstrap (Gnome Genetics x Brother Mendel collab.) in the germ tent that is going to grow up on FloraFlex. I thought I would give it a try.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Day 47 - Shifting to Flower
What That Means to Me
The PLs are in flower and have been.
Gorilla Glue is just starting to show hairs
Critical Purple is slightly less than GG
This means it's time to "shift colors" as we say in the Navy.
However, these colors are VPD related.
Now, they are on the Pulse®️ "Flowering" chart instead of Veg.
What Does this Mean:
My tent loves 75ºF, so it is best I work with whatever Relative Humidity that makes for a happy VPD.
In this case, now I am shooting for:
75ºF / 50 - 58% RH
Whereas, before in Veg the targets were:
75ºF / 64 - 68% RH
My two humifiers will be happier and more relaxed.
More Updates:
See flowering status above
PL#2 still shows massive leaf damage.
Those leave will never look better
But I hope they are still able photosyntesize (a little)
Not all leaves were damaged before I flushed.
Last night, I dumped out about 8 gallons of nutes
Cleaned and Sanitized the Master Reservoir
Started over with nutrients
Changed Tactics in what goes in the Rez
And what goes in the pot reservoirs
Tactics Change means only the following goes in the big reservoir:
Jack's 3-2-1
CaliMagic - new because of too many Calcium issues
(even w/buffered coco)
Orca for Microbes
Mono-Silic Acid
Mr. Fulvic
SLF-100 Enzymes
House & Garden Drip Clean (Line Cleaner)
Note on DripClean - Account for a little extra P & K
Microbe Lift Mosquito (Fungus Gnats) Control
What Doesn't Go In the Rez:
Anything that can stink over time now goes into the Pot's Rez after a short dry-back. Meaning, I'll make a mini-potion of things like:
Photosythesis Plus
Recharge
Amino Acids (not sure if these ever stink)
I'll probably add these on a weekly basis.
Sort of like having your bath on Saturdays!
