Grow Questions

I am not clear when I should switch to flower nutes? Auto plants. Look amazing. Week 6. Are there specific indicators that would tell me to switch? I am doing LST and the plants do not seem to have started stretching yet. Both plants are about 5-6 in tall. Thanks!

You tend to switch to flower nutrients when the plants enter flower or start to stretch. If you plans did not stretch to much, you can tell when they are in flower by the grouping of pistils from the flowers. I would switch to flower nutrients now giving your plants are in flower. I have had some plants stretch a lot and some not a lot. Mainly because I used heavy LST and the stretch I though was normal growth. If I let them grow like normal Christmas tree style growth I can 100% see the stretch. In short, your plants are in flower now, you should be using your flower nutrients now, not all plants stretch the same, maybe they where shocked into early flower as well by something, Autos are picky buggers at times. We will not be notified of any reply in the questions part of the website, if you need to reach out with other information use your DM "direct mailbox" in the bottom right hand corner of the page. it looks like a little paper airplane icon. Best Of Luck!

I need help. Leaves are turning yellow at top of plant only. And only on American Pie. Not Northern Lights. I am using a Sonlipo SPC2500. Bloom mode. Is it possible to have lower ppfd levels and still get light burn? Thanks in advance.

i don't think that is light burn. leaves look crispy, glossy -- overfed. pH or nute lockout probably. marijuana brand nutes often instruct way too high of doses... professional Ag brands don't do that. i would suggest resetting your persepective on nutrients. Try a simple run with normal Ag products and not the overpriced marijuana branded stuff... see that the same ingredients used at lower prices will have the same effects, LOL. Like, avoid "athena" where you spend 300-400 $ for products you can get for 100... AN is even worse.. probably 5-6x more expensive with all that diluted nutrient product and its water weight... and split up into 12 products for no reason other than to bilk ppl out of their money that don't know any bettr, but will adamantly argue that it's worth it... lol.
