Acapulco Gold 2x3 grow

So I'm a bit late doing this diarie lol especially as I started this plant a little over a month ago. I honestly didn't know if I was going to keep posting on this site anymore because it's not anything like it was when I first started, but it helps to keep track of dates so here I am. So I'm FINALLY growing my first landrace strain. I had narrowed it down to 3 different strains, Acapulco Gold, Durbin posing and Maui Wowie. Then just at the beginning of September I had a company reached out to me and asked if I'd be interested in growing a strains from there partner company to possibly become one of there master growers I said sure and they sent me a list of strains. As soon as I saw Acapulco Gold at the top of the list I stopped reading lol honestly I still have no idea what other strains were on the list lol. Seeds showed up a few weeks later and I popped one 30 mins after they arrived. Within 4 days it had sprouted and started to grow (second picture). Next day I potted it in a 4.5" pot, it had a bit of slow growth after that because I had my PAR levels on my light to high (900 umols). At about day 20 I repotted it to a 1gal pot (fourth picture) and she really started to take off. By day 26 I was able to repot her into my 3.6 gal autopot system. By then the roots were already established enough that I'd be able to activate my autotpot system but alas like always..... I'm waiting for parts..... see I decided it was time to do a minor upgrade on my system. I want to be able to run all of Green Planet Nutrients line up but you can't do that with the old 6mm valve system. Cloggs up way to often and turns it into a absolute nightmare. So I ordered the new aqua5 valve that uses a 9mm line instead and is big enough to be able to use things like carbohydrates and kelp. Just waiting for it to show up now lol. I had a slight issue between day 23 and 27 where I forgot to check the Ph of my water and noticed a few issues with my plant. Turns out I had added a bit to much Ph Down and forgot to check because when I noticed the discoloration and leaf twist I checked my Ph and it was down to 5.... way to low for coco. For the set up, next to the new aqua5 valve is all basically the same. - single autopot 3.6 module with airdome - ex hale bag - Viparspectrum xs1500 - Fusion Hut 2x3x5 tent - 8" tower fan - 6" clip fan - 4" vivosun duct fan - digiton digital temperature switch - active air air pump The only things that might change is the duct fan. Thinking of switch it out for a ac Infinity fan with the temperature switch controller so I can simplify everything a bit more. Well that's all for now, happy growing everyone!!!

This plant is doing amazing. Growing fast and recovering from training fast. Topped her 3 days ago and she didn't slow down one bit. I'm thinking about another 2 weeks of veg and then I'll be switching her to flower. I'll be setting up the netting sometime in the next few days and start doing some aggressive training. So this plant had a bunch of training done this last week. First I set up the net so I could do a bit of ScrOG, then I FIMed her, did a bit of LST and then finally last night (6 days after doing the rest) I gave her a small defoliation so I could have a better look at the structure. She is growing very very nicely and hopefully I'll be able to flip her to flower in about a weeks time. Well that's all for now so happy growing!!!

Well its flip time!!!! And not a moment to soon. Started to notice a bit of issues with the plant a few days ago so I'm hoping that after I switch it that it'll slowly correct itself a bit. I tested my Ph monitor and found it was off by almost .5 and thats alot. Now that it's all fixed I'm going to give it 24 hours and then flip. Well that's all for now sobhappy growing everyone!!!

Man I have to say I am absolutely loving thos plants growth and structure so far. The canopy is almost perfect to the point I don't want to mess around with it much more. I might try to fill out the area a bit more but I'm liking where it's at so far. I have to say I'm really happy I made the switch to Viparspectra from Spider-Farmer light in this tent. The quality in the build of this xs1500 light and the results up to this point have been outstanding. A lot better then I got from the SF-2000 spider-farmer light and using 50w less. It's the reason I switch the light in my 2x4 from the SE-3000 to the XS4000 light. Definitely notice a difference with the far red 730nm diodes creating the Emerson effect. Well that's all everyone so happy growing!!!! Had a issue with my autopot system today tho. Went to the grow room and noticed that my tank twmp had jumped up to 24.8c and my Ph had dropped to 1.8..... wtf??!! Looked in my tank and my probe was no longer submerged in the water by a good few inches.... dropped it into my tank and thought it was odd because in order for that to have happened the plants would have had to drank like a good 20L of water and there's only 3 plants hooked up to this tank..... then I noticed a bit of water on the floor, but not much. Went to my 2x3 tent and there it was.... the missing 20L. Some how the float got stuck open and was slowly leaking out. But not as fast as it would if it was filling up the tray. I cleaned it all up and hopefully fixed the issue after I cleaned the float up, not that it needed it.

