Welcome to my Alien Moonrocks diary from original sensible seed company. Much appreciated for allowing me to try these new strains Details about strain are on 1st week. (Brief) 30% THC 80/20 Indica/Sativa. Veg Day 2. Total 9.5 days. Growing is going really well. Rapid growth the last 2 days. She's just left the seedling stage and will soon be uppoted to an 11L for her veg and will be put under my sp3000 at 30 for 3 weeks and then up to 60 for the rest of her veg and then moved to an 18L pot (same substrate mix) mostly coco as the light mix soil is more or less coco but has the benefits of holding nutrients for days, so doesn't need reg feeds like coco but still getting the same benefits. Ph would be the same as if you were using 100% coco. But, you can also come out of that range without finding yourself in too much trouble. Id always use some soil in my grows. I just don't have the time to be feeding nutrients everyday. VEG DAYS 9-14 Doing really well. Having been feeding everyday. But, as she's mainly 70% coco and then light mix every 2 days I've been feeding lightly with everything I have listed. I've added some Terra Power Base Nutrients.. she got a great jump start from the Enzymes. So, she's been on feed since D6 or so. Make a little later actually. Just a light 440ppm mix. Kept her on the same enzymes from last week right up until day 19 and then took away Fire Yields and added La Calvera. Keeping the PPM in a 450-550 range and PH is kept in the 6.0-2 range. Growth has been slow. But, now that I've taken down my last crop I've been able to up the RH to 70 from 55-60%. So, expecting big things this week. Also gave her a calcium and Epsom Salt feed brought my 110ppm tap up to 250 ppm with calcium from Green House Feeding and some Epsom salts from chemist. (If getting Epsom make sure you don't get perfumed version) All plants have been moved to their new home and under my SP 3000 and will watch her closely. I'm expecting to do a 7-8wk veg time. Welcome to my Alien Moonrocks Diary, sponsored by Original Sensible Seeds. VEG DAY(S) 22-28 Growth has finally picked up the last week. Been keeping her on a low dose of feed. She gets fed every 2nd day and as she starts to drink her whole pot full I'm sure I'll have to feed or thereabouts everyday. But, we aren't there yet. So, keeping it light. On Day 25 noticed some dark shading in between the vains, so I'm guessing it's down to lack of Mag. So, I adjusted the cal/Epsom salt feeds i give to 320-350 from 200-250. Seems to have good root growth as I can see the roots coming out from holes underneath the pot. Topped above the 5th set of nodes. Light is set to 33%. Using around 100watts I gather. Am going to be changing nutrients up this week and will keep her on veg for a min of 6-8 weeks. So should make for more leaf growth and in turn give off more flower locations. Am introducing the IR/UV45 light to this tent this week. So all plants not ready will be taken out for the 60mins Looking really healthy and took to LST really well. Welcome to my Alien Moonrocks Diary. Have to say, out of all 3 plants from original sensible seeds. They have been the biggest, easiest plants I've ever grown. They don't demand much in the way of nutrients are really great growers. The stems that come off from the nodes are huge. And have nice flower points that will no doubt make for some great harvests. (Touch bud). This lady has been ran off Terra Power and has loved the enzymes. The roots are practically coming out of all drainage holes at the end of the pot. The silca has really taken affect too make for really strong leafs and nodes that responsed really well to late LST. In her 1st week of pre flower she grew 13cm. I've been using my far red IR 730nm to increase the lighting time the plant is under and the change has been so rapid. Usually what takes the other females I grew, takes a week before I'd see pistils. Within 2 days I've seen pistils and well has came together really well. All her flower sites on top & below they are all showing signs of sex and throwing it pistils.. can't wait to see her in a few weeks to see her true pedigree. I'm nearly sure she's out of pre flower the growing has slowed a ton. Coming into the next stage of defoliation for the plan for nice long colas. Welcome to my Alien Moonrocks Diary sponsored by Original Sensible Seeds. Flower Days 78-84 She had a good week. Nice growth. She has left pre flower and has entered the fattening stage. Her colas got stretched too much to have full length bud laden colas. Was still learning about my IR and a few of my girls took an unwanted stretch due to me having the iR on with my legs on. Day 84: Done her last defoliation of her entire flowering stage. Maybe on the last wk I'll open her up again and just run her under a low ppfd and 3-6hrs of UV for the last week, (ripening) i just need to look into it more, as it might do more harm than good. Currently I've upped the UV time from 2x 1hr sessions to 2 x 2hr sessions. Also I've upped the flowering time by using my IR from 13.5hrs to 14hrs for fattening. For ripening I'll switch it back to 12/12 and focus more heavier on UV and resting. Will lower light to 75%. And push more UV. (If anyone thinks different, your thoughts are more than welcome)??? But the stretching due to keeping IR on to long with lights on. And made the plant(s) thought it was been shaded out. So, they took a stretch. But, she's back up and doing well. Some nice buds, "not colas", lesson learnt. Will be much better on the next round. Have cut it back to 12-12 but still using the IR to put her to sleep. Welcome to my Alien Moonrocks Diary, sponsored by Original Sensible Seeds. Days 83-93 Grew well. Lots & lots of bud. Will be my biggest harvest I reckon. Smells of sweetness and and deep dank musk smell. Buds are far apart but of good quality. She's long and a hungry girl. I left her on water just for the week. Lots of the leafs started showing signs of hunger, but she evened out. Got no mad fade. I removed all of the fan leafs, so maybe there would of been some. Am gonna do my favourite drying method. Gonna push her just before the point of showing signs of stress for water. And then I'll chop her on the stem. Plan on a quick 5 day dry. As my temp is not great. So, a quick dry this way, will give a much better result than a quick dry by heat and losing lots of her potency. Thanks to my sponsors from Original Sensible Seeds for these beans. Grewc like a champ. 90cm tall. Fat and freaky. Had a few little fits. Little nute burn. Looks worse than it was. As the end product is 1st class. Will for sure be dropping another one off these come September. Just you wait your gonna get a 10 next time. I know the potential is there.
