Put the seed in a glass of water and it germinated pretty quick. I checked it about 36 hours later and was ready to be planted directly into a 3 gallon fabric pot with Happy Frog soil as the medium. It sprouted on 12-29-22.
This is the second week of vegetation. Everything seems to be going just fine. I cut off the first set of nodes and i usually cut the second set as well. I like doing this because it eliminates small and larfy buds when it comes time to flower and harvest. It also directs more energy towards the better bud sites.
When growing autos I found using 1/3rd of the recommended dosage to be ideal. And if my plants are doing well I will slowly increase the amount of nutrients to about 40-45% of the recommended dose.
Growing this variety is similar to growing Mango Smile. It doesn’t need much attention or even nutrients in early veg. It’s just on auto pilot. Once it starts throwing out bud spots and branches I will tie down certain branches so every bud site is covered in light.
I did some light defoliating of a couple fan leaves that were blocking primary bud sites. I’m also doing some training on the lowest nodes so this plant has a nice open canopy. I’ve noticed just with a little LST you’ll get bigger and better results come harvest time. This allows light to penetrate all bud sites and it creates more room for air flow.
