Week 1 - 8/1/2022 Germinated in a glass of water. After 24 hours a tail was seen and she was placed into a 4inchx4inch rock wool cube.
I wanted to test out a hydrobucket and their hydro lid. Rock wool was soaked in 6.5 ph water.
Topped her this week. Since she’s sitting in a dwc bucket, I wanted to give her roommates a chance to catch up. She’s has some burnt tips. I’m blaming it on the 6.1 ph of the nutrients. I’m batch mixing nutrients for soil, her ideal ph should be around 5.8, but 6.1 had to do.
First week I started tying down the outer main branches reducing the height to 5 inches. Light defoliation and removing of unwanted flowering sites in preparation for flower.
I’ve added a Mylar sheet I ordered off of Amazon to cover the rock wool. I just cut out the piece I needed.
Changed the reservoir for flower this week.
*Athena proline is measured in grams per gallon. The option isn’t allowed on grow diaries so I had to use an online converter for tsp to grams. *
Defoliation and readjusting of the ties seems to happen daily at this point.
In hindsight I left to many flowering sites, i was afraid I wouldn’t get a decent yield 😂. Removing more would have saved me time defoliating and readjusting the branches in the later stages.
I was surprised at how well the auto took to topping and training I’ve done so often. Really happy with the root system. Video added.
Added pictures from this week. Just waiting for the finish line at this point. Making sure the plant stays as low as she can by readjusting tie downs, and making sure everything is getting as much light as possible.
Tied her down as much as possible. Removed any leaves blocking any bud sites. I also removed most of the outside fan leaves for no other reason then they are getting too long, not keeping their hands to themselves.
I added a video of the roots this week.
Replaced the reservoir with ph water and 10 ml per gal of Athena cleanse for flushing purposes.I removed all the wires and took pictures with proper lighting before she got the chop. Added the Halloweed entry pic, hopefully she we will have some pumpkin terps. 😂
Forbidden Runtz responded well to all the training. Buds are dense, and the yield was decent. I got 4.5 ounces dry weight after trimming. I would definitely give her another go.