So busy night last night. Did a big clean up on the plant and got her ready for the coming months. Cut off all the small little branches that were nowhere near the netting, and removed all the leaves that were below it also. Cleaned up some of the leaves above the netting to remove any that were twisted up by the net or were a group of leaves were all bunched up to help increase airflow. I'm going to bump my nutrients levels up the next go around and add a few new additives because I upgraded my autopot valves to the Aquavalve5 system. Bigger lines so less chances of blockage when using things like kelp and carbohydrates. Now I'm not just going to jump in full swing with both, it'll be a slow build up because I want to make sure they don't clog lol. Well that's all for now so happy growing everyone!!!

Plant is growing great. The plants height growth has slowed down a bit and you can see it's started to push all its energy into the buds. Hopefully about another week of growing and then it'll shift all its energy to the buds. Liking the fact I can use the liquid weight and massive bloom products now thanks to the Aquavalve5 units. Can't wait to see the results Well happy growing everyone!!!

At the start of this week I started to notice a few things that had me scratching my head. I bit of a twist is the leaves as well as a bit of yellowing in some of the leaves on the underside of the plant. I hand feed it so I could test the run off and it was coming out perfect. So this week I adjusted my nutrients to increase it a bit to see if that helps. Next to that the plant is looking great. And with another 6 to 7 weeks to go it should be able to develop some nice nice nugs. Well that's all so happy growing everyone!!!

So at the start of the week I flushed the plant to try and see if maybe there was some nutrients lock or something with the plant. It's bee a bit off since week 2 of flower with a bit of yellowing in the leaves and some slight twisting. After doing so I slowly noticed a difference in the leaves after a few days. Still have another 5 weeks to go before the plants are done but the hairs are already changing color. I've noticed a few times that when this happens it can be from the plant being polonated or from turning into a hermaphrodite..... I really hope that's not the case with this plant. I've looked and have seen no signs of harming or seeding. So fingers crossed its just a early bloomer or something. Well that's all for now so happy growing everyone!!!!

Oh man is this plant starring to produce a lovely aroma that is very pungent and pine like. I still have a few weeks to go before harvest but the fact the hairs have already changed to a burnt orange look has me a bit worried that she herm on me. Buds also haven't really plumped up much in the last two weeks. My guess is that I'll get roughly 100g from this plant when she gets harvested. I'm 50% excited and 50% worried at this point. So ive noticed that the buds have stopped growing and most of the hairs have changed color. I'm think that she is getting really close to being done. I've misplaced my scope so I can't check them, going to have to order a new one then. I have a feeling this yeild is going to be around 130- 140g area. I'm very excited to try out the smoke itself. I'm hoping it finishes closer to the 10 week mark and so far it's looking like it's going to be close. Well that's all for now so happy growing everyone!!!

Well this was the last week before I started my two weeks of flushing. I've got a fair amount of amber trenchomes so far so by the time I'm done flushing the plant should be rite where I like it. I've got my fingers crossed that I didn't have the plant herm on me like one of my other ones did. I lost power twice during the peck cold season and my tent got as cold as 6c both times. Luckily tho it wasn't from something I couldn't fix (dehumidifier and space heater on the same braker by mistake) and only half the room lost power, my 2x4 tent kept running strong amd kept the room from dropping below zero. So I was looking to do a full 2 week flush on this plant. But im now 8 days in and the vast majority of the trenchomes are amber. Honestly surprised by this a bit. Acapulco Gold is, to my understanding a 70 - 80 day strain and im only on day 63. So I figured I'd have atleast another week before she was completely done, oh well tho it is what it is. I'm going to give her 2 more days and then chop her down. Been a fun grow. Well that's all so happy growing everyone!!!

I was only able to flush for 10 days, I usually like to go a full 2 weeks (14 days) but the trenchomes were at 80% amber and thats a bit higher then I usually let them get. The smell from the plant is amazing and I'm sure it's going to be amazing smoke!!!
