Hi guys, just a quick info for whoever read this diary: I started this run with two plants but during Week 9 (57 days: 49 vegetative + 8 flowering) I had to remove the one on the right due slow growth (issue started after I topped her). Enjoy the reading. 🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱 Third run begins. 🍪🍦Cookies Gelato by RQS, my first time with photoperiods. I created this diary at the end of January but due some problem with the new drip system (too ph oscillations), I decided to go back to my first love: the DWC. This time, however, I decided to build my own DWC, taking into account the negative aspects that I find in the expensive DWC of various brands. This tank has about 50 liters capacity and on the bottom I have inserted a metal tap that will help me with the solution changes. The lid is made up of two parts, the upper one on which I made a hole in which I inserted a 2 liter planter full of expanded clay and the two root riot; the front part of the lid is magnificent because it opens and allows me to do a quick check of PH and EC. This time I'm going to count the days from the germination date. I'm going to VEG for about 40 days, then switch to 12/12 for about 70 days. I plan on topping the plants during week 4, then defoliation + SCROG during week 5, switch 12/12 during week 6. Then lollipopping at the end of the stretch. In this run I will use my new MARS HYDRO TS1000 2022 (already have one with 2021 MOSO driver), bought a few days ago to test the latest model with the proprietary Mars Hydro driver. I'm sure there will be further improvement in my performance 💪. No sponsor for me yet, what I have is what I bought but I hope someone can help me to bring my crops to the next level. I'm planning to buy a new 90x90 tent and a nice 300/480 watt lamp would be very nice. Crossed fingers! 🤞 🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱GERMINATION STAGE🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱 - 20/2/23: seeds in a glass of demineralized water, 2 drops of rootbastic and 3 drops of hydrogen peroxide for 24 hours, then in root riot; - 21/2/23: seeds under TS1000: 100 cm distance / 33% dimmer = 50 watt; - 22/2/23: first Cookies Gelato sprouted; - 23/2/23: second Cookies Gelato sprouted. - Got some gift from RQS, really appreciated. I'll consider tomorrow as 1° day of veg for all 2 seedlings. I'll switch 'em to 12/12 after 40/45 days of veg.

WEEK 2 VEG = 3/3/2023 (DAY 8) ---> 9/3/2023 (DAY 14) [DAY 8] - 3/3/2023 ⚡- TS1000: 50 cm distance / 60% dimmer = 90 watt; ⌛- 20/4 light cycle; 🌡️- 25° C - 50% RH average; 📑- PH 5.9 - EC 0.4 in DWC; 💧- Watering once/day - 200ml/day; 🍔- This week I'll feed 'em with 0.4 ml/l Rootbastic + 0.5 ml/l Hydro A + 0.5 ml/l Hydro B = EC 0.6; 🌱- The seedling on the left shows weird leaves, we'll see 😩 [DAY 9] - 4/3/2023 🌡️- 25° C - 55% RH average; 📑- PH 5.8 - EC 0.4 in DWC; 🌱- The seedling on the right has several roots in DWC😍 [DAY 10] - 5/3/2023 🌡️- 25° C - 60% RH average; 📑- PH 5.8 - EC 0.4 in DWC; 💧- Added a water pump to the bottom of the DWC, which works three times a day (for one hour) to mix the nutrient solution; 🌱- Both seedlings have several roots in DWC. Now comes the fun part! 😎 [DAY 11] - 6/3/2023 🌡️- 25° C - 62% RH average; 📑- PH 5.8 - EC 0.4 in DWC; 💧- Still watering trought the clay once/day - 200ml/day to promote root system. Next week I will decrease the level of the solution by about 5 centimeters; 🌱- The right one is the best seedling I ever growth (in my short grower-life); the left one is the worst 😂. I guess we can say: genetics is almost everything, then you can take care about RH, Temp, PH, EC and whatever else. 👽 - Hi guys, here myself from the future! Just wrote a bullsh*t. The left one will grow amazing and the right one s*cks and I'll remove her! Bye, I go forward to Week 9! [DAY 13] - 8/3/2023 🌡️- 25° C - 65% RH average; 📑- PH 5.9 - EC 0.65 in DWC. With a 50 liters configuration PH remains stationary between 5.8 and 5.9, need to fix it once in a while, I like it! [DAY 14] - 9/3/2023 🌡️- 25.5° C - 70% RH average; 📑- PH 5.9 - EC 0.66 in DWC; 🌱- Seedling on the right is going very well. VPD is improving and she's responding fine. It's just a common pigment mutation in that particular pheno. I have it on my lilac diesel 22 x crescendo 11 and at first I thought it was tobacco mosaic virus but as long the plant continues to grow at a normal pace you should have nothing to worry about my guy. Hope this helps.

