Video, you can observe how to sanitize the seeds, those tails took about 18 hours out of the box. The soil temp was kept cozy around 80, and 85, and humidity at 70. As soon as I see green leaves the humidity must drop keeping humidity high will only choke out what little lungs the plant now has. Coconut water is nature's very own amniotic fluid with essential amino acids and enzymes. Nature knows best. Adding 2 drops of h2o2 (hydrogen peroxide) and placing floral foam allows airflow whilst keeping light out. The h2o2 rapidly decays into h2o, leaving the other o suspended as bubbles in the container. All the oxygen the seedling could ever need. Oxygen is often the limiting factor in germination failure when too much moisture can limit or stop oxygen from reaching seeds. Oxygen is important for root growth, but airflow is essential to provide a steady supply of co2 for the plant's photosynthesis process, when we talk about RH% if it's 70% it means only 30% of the air is everything else. Regular air we breathe outside only has 0.04% co2 the plants need this scarce resource. If we drop the humidity to 40-50% you will allow more airspace for all the other stuff! Much rather feed 60% of 0.04% than 30% of 0.04%. Never underestimate the importance of the supply of good fresh airflow as soon as the seedling has its first set, all 9 cardinal rules of growth must run in harmony limit any one of the 9, and limit the whole process. We have tuned the system exactly in order to turn it quantum critical.” By tuning the system and artificially introducing more quantum uncertainty the researchers observed that the chain of atoms acts like a nanoscale guitar string. Dr. Radu Coldea from Oxford University, who is the principal author of the paper and drove the international project from its inception a decade ago until the present, explains: “Here the tension comes from the interaction between spins causing them to magnetically resonate. For these interactions, we found a series (scale) of resonant notes: The first two notes show a perfect relationship with each other. Their frequencies (pitch) are in the ratio of 1.618…, which is the golden ratio famous from art and architecture.” Radu Coldea is convinced that this is no coincidence. “It reflects a beautiful property of the quantum system — a hidden symmetry. Actually, quite a special one called E8 by mathematicians, and this is its first observation in a material,” he explains.” The E8 structure itself has relationships to Phi (1.618).

If you are interested in the plant's circadian clock, then check out Far-Red photons: "The R:FR ratio of direct sunlight is about 1[.]5 during most of the day, but it approaches 0[.]6 or so during twilight when the atmosphere preferentially scatters blue light and the sky turns yellow and red. This only lasts for half an hour or less, but it is important because plants use these changes to synchronize their internal circadian clocks both with the24 hour day and the seasons. This involves a burst of gene expression activity that is controlled by phytochrome.”

@Ultraviolet, Sometimes I forgot to plan out the best photoperiod schedule and suddenly find myself dramatically shifting the timer once flowering begins. I wonder if hitting them with sunrise/sunset R:FR would alleviate any circadian confusion.

@Natrona, this was my 2 year old dragon willow bonsai, I placed it outside a few weeks back on a sunny day, forgot and it got smoked in a snow storm, thought I'd lost it. Plonked in a copper rod and she came back to life, frankentree.

@Metatronix, Well that's optimistic :)! Every little helps. I found with such a big pot it would allow for unrestricted growth of rootzone, but the water was sitting deep in medium and with the pot taking up so much space it was very hard to keep the medium warm & with very little air getting to where the roots needed it. Prime breeding ground for some bacteria & fungi. Always been fond of the idea of automating a grow tent for the entire grow, start to finish, the challenge with auto watering was over-watering, this could also dry the medium enough within a timeframe to prevent the conditions for the bacteria n fungi in the first place. Originally had some ideas for regular-size pots with airstones but then I got stoned and bought a 100-gallon fabric and here we are.
