As of the morning of April 29th, the plants have received their first watering/feeding. I was gifted some sample packs of Elite nutrients by one of the owners of my local hydro store and will see how they do. The water used was rain water that was collected and filtered from the storms of the last couple days.
As of the evening of April 30th, I watered plants in the late afternoon with plain water ph'ed to 6.3. The plants range in size between 1.75” tall (Industrial Plant Autoflowering CBD by Dinafem) to 2.5” tall (Seedsman White Widow Auto). I misread my feeding numbers I had written down when trying to convert ml to tsp and accidentally gave too much to them on the first feed! They look healthy but today I gave them regular water just to be safe. I decided to move the lights from 18” away to 26” away. The temperature in the tent is staying around 73F and the humidity is staying around 40%.
As of the afternoon of May 3rd, I added a pot of water to try and bump the humidity levels in the tent up a little bit to something more consistent. I've been having humidity in the tent fluctuate between 27%-41% throughout the past few days and I don't know if I should be concerned?
As of the evening of May 4th, Industrial Plant is on Day 13 and all other plants are on Day 12. Mephisto Genetics Ripley's OG is 2.5” tall, Seedsman White Widow is 2.5” tall, Dinafem Critical Jack is 2.25” tall, and Dinafem Industrial Plant CBD is 2.25” tall. The stems on all 4 plants have definitely gotten thicker and the leaf growth is really taking off! They'll probably need their next water & feed here in a couple of days at the beginning of Week 3.
As of the evening of May 5th, both the Marshydro Mars II 1200 and the ViparSpectra Reflector Series 600 LED lights are running in the tent; with a combined true wattage of approximately 790 watts. A new hygrometer was purchased because my old one died. I went ahead and updated the new temperature and humidity readings in the tent.
I'll have to concur with several other posts here. Your diary is quite detailed, I like it a lot. Can't wait for this bad girl to be up for the monthly voting 😉
@DabCrab I think it was a combination of factors. The first being that about 10 days ago, my area was going through random power outages for 2-3 days. There were some extended periods of darkness which caused temp to go down and humidity to go up. I was also skimping on airflow. All I had for airflow before I noticed the rot was a small clip fan up near the top of my tent and my fan for my carbon filter on low. The 3rd factor was the main cola and that side branch nug being CHUNKY. It was so fat and just kept stacking more bud. Apparently that coupled with the other factors make for perfect conditions for mold. I turned my carbon filter fan up to medium-high and added a 18" oscillating fan on medium. That seems to be holding humidity at 43-53% and temperature at 68F-78F. Next time around I am going to leave my lights on 24/7 because that will keep the conditions more favorable and stable.
Nice 1 mate was checking your grow I thought mine we're behind in there growth but mine are at the same stage yours was at week 5 my tallest plant is 22inches but there weird these auto have got one that's grown like a indica but leaves look sativa and look like a completely different plant then what it is compared to other Ines have got growing yours look really health they look nice happy growing pal
@SsS_SsS good eye! i checked it out and sure enough, the main cola had mold all inside the lower half of the bud. after i finished inspecting the plant i found more mold on a larger side cola. i cut out all of the infected areas and added an oscillating fan to my tent to try and increase the air circulation. My heart sank cutting off that fat main cola but it was for the best. I definitely will have to invest in some temperature/humidity control stuff for my next grow; that seems to be my biggest enemy in the space I have.
@420_liquidsun Thanks! I know I am always looking for as many details as possible when I look at what other people are doing so I try to jot down what I can remember.
Tight I'm not the only one running the Widow and Ripley from the Seedsman bundle! I'm amazed at how much better the freebies did than the Fastbuds genetics I actually paid for lol
@TheLastDaburai, Hah, thanks! Yup I definitely couldn't resist those free Ripley's OG beans on Seedsman. I've heard mixed results about freebie, bank-brand, autos from these various seedbanks. This being my first grow and all, I figured I'd try out their White Widow since that strain has never let me down before. It's a little fussy when it comes to its nutrients but I can't complain about much else at this stage. I really wanted to do an OG grow since I have PTSD and I have found OG strains to be a nice balance of what I need medicine-wise throughout my day. Therefore, I couldn't resist the Ripley's OG freebies! I have never run any FastBuds before. From what little I've read about them, it seems to be the flip of a coin with regards to success.
@CBD_Sweden Thanks. I will also be curious to see the dry weight of IPACBD when she's all done because she has huge, thick buds that just keep getting fatter instead of ripening (not complaining). She is my favorite smelling plant in my tent, that's for sure!
Looks good man. Found this diary because I've got an industrial plant that has just popped. Be interested to see if I have any similar problems. Yours is the only diary for this strain.
lovely harvests u got there man! 30l potz💪 for great yieldz i would say im tryin a green crack in a 15l now cuz the berry ryder of last was a bit too big for continuous repetition... keep your thing👌
