Zkittles defo hit stretch this week and started showing more bud sites, smoothie has been as straight forward as always ,.. everything looks good to me, defoliating zkittles is crazy, the rate the leaves grow back I've never seen anything like it but hopefully now will start putting the effort into the bud sites,... roll on next week π
Any input people would appreciated,.. not sure why zkittles looks behind the smoothie I know they have slightly different grow times but I expected zkittles to be more into flower now than she is but may just be me... π€
Why are you worried?
Different strains, different flowering times.
Heavy defoliation can delay/slow flowering too.
Stick with photoperiod plants would be my advice, autos are not all they are made out to be and in my experience, offer no advantages over what can already be achieved with photoperiod plants..........unless you can not figure out how adjust timers!
Just from what I've seen on other zkittles diarys they seem to be abit further along at this point than my one that's all ... I have grown normal photoperiod plants before,.. main reason for trying autos is the time difference that's all, thanks for reply π
Thanks for the reply ,.. I have been taking fan leaves off and I've never seen anything like this zkittles to be honest the rate the grow back is crazy... thanks again for reply.
Hi, I have just uploaded a new video to this week, I did a leaf defoliating last night just uncover some of the bud sites and this is how the smoothie looks this morning,... any idea how I can bring her back, not sure what to do or if anything,... thanks people.
When the whole leaf is curled it means youβve been overwatering or letting roots sit in water too long. Nitrogen toxicity tends to only curl the tips and leaves will be very dark.
Cheers everyone honestly appreciate it all,.. I've tested ph of soil that was fine, I've flushed the smoothie with water about 4.5litres till it started running clearer and I've made sure the fans not hitting it directly,... should of covered All angles so hopefully should see her bounce back, thanks again to everyone ππ
Hi guys, me again π€¦ββοΈ lol,.. everything's looking OK, just wondering if this is a deficiency of some kind,.. I added calmag to this coming week's feed just incase it was that,.. any ideas always appreciated, thanks people π
I've added a couple photos to this question.
Dude you're not looked out at all, you showed no signs for all this time and likely didn't change much from the routine so I highly doubt it's lockout, you're coming up and the finish line they're going to start drawing the last bit of nutrients they can from the ends of your leaves all 100% natural, don't add anything or change your routine, stop feeding period and start flushing with ph water, wait chop, dry and enjoy....They're 100% ok
As you're nearing the end. And entering the ripening phase. Maybe just dump 5-10L of water and she should unlock herself depending on your feeds from the past and ever enter ripening stage.
But, drop your grow that's for 1 thing.
As its defo not needed at this stage.
Okay. I've seen what you're using.
Way to many cooks in the kitchen pal.
She has very green leafs. Meaning she has N tox and more than likely got locked out.
Also cut back on the feeding. Water/ferts.
Your roots are finding it hard to breath. Hence the tips. So she's just drinking water basically.
I've gotten this from having to feed from the bottom with just water when trying to rid myself of gnats. Too much water. And, as she's locked out that's all she's drinking.
Cut back on what you're using. Or split them up. But defo drop the ml/l. All you need is 5-700ppm, max 2 feeds a week with soil following up with water or a very low cal or mag feed in between.
Try keep your PH water/ferts the same or as near as you can.
But I'd hard flush that. As she's an auto. U don't have the luxury of long flowering times to soft flush.
3x the value of your pot so if 5l 15L of water for a hard flush. Or you can 2x it and wait to see does she unlock herself and start eating again and then after a week start on nutrients again. If you do hard flush. Wait at least 3 days. And then apply a very low dose as I said 5-700ppm a week, 2 feeds with water in between to help break down any leftover residues..ie ph makers, nutrients that weren't used up.
Good Growing
@Pinky_andthe_Brain, just 2 mate, 1 smoothie at the back and 1 zkittlez at the front, they have taken over the space tbh, I used tie down and a scrog to make them grow wider though because you do run out of head room π
@Pinky_andthe_Brain, it's only 2ft by 2ft and 4ft tall,.. I'm really not sure tbh I'm hoping for 5oz of the 2 plants just going from what I've seen of these strains but hopefully be a surprise at the end and get a bit more but honestly could end up less , first run on autos so will know more at the end really mate,.. Good luck though with whatever you do
