And so the journey continues… Not a lot to report (not always a bad thing). Aside from the water/stump tea on day four, it’s been pretty much hands off. Day eight and the soil still has plenty of moisture. Temp and rh holding fairly steady at 77 an 55 respectively. The Happy Frog soil seems to have enough added nutes to keep the girls, well…Happy! I’m going to start experimenting with soil for the transplant (probably about 10 days away). Probably Happy Frog mixed with a more neutral, better draining soil. I want to start out with something that requires water/nutes every fourth day or so initially. As the plant matures it’ll go to every third day then as we hit late flower probably every other day. I’m staying away from Ocean Forest…the combination of Mephisto Genetics and hot soil scares me. Besides, all that ocean goodness that’s in the OF can be added later in the form of other FoxFarms nutes such as “Kelp Me,Kelp You” and “Wholly Mackerel”. Maybe not quite the same…we’ll see. As always, feedback greatly appreciated.
Day 10 - gave the girls there first taste of nutrients…very mild….
.6 ec. @ 6.5 ph
Day 11 - Responded really well to their first taste of nutes. No signs of toxicity or deficiency. The girls look ready for takeoff!!
Day 14 - Moved the girls into their forever home. Five gallon mesh grow bags from Rain Science. Initial runoff - 1300 ppm. Lights set up at a distance that provides 22,000 lux (about 30”).
