Day 35 for the OG Kush and the untrained plant is really stretching the OG Kush that got LST is also growing but the stretch seems to be across the canopy of the plant. The Gorilla Zkittlez are at day 21 and thriving. Watering to saturation every three days. No nutrients have been added. I’m going to gently work in some Fox Farms Strawberry Fields to the top of the pots.

How advisable is it to run 24 hour light cycle? I’m interested because I live in the north and we’re getting to winter. The light divers provide some heat. They’re autoflower OG Kush.

20/4 is max. I do that in my autoflower room. The equipment needs a break. Plus plants need some rest. I run mine over night to battle cooler temps from outside.

Those advocating LST for autoflowers promise increased yields. Is there evidence to support this? Other than flattening the canopy, which helps in limited spaces, is there a scientific reason why training increases yield?

probably not, but it might change proportions of varying quality of buds. you may get less yield but more quality buds and less larfy stuff. Auto is on a timer, so anything cut off (like something facing/toucing dirt after lst) was wasted time for the plant that it'll never get back. or more easily understood as resources expended that result in nothing and no ability to add vege time to make up for that loss. i don't believe anyone has properly assessed this... and there's way too many variables involved to trust anecdotes of tiny samples and drastically different set of variables in any one context that make an apples to apples comparison impossible.

In week 6, I’m growing autos in Fox Farms Ocean Forest. I’m going to gently work in some Fox Farms Strawberry Fields as the plants begin to flower. What is the best approach to adding additional nutrients at this point? Especially to support flower.

FFOF soil is a hot soil and can burn some autos. If you wanted to you could top dress with it to add in more nutrition to the plants. One thing about autos is they dislike strong feeds and can be really picky when there rootzone is not ideal. If you plan on feeding them with some extra nutrition I would suggest following a plan with structured EC levels to follow to avoid triggering the plant. I like this site a lot for a basic guide and simple to follow chart. Its not perfect and not set in stone but should help you out a bit. https://www.autoflower.net/forums/threads/med-man-method-feeding-chart-ppm-ec.47856/ Soil based grows also hold onto the nutrition more then a soilless grow. So less is really more in this case. Take it slow and let the plant tell you when its good. This is all assuming you will be feeding a liquid fertilizer vs dry amendments. If they are amendments I'd mix them into the top soil at 1/2-1/3 recommended strength and with some extra bacteria/myco. Good Luck!

The ph run off of my plants has been consistently low, ranging from 5.5 to 6.0. Should I be concerned? The soil is Fox Farms Ocean Forest. The plants are OG Kush and Gorilla Zkittlez Autoflower. I’m feeding them straight tap water with a ph of 7.5-8.0.

If you're only feeding them straight tap water, I wouldn't be concerned at all. If, as m0use rightly suggests, the pH is consistently falling, it USUALLY means the EC is too high and you'd need to back off on your nutrients... but if you're not giving them any nutes, there's nothing to back off from! If you're still feeding them (and why wouldn't you be?) the trio, I would suggest backing off the Grow by half... plants, in flower, don't need as much nitrogen as the Grow is giving them and this may be leading to a lockout of other nutes which your runoff pH is trying to tell you. But for me, if the plants are looking healthy (and they are), there's nothing to worry about... Good luck!

My OG Kush Autoflower are almost ripe and ready for harvest. There are lower buds that are not ripe and ready. Should I harvest the flowers individually, as they ripen, or wait until the whole plant can be harvested?

It’s mainly CBN btw CBG is the mother cannabinoid to all the others.. rare to find any in a mature plant unless it’s been bred that way. CBG turns to all the other cannabinoids as flower initiates

This is very subjective, most will elect to chop the whole plant where some will chop what has ripened more and leave the rest to finish off some more, up to you. And how consistent you want your bud to be. Some more CBG(couch lock) leaning flower or a mix.

I have 3 Gorilla Zkittlez at day 95. One is ready to chop, the other two are not quite there. I’m going on vacation for 7 days. Question: chop them early or let them remain unattended for a week? I usually water every 3-4 days, the plants haven’t gone 7 days without water. WYD?

Simple. Let them dry out under natural light in a room where sun light comes in Make sure they well a truly flushed. Or you could leave them under lights on timers say 12 hrs a and make sure they truly soaked.. this should finish them off. Turn your light down by 50..as you'll be in the ripening stage. If they 7 days out, or 3 just set your timer accordingly. Some ppl might not like the thought of electricity on. But, in a daylight room should help dry them out. Doing the same thing in the tent with less affect and i have even fully let my plants dry out and harvest by just pulling from the soil roots and all. And it makes for the best tasting weed. Once you have any Synthetic nutrients out of that pot. So hard flush and one of those methods should work. Good luck.

Hey dude, she definitely needs a transplant. Get her into her final home asap! Also, every other day is too much water. They don’t need much at this point, make sure the container dries out between waterings. Good luck dude!

@TheProfessorGrows, hi and thank you. I definitely have been trying to go easy on the watering, I’ll back off more. And going to transplant today, thanks again
