terpinski Did some heavy defoliation/schwazzing on her. Took almost 1.5 hours! Very bushy plant, so I figure she could use the breathing room down the road once the buds are coming in. And talking about buds... there are so many bud sites! Adjusted nutes to be more flower happy, started using Shogun Sumo Active Boost. Check out the stretch from D64 to D70!

terpinski Won't stop stretching! Hopefully she's gonna pack on some weight now, her neighbors need light and I won't want to move them higher! She got a heavy defoliation/schwazzing again.... and it's paying off big time! I don't mind the larf, they're all getting light. While she cures, those will be my tasters. I'm really hoping for one pound from this plant! Can't believe it's an auto.

terpinski Just wanted to point out she's in a 12 hour schedule because her neighbors are photos. We have about another 1-1.5 months. Maybe I should turn this into a Valentines Day Harvest :) Hardest part is going to be finding a way to dry this in a big enough area. I've been using the Lotus Dry/Dr. Ziggy/Low and Slow Method which is phenomenal. Terpenes are retained, flavors I've never experienced before are attainable and for me, a better overall medicinal experience. Now I just need to find a refrigerator big enough! As always, some light defoliation on any remaining fan leaves... I think I just about got them all. Also, did a little Lolli-Pop at the bottom. Very minimal - majority of buds will be smokable. Should I make some Ice Water Hash with this plant?

terpinski Partial harvest at D116/F65! Harvested all tops above a certain height and 2 full length "trophy" colas. Bud structure is amazing. It's extremely dense, pictures do not do it justice! Took forever to trim, but got it all sorted. Bucked the buds and threw them in the mini fridge to slow dry. I will do the second harvest after 10-14 days. All nutrients have been killed at this point. Although sugar leaves are green, they are extremely brittle! They weren't fading at all. Trichomes are very large and grainy, which I do not mind. They retain their structure until you hold/touch them, then burst with oil. Smoke is EXTREMELY hashy and HEAVY from the tester buds. For sure an indica-dominant phenotype. Scissor hash is pretty much full melt minus the vegetation. The flavor is wonderful - berries, vanilla and cream., just like the aroma. I edited and uploaded weeks 13 - 15 just after smoking some - very chilled out :) I wish I could post this under "Harvest", but I'll do that soon with final chop / dry yield. Estimating 12-16oz. Wedding Cake is one of my Top 3 strains, and Barney's Farm did a phenomenal job - she is on point as far flavor and smoke! A pleasure to grow as well.

terpinski Entire canopy of mids developed purple tops from light exposure just like I predicted! Trichomes are getting rather dry! They are falling onto the bucket lids. I wanted to wait 10-14 days additional for mids/lowers, but will be chopping tomorrow on day 8 after harvest of tops because the plant is getting brittle/dry. I pruned some leaves in this stage as well for maximum light exposure. Also, I am finally seeing some "fade" in some of the remaining fan leaves, which means the plant is using up it nutrient reserve now that it's been roughly 2 weeks with no nutes.

I loved growing this plant but it was ALOT of hard work and upkeep maintenence-wise. Strong vigor on her 💪 No fault at all of Barney's, all due to my manipulation shenanigans and experiments on this one just to learn. Overall, super bushy plant which I loved. It grew a bit taller than expected, but that's OK. She reacted just the way I wanted and thru the IMMENSE stress I put on her... not a single nanner :) -Defoliated from seedling stage once the upper fan leaves started blocking node sites (at ~3 nodes tall). -Topped above 7th Node -LST'd all branches as low and wide as possible for a wide canopy. -6-7 heavy defoliation (Schwazzing) sessions thru veg and flower . 1-2 hours each. Trying to maximize light exposure for my dinky Mars Hydro TS1000 lights. I did have half of an additional light pointed at her for the last 4ish weeks of flower, versus the 2 I started with. But that was really it. She had a super hashy, dead meat aroma all thru the cut once harvested... And all the hard work was not in vain >:) 2.5lbs (40oz) of WET buds only (no stems). Dry weight came out to 9.1oz (261 grams) Will for sure be loading up on more seeds in the future, can’t believe this is possible on an auto but now I have to 😎

terpinski Extremely heavy yield from this one and immensely pleased. DWC all the way baby!! Trimming did take a while. After the trimming, I bucked the buds and they went into the refrigerator for a nice slow dry at 40*F + an RH of 40%.... 2.5lbs of just buds, no stems!!!! 40 freaking ounces wet! Cannot complain at all. I have to carefully monitor the dry. After about 13 days, the first partial harvest is nearly dry. Smaller buds will be ready in 3 days tops, bigger tops in about a week. Then I got the second batch which will be just about the end of this month.... exciting! Will update with dry results as soon as possible.