WEEK 3 VEG = 10/3/2023 (DAY 15) ---> 16/3/2023 (DAY 21) [DAY 15] - 10/3/2023 ⚡- TS1000: 60 cm distance / 75% dimmer = 110 watt; ⌛- 18/6 light cycle; 🌡️- 26° C - 65% RH average; 📑- PH 5.9 - EC 0.65 in DWC; 💧- Watering once/day - 200ml/day. Decreased water level by about 5 centimeters, making a gap between the netpot and the solution; ✂️- TOPPING: The seedling on the left certainly has a big mutation. The central stem ended up with a single leaf and the lateral branches are slowly growing. The plant is certainly giving its energies on the lateral branches and for this reason I decided to cut the central stem to let the light reach the lower branches, could be considered as "Topping". Maybe she's too young but I don't care. ↕️ Height: 6cm; 🌱- The seedling on the right is just perfect 😀, next week I'll probably proceed to topping her. ↕️ Height: 12cm. [DAY 16] - 11/3/2023 🌡️- 25.5° C - 65% RH average; 📑- PH 5.5 - EC 0.73 in DWC. Lowered PH with PH Down, raised EC with CalMag, both by GHE; ✂️- DEFOLIATION: on the right one I removed 4 fan leaves and 1 cotyledon to let the light penetrate. Tomorrow I will remove other two leaves; 🌱- The seedling on the left is going slow but fine, too short. [DAY 17] - 12/3/2023 🌡️- 25° C - 60% RH average; 📑- PH 5.6 - EC 0.73 in DWC; ✂️- DEFOLIATION: on the right one I removed 2 fan leaves. New shots are getting light now and plant is generating a lot of little leaves. [DAY 18] - 13/3/2023 🌡️- 25.5° C - 58% RH average; 📑- PH 5.7 - EC 0.71 in DWC; ✂️- DEFOLIATION: removed 2 fan leaves each; 🥉 - Got prizes from Fastbuds thanks to the contest "Diary of the month" for the Kosher's diary, very appreciated 😁 A lot of new FF seeds 😍 [DAY 19] - 14/3/2023 🌡️- 25° C - 60% RH average; 📑- PH 5.8 - EC 0.71 in DWC; 🌱- Both seedlings are fine, nice color and new leaves every day. No training for them today. [DAY 20] - 15/3/2023 🌡️- 25° C - 62% RH average; 📑- PH 5.7 - EC 0.71 in DWC; 🌱- Seedlings are ok and they fully recovered after defoliation. [DAY 21] - 16/3/2023 🌡️- 25.5° C - 60% RH average; 📑- PH 5.7 - EC 0.7 in DWC; 💧- Stop top watering. After 3 weeks, tomorrow I will change the DWC with 50 liters of fresh solution; ✂️- Seedling on the right has a typical christmas tree shape, next week I'll topping her; 🌱- Seedling on the left has 3 thick branches, due the auto-topping the plant is pushing to thicken the other branches.

Hi guys, yesterday I changed the solution in DWC and today I saw some foam in the tank. I had some ph oscillation and used first ph down and after some silica to raise ph. I guess that could cause that foam, what do you think? Some tips?

I have no idea what is causing the foam but I wouldn't want it in MY reservoir... If you're not going to change your reservoir out again, I'd at least add some H2O2 (about a tsp per gallon) - but if this was MY grow, I'd change that out again right quick.... and clean the reservoir/bucket (can't tell what you use) with H2O2 very well before filling it back up. Good luck....

