This is my first grow, I put the seeds in the dwc yesterday, waiting for it to germinate. Will put up pictures soon. I'm having a little ph problems I think apple cider vinegar ought to do the job!!! The seeds have germinated lets see how the rest of the grow goes!
I think my ph pen is broken the ph was well about 5.4-6.6 and today suddenly its showing 8.5 but the plant looks good its small and growing looks so beautiful lets see how shes gonna do, this was my first grow and I bought the seeds from @dinafem out of the three I planted two and kept one for a failsafe, so both the seeds germinated in my dwc they are growing they are in their very early stages now check out my pictures!!!! Wish me luck guys!!!!
I'm increasing the nutrients lets see how they respond, the growth has been slow the last 2 weeks. Rest everything looks good why don't you guys let me know . I was wondering for how many weeks do in need to veg?
you ve given the answer by yourself...... A week is missing in my diary as I didn’t top the solution cause of problems with the setup as one of the AK’s died due to a bug eating it,, so I sealed the room and the growth is A bit slow let’s see how Thisbe week goes. goes
i deleted a week as i changed my reservoir to a larger one 20liters, also had a lot of problems with the rock wool and leca so im changing to cocopeat and perlite, she seems to be responding well. There are red spots on the leaf, im thinking its because of less nutrients or nitrogen deficiency please do make suggestions!,
its looking good the stem is growing strong, its finally picking up its time to see hee potential. there are a little spots on the plants and the tios still cant figure out would help if you guyys have any suggestions !
I TOPPED HER GOT TWO NEW NODES GROWING BESIDE THE CUT, THIS PLANT REALLY HOLDS A LOT OF WATER. I CUT OFF SOME OF THE ROOTS AFFECTED BY ROOT ROT , BUT IT STILL LOOKS BROWN MAYBE ITS BECAUSE OF THE FUNGI IN THE NUTRIENTS. THE GROWTH IS EXPONENTIAL LETS HOPE FOR THE BEST!!!!!
Its responding well to the topping of the top of the plant , i was think of getting a few clones from the plants lower stems or maybe i'll wait for a while . Can anyone suggest when can i start the defoliation ?
Well shes becoming bushier after the topping i think it took well to it. I'm using some revive to cure the affected parts of the plant leaves. The roots look awesome white and crispy its been three weeks now and haven't changed the reservoir lets see how the coming weeks go cheers!!!
this weeks really hassle free its growing, i wonder if i should defoliate the lower leaves or a week before flowering? cant wait for it to start making buds. Need to control the humidity and other factors for faster growth!
did some defoliation this week, i vegged her for too long and now its in, flower smells a lot now like garlic and lime really happy with her now , was using tap water before now switched to ro filtered with mineral delivery system
i couldn't manage the time as the holidays were on a full swing, i skipped two weeks but i have the photos and nute calculations so no problems. The trichromes seem to be popping out you'll see it in the next week! which i'll upload in a while but rest assured the grow is going amazingly there were a lot of ups and downs got a lot to learn these past few months!!!!!
i think the flowers are popping out lets see how much it yields, the roots are doing amazing. Is it okay to defoliate the lower leaves at this stage? please advise guys, cant wait for my first harvest ever !!!!!
there are visible changes everyday its growing really fast, i hope i get to harvest it soon the buds are not all that fat as of yet lets see after a few weeks. Im planning on putting a scrog net so that the plant doesnt falll on its stems weight.
the leaves are burning up, the pistils and trichomes are turning brown and i suppose i'll harvest it in 2 weeks tops !!! lets see wjhat it has in store for us ?!
Haven't smoked it yet, flushed the solution for a week, this was my first diary so put very little effort. Next time i'll furnish more details about the grow.
It was a fairly easy grow the yield however was very less but the smokes good !!!! hope to grow more this year. Need to invest on a chiller or try soil or coco coir next
Are you testing the ph in the bucket? So if that is off, then just adjust it to 5.8 or whatever. Your ph in the bucket is going to change, all by itself, over time, so you have to keep checking it, and adjusting it up/down.
Leave everything as you have it. See the dark spot in the roots? That’s root rot. Your new roots look great so keep doing what you have done and she will be good in about 2 weeks. Well unless you let the roots get above 70F
@Wolfheim, 2 weeks is ok. The only reason I asked about cleaning the bucket is because I pump so I don’t clean my bucket’s until the end of the grow. I use a RO water flush every 3-4 weeks to dilute/remove the nutrients that have accumulated in the tank. Before I started using the flush I had major problems and it took a while to figure out that it was because I wasn’t cleaning my tanks at every water change.
@Wolfheim, yes and slimey mushy. Tan crisp clean roots are not root rot just stained from the organics in Advanced Nutrients.
When you do a water change do you remove the buckets and rinse them?
Which is correct 0.2EC or the nutrient list? If 0.2 is correct that’s the problem. If the nutrient list is right it looks good. I also see that your roots are just now getting to the water line, by now that thing should have a good mass of roots. I think maybe the top feed has been to far from the plant?
@Tazard, that shes doing also i changed to a bigger reservoir and changed the substrate to coco peat and perlite whereas the entire system is in a hydroponic medium
@Wolfheim, bigger air stones won't bring down the temps so much as they will put more oxygen into the water which will make it easier for plant to absorb nutrients and harder for pythium to form/grow.
@BeefWellingtons, the ph went around 8!! had to change the nutrient solution. i'm never gonna use tap water again its the worst !!! the advanced nutrients works best with ro water I guess as its automatically balancing the ph
@Wolfheim, Yes, keep your nutrients in a cool dry place and use room temp or cool water. More importantly, you should try to lower the substrate (water in your basin) down to like 70f if you can. Warm temps can promote root rot. More or bigger air stones will help, but you really need to bring down the substrate temp. Also, I would dial back the nutrients to 1/4th amount during seedling stages, and see if you can reduce humidity too. Check out that link someone posted for grow weed easy, Good luck!
@dzigi24, What would you recommended? im open to suggestions as its my first grow dont want anything to go wrong, i checked the roots they are white and growing fast !

Brown roots are from the organics in Advanced Nutrients products.
I found a great chart for EC value. It looks complicated but it’s easy, I posted it on my Dinamed CBD Plus week 12 photos it’s a great resource take a look.
Check your solution temperature. It should be 58-68. 62F is the best for the combination of dissolved oxygen and growth rate. Water below 71 will prevent pythium growth.
