Started seeds 1/3. Germinated 3 seeds of each strain in a room temp glass of water. 89% germination rate, with 1 of the Cherry Berries not poppin. Moved to solo cups with a 70/30 coco/perlite mix under 50% lighting, 18/day at day 3 of germ.
Steady as she goes. Will probably cull the 2 stunted sprouts. One looks a little weak and the other had problems dropping the casing. Was really hoping to do 8 plants this grow, but I'd rather focus on 6 strong ones.
let them go a little too long in the cups cuz i was gone fishin. moved to 2 gal pots, they were prayin by the next morning. forgot to transfer the strain label to the new container.....d'oh! i bet it will smoke ok even if i don't know the strain. probably top once soon, then move to flower when they're about 12"
everything looking pretty good. wish they were a little darker, but the calmag should help them eat a bit more N. increased the ph a little too. hopefully they'll stretch out in their new digs.
got a bit of a ph imbalance. runoff was at like 4.8-5.0. did a flush with florakleen to runoff. next watering will be back to regular nutes. overall plants looking good, but definitely some issues from the ph. looked like a cal deficiency and leaves were brittle. bottom leaves though, not the new growth.
Plants rebounded from the PH and calmag issues. Looking super healthy. Moving into week 3 of flower, so adding PK to the mix. should get through the stretch this week or next and start putting on some bulk. finally got a humidifier going in the room, so they're definitely drinking more. super stoked about the plants at this stage!!
Still looking good, no issues. I gave one of the plants a heavy defoliation just to see how it fares next to the natural plants of the same strain. I've done a few grows with heavy defoliation, and a few with none. To be honest, I've never found a huge difference between the two methods. I kinda wish these were packing on a little more mass right now, but I'm patient. I think all of these might be in that 10 week range but hopefully they're done a little sooner.
Starting to bulk up and get sugary. A little concerned that some several of the leaves are stating to turn and I'm likely halfway through flower. Thought I'd take a few pics with the lights off this week. I have to get a better camera lol.
Week has gone well. Upper the nutes this week in prep for tapering down and flushing in a couple weeks. I'm going to try the New Millenium Winter Frost finisher. I keep reading really good things about it. I'll probably do half the plants with, half without. Smell is pungent, super sweet, and floral.
Getting so close! 1 maybe 2 weeks left. Haven't seen too many amber trichs yet, but a few are popping. Buds are incredibly fragrant and swelling nicely. Went to only Cal-Mag and Winter Frost this week.
Made it to harvest!!! Enjoyed the grow overall. Really tried to just plant and feed these girls. Let them grow very naturally and learned a ton by doing so. Ethos genetics are superb, and I will grow many more from them. Gonna come back and update with more/better photos and harvest metrics, just wanted to get this post in. I'm going to focus a lot more on better photos and documentation in my next diary.