So your plants are under performing and that's because your ppm is too low. For week five you should be at least around 800-1000ppm by now and into bloom my friend. Not sure if it's because of the training you're doing but I would start giving them the nutrients they need. Hope this helps.

WEEK 6 VEG = 31/3/2023 (DAY 36) ---> 6/4/2023 (DAY 42) [DAY 36] - 31/3/2023 ⚡- TS1000: 50 cm distance / 85% dimmer = 130 watt; ⌛- 18/6 light cycle; 🌡️- 25° C - 55% RH average. [DAY 37] - 1/4/2023 🌡️- 26° C - 50% RH average; 📑- PH 5.7 - EC 1.8 in DWC; ✂️- DEFOLIATION: both plants. Only one week after the last defoliation, they're already full of leaves, specially the right one (too bushy imho), so I think they need an haircut to maximize the next two weeks before switch to flower; 🌱- Left: ↕️ 21 cm, despite the bad start she's beautiful now; 🌱- Right: ↕️ 15 cm, after topping she stopped her growth, too many leaves around the tight internodes. That's my first time with photoperiod and they having more issues/mutation than my autoflowers, let's see what happen after switch to flower. [DAY 41] - 5/4/2023 🌡️- 23.5° C - 50% RH average; 📑- PH 5.8 - EC 2 in DWC; 💧- Solution is dropping day by day and EC is stable, no spots or signs on leaves. I guess everything is going well. [DAY 42] - 6/4/2023 🌡️- 24° C - 50% RH average; 📑- PH 6 - EC 2 in DWC; 🌱- Tomorrow begins last veg week.

This week I post a short summary, I've been very busy with work and had no time to update the diary as usual. WEEK 7 VEG = 7/4/2023 (DAY 43) ---> 13/4/2023 (DAY 49) 🌑 - [12/4/23, 2 AM] LIGHT OFF; 🌕 - [13/4/23, 2 PM] LIGHT ON, after 36 hours dark. I'll consider April 14th as 1° flowering day; 💧 - Before turning off the lights I emptied the DWC and added 40 liters of pre-flower blend -> EC 2 - PH 5.9 🍔 - I'll use GHE/TA Tripart in pre and flowering stage. Stop with the A+B by Atami because they almost finished (after 1 year), great job! I noticed that Bloom stimulator unfortunately gone bad. Later in flowering I will add Bloombastic, if it is still good. --------------------- SUMMARY --------------------- ⚡ - TS1000: 40 cm distance / 85% dimmer = 130 watt; ⌛ - 18/6 light cycle; 🌡️ - 24° C - 55% RH average; 📑 - PH 5.9 - EC 2 in DWC; ✂️ - DEFOLIATION: I defoliated both at the beginning of the week and just before the start of the 36 hours of darkness. I have not removed any branches to date, only leaves. After the stretch I'll decide which branch to keep and which to remove; 🥅 - Still SCROGing the left one. The right one almost touches the net; 🌱 - Left: ↕️ 25 cm / Right: ↕️ 18 cm.

