- Removed LOWER growth tips from last topping. Should have done when topped because the plant spent a week developing stems I was going to remove anyway. ;-}
- Raised Fertigation volume to
- #1: 240/fertigation, 960 ml/day
- #10: 260
- Light Intensity: [ 677, µmol/s2/m2]
- Refilled Reservoir, 3 Gal Hydro Chart @ EC: 2.0
I’m NOT using the runoff scales for my GrowTek - I increase Fertigation AMOUNT by ~10% when there is NO runoff. I’m not going for 5, 10, or 20% runoff - just enough to know it’s effectively moving down the pot. So far - this has been a stress reducing technique! After Flip - I’ll try increasing from 4 fertigations/day to 6. When increasing frequency, I KEEP THE TOTAL PER DAY the equivalent, meaning each fertigation event is reduced to achieve the same daily target. The objective is to reduce swings in EC as the pot dries down. Because increasing frequency of fertigation generally increases moisture at the TOP of the pot - need to assure we’re not creating a Fungus Gnat resort on the soil (coco) surface. I maintain a layer of plays and, ~1/4” deep or so, to reduce the opportunity for Fungus Gnat explosion. Fortunately this grow - have seen NO fungus gnats, other than a single flyer at the beginning. I’ve applied Dr. Zymes twice, early - haven’t seem a fungus gnat since.

⁃ Just hanging out . . . took today’s pictures
⁃ NOTES:
⁃ As the calyces swell, the associated leaflets separate vertically as the swell elongates the space occupied by flowers. The leaves seem to separate and cup to make space. Said differently, it’s as if the flowers were elongating and the leaves are accommodating to make space.
⁃ How’s that for a qualitative statement? ;-)
⁃ Reduced light dimmer to ~85%
⁃ Tent running over 79F

0700 (PRELIGHT) Harvest
- [ ] Remove Light Bar
- [ ] Adjust hangers horizontal and install hanging rod
Harvest
- As the stems are FIRM and FAT, We’ll cut PAIRS of Colas from the penultimate topping. Should be 14 Colas in all. (Removed cola in the middle of the balance, on each plant). We should be able to get better separation and airflow for dry.
- [x] Chop #2, flip, hang on bamboo
- [x] Trim
- [x] Non-Trich Fans
- [x] Chop #1, flip, hang on bamboo
Environment Targets
RH
- RH: Initial: 68%
- RH: Monday: 65%
- RH: Wednesday: 60%
Temp
- 68 - 74 F*
Airflow
- 2 Tent Fans moving air above canopy
- 2 Fans moving air through plants - GENTLY (Setting 3 facing harvest)
We recognizes that we’ll never get to 60 °F - we’ll work with what we have . . .
Fluid bled UP from the cut meristems. It has precisely ZERO taste.
Cleaned up the fans I could - need to separate a couple more colas before I’m happy they’ll have sufficient airflow . . .