WEEK 1 FLOWERING = 14/4/2023 (DAY 1 FLO) ---> 20/4/2023 (DAY 7 FLO) [DAY 50 - 1° FLO] - 14/4/2023 ⚡ - TS1000: 40 cm distance / 100% dimmer = 150 watt; ⌛ - 12/12 light cycle; 🌡️ - 26° C - 55% RH during light / 21° C - 63% RH during night; 📑 - PH 6.1 - EC 2 in DWC; 🍔 - This week I'll feed them with pre-flower blend. Stop ATAMI A+B and Hydro Booster, added GHE TRIPART: Micro (1.8)+Grow (1.8)+Bloom (1.8) and Fulvic (1). Raised Atazyme to 2 ml/l; 🥅 - Still SCROGing the left one; 🌱 - Left: ↕️ 29 cm / Right: ↕️ 19 cm. [DAY 51 - 2° FLO] - 15/4/2023 🌡️ - 25.5° C - 50% RH during light / 22° C - 65% RH during night; 📑 - PH 5.9 - EC 2 in DWC; 👃 - It starts to smell good when I open the grow box. [DAY 52 - 3° FLO] - 16/4/2023 🌡️ - 26.5° C - 53% RH during light / 21.5° C - 65% RH during night; 📑 - PH 6 - EC 2 in DWC; 🌸 - Between the first and the second day of flowering both plants showed them sex, they are definitely girls. [DAY 53 - 4° FLO] - 17/4/2023 🌡️ - 26.5° C - 53% RH during light / 21.5° C - 65% RH during night; 📑 - PH 5.9 - EC 2 in DWC; 💧 - The 50 LT solution stays stable from every point of view, PH - EC and TEMP are super stable and I rarely have to fix them; 🥅 - Still opening the canopy with SCROG. [DAY 54 - 5° FLO] - 18/4/2023 🌡️ - 24° C - 55% RH during light / 21° C - 62% RH during night; 📑 - PH 5.8 - EC 2 in DWC; ✂️- DEFOLIATION: left one. Removed about 15 big fan leaves, she's very strong and can handle it, I'm sure. [DAY 55 - 6° FLO] - 19/4/2023 🌡️ - 23.5° C - 58% RH during light / 21° C - 60% RH during night; 📑 - PH 6 - EC 2 in DWC; 💧 - Added 10 lt fresh solution: 0.5 ml/l Liquid Silicon + 1 ml/l CalMag + Micro 1.8 ml/l + Grow 1.8 ml/l + Bloom 1.3 ml/l; ✂️- DEFOLIATION: right one. I'm still considering what to do with the plant on the right, it hasn't reached the net yet and so it can't go on. I tried to shake things up, did a big defoliation and took off the lowest and smallest branches. If there is enough growth in the next week I will keep it, otherwise it will be removed! [DAY 56 - 7° FLO] - 20/4/2023 🌡️ - 24° C - 55% RH during light / 20° C - 60% RH during night; 📑 - PH 5.8 - EC 2 in DWC; 🌱 - Left: she's wery well. The two tallest branches are about 30 centimeters away from the lamp, but they are on the side of the box (no light stress so far), the rest of the branches are about 35-40 centimeters away.

WEEK 2 FLOWERING = 21/4/2023 (DAY 8 FLO) ---> 27/4/2023 (DAY 14 FLO) [DAY 57 - 8° FLO] - 21/4/2023 ⚡ - TS1000: 40 cm distance / 100% dimmer = 150 watt; ⌛ - 12/12 light cycle; 🌡️ - 26° C - 55% RH during light / 21° C - 65% RH during night; 📑 - PH 5.9 - EC 2 in DWC; 💀 - I decided to cut the right plant. I no longer had much hope for her. I cut all lateral branches, then removed the main branch and root riot. As for the tank, I was careful to only cut off a small portion of the roots. There is a huge amount of roots destined to die in DWC in the next few hours. I'm not sure what's going to happen, but I'll deal with it without too much drama; 🍔 - Same pre-flower blend of last week, only difference is ATAZYME 3ml/l to help dispose of those dead roots; 💧 - After removing the plant, I emptied the DWC and added 10 liters of water for a quick flush; then inserted 40 liters: EC 2 - PH 5.9. In the next few days maybe I will go up to EC 2.2; 🥅 - Today was a very busy day but I had to fix the last thing, the SCROG net. Before removing the plant I decided to also remove the net to facilitate operations. Once the crime was committed, I reinserted the net over the plant and started weaving the branches in the best possible way. After a week from the switch the branches have stretched very good and that made this operation easy, the net is almost full. The distance between the clay and the net is about 20 cm; 🌱 - Plant is doing great, despite the hard day. The leaves have a nice color and have no issues. ↕️ 37 cm, without SCROG it would be about 50 cm tall, maybe more. Please look what I wrote at day 12 (week 2), I was so naive; 🔜 - I'm considering to mount a second SCROG soon; moreover, during this week I will provide a big defoliation, then two weeks of rest. [DAY 58 - 9° FLO] - 22/4/2023 🌡️ - 26° C - 54% RH during light / 21° C - 62% RH during night; 📑 - PH 5.9 - EC 2 in DWC; 🌱 - This plant is crazy, it seems like nothing happened yesterday. Great growth in the last 24 hours. Take a look to the pictures. [DAY 59 - 10° FLO] - 23/4/2023 🌡️ - 25° C - 58% RH during light / 21.5° C - 60% RH during night; 📑 - PH 6 - EC 2.2 in DWC; 🍔 - Raised EC: Micro (2ml/l) Grow (2ml/l) Bloom (1.5ml/l). [DAY 60 - 11° FLO] - 24/4/2023 🌡️ - 26° C - 54% RH during light / 21.5° C - 60% RH during night; 📑 - PH 6 - EC 2.2 in DWC; 💧 - NPK ratio changing : added in DWC 10 liter EC 2.2. Micro (2ml/l) Grow (1ml/l) Bloom (3ml/l); ✂️ - DEFOLIATION: removed most of the leaves to promote lower branch growth, now two weeks rest (next defoliation: DAY 74 - 25° FLO); 🌱 - The two main branches are great, this mutation was very useful. 😁 [DAY 61 - 12° FLO] - 25/4/2023 🌡️ - 26.5° C - 54% RH during light / 22.5° C - 57% RH during night; 📑 - PH 5.9 - EC 2.2 in DWC. [DAY 62 - 13° FLO] - 26/4/2023 🌡️ - 27° C - 45% RH during light / 21.5° C - 50% RH during night. [DAY 63 - 14° FLO] - 27/4/2023 🌡️ - 26° C - 50% RH during light / 23° C - 45% RH during night; 📑 - PH 5.7 - EC 2.2 in DWC. 🥅 - Added a second SCROG net, 15cm from the first one; 🌱 - Plant recovered very well, I'm proud of her. 😍

WEEK 3 FLOWERING = 28/4/2023 (DAY 15 FLO) ---> 4/5/2023 (DAY 21 FLO) [DAY 64 - 15° FLO] - 28/4/2023 ⚡ - TS1000: 40 cm distance / 100% dimmer = 150 watt; ⌛ - 12/12 light cycle; 🌡️ - 27° C - 50% RH during light / 23° C - 58% RH during night; 📑 - PH 5.9 - EC 2.3 in DWC; 🍔 - For the third week of 12/12 I decided to decrease N a little and increase P and K: Micro 2ml/l, Grow 1.8 ml/l, Bloom 2 ml/l; 💧 - Solution in DWC is getting warmer: 22° C; 🥅 - I'm using the second SCROG net to even out the canopy. I bent the topmost branches and spread the branches further towards the sides of the box. The branches are still flexible enough to bend without issues; 🌱 - No marks on leaves, the plant has a nice green color. There are at least 30 flowering sites popping out of the second SCROG net. As already said, it's my first time with photoperiod and I don't know what to expect in terms of stretch, I'll try to manage it as best I can. ↕️ 43cm; 🔜 - Bought and mounted my new 3x3 tent. Next time I'll use that with my 2 TS1000! [DAY 65 - 16° FLO] - 29/4/2023 🌡️ - 27° C - 55% RH during light / 23° C - 55% RH during night; 📑 - PH 5.8 - EC 2.3 in DWC; 💧 - Keeping an eye on the PH and EC values I noticed that in this 50 liter configuration the EC is very stable while the PH slowly drops day after day. I manage it don't using PH down when I top up. In this way I bring the PH levels to 6.1 and need to correct it after 3 or 4 days; 🌱 - Look at the day 65, done? Now go to last week and look at day 60. In 5 days the plant has filled the box again, amazing! 🌸 - Pre-flowers are forming, between tomorrow and the day after the flowering sites will be full of white pistils. [DAY 66 - 17° FLO] - 30/4/2023 🌡️ - 26.5° C - 60% RH during light / 22.5° C - 57% RH during night; 📑 - PH 5.8 - EC 2.3 in DWC; ✂️ - Removed about 20 big fan leaves; 🌸 - Flowering sites are filling up with pistils. [DAY 67 - 18° FLO] - 1/5/2023 🌡️ - 26° C - 64% RH during light / 21.5° C - 60% RH during night; 📑 - PH 6 - EC 2.3 in DWC; 🌸 - Pistils everywhere! [DAY 68 - 19° FLO] - 2/5/2023 🌡️ - 26° C - 65% RH during light / 21° C - 65% RH during night; 📑 - PH 5.8 - EC 0.4 in DWC; 💧 - Flush for 24 hours, tomorrow she'll get full flower blend; 🌱 - Plant got 6 cm in the last 48 hours. [DAY 69 - 20° FLO] - 3/5/2023 🌡️ - 26° C - 65% RH during light / 21° C - 65% RH during night; 📑 - PH 5.8 - EC 2.4 in DWC; 🍔 - After 20 days, DWC change: 40 LT flower blend. Silic (1ml/l) + CalMag (1ml/l) + Micro (2ml/l) + Grow (1ml/l) + Bloom (3ml/l) + Fulvic (1ml/l) + Atazyme (3ml/l). Added about 100ml Ph down Flower by Canna, to be honest I don't think it's very effective, I had to use a lot to lower the PH and I hope it's stable. Only plus side: is just phosphoric acid and is very useful in this phase! 💧 - Not a single dead root at the bottom of the DWC, I hope the old roots are at least rotting away. On the bright side, they're not causing any problems; 🌱 - Plant looks pretty fine, perhaps there is some slight light burn. I'll check tomorrow and, if necessary, raise the lamp by a few centimetres. The branches are still quite flexible but I have no more space to bend them 😅 [DAY 70 - 21° FLO] - 4/5/2023 🌡️ - 27° C - 60% RH during light / 22° C - 65% RH during night; 📑 - PH 6 - EC 2.4 in DWC; 🌱 - Week 3 flowering is done. Big change this week! I don't know if I'm talking bullsh*t, but since the switch I have noticed an important change in the leaves, they seem much thinner and longer, typical of Sativa dominant plants, and I like it!

She's still growing in height, she got about 6 cm since this week started; 🌸 - Pistills are growing everywhere, plant is making a lot of resin on leaves! Hope to see giant flowers forming during next week; 🏆 - Thanks @Fast_Buds for this amazing prize for the Kosher's diary! THAT ROLLING TRAY...I LOVE IT!!! [DAY 77 - 28° FLO] - 11/5/2023 🌡️ - 27° C - 56% RH during light / 23° C - 67% RH during night; 📑 - PH 5.9 - EC 2.2 in DWC; 💧 - This week she drank about 3 LT of solution per day; 🌱 - Week 4 flowering is done. This week plant still growth in height, I will keep that in mind for the next photoperiod crop.

🌱 GERMINATION (3 days) Seed in a glass of demineralized water and 3 drops of hydrogen peroxide for 24 hours. Then in root riot, under the lamp. It sprouted after 48 hours in root riot. 🌿 GROWING STAGE (7 weeks) I started this crop with 2 Cookies Gelato in the same 50 liters DWC, under a 150 watt lamp (TS1000) in a 2x2 tent (60cm x 60cm). During week 9 I decided to remove one of them, she was really small due the roots struggling, I'll never grow 2 plants in the same DWC again. The big one showed a mutation during the week 2, a kind of auto-topping which making 2 big branches. Moreover during veg stage I removed leaves several times and installed scrog during week 6. 🌸 FLOWERING STAGE (9 weeks) She started to stretch 1 week after switch to 12/12 and her vertical growth stopped during week 5 flo. During the first 3 weeks in flo I bended branches trought the SCROGnet. I made 2 big defoliation during the first 4 weeks of flowering and I noticed no problem after that, she was really strong. Then just feeded her correctly till the harvest. ✅ HARVEST (14/6/23) - DAY 111 (49 days veg + 62 days flo). ✅ DRYING STAGE (12 days) 12 days of drying at 25° C - 60% RH average. After that I made a dry trim and weighed the buds. ⚖️ DRY WEIGHT 180 gr frosty buds, 30 gr larf and 2 gr finger hash. ✅ CURING STAGE (60 days) Curing done after 2 months with Boveda 62%.
