think of it this way.. the other plants are feeding more "mouths" .. (aka extra axillary growth by comparison) ... so it's probably not growing "faster" despite most of the growth focused on 1 primary cola. if it has same total leaf area and same rootsystem, it's probably growing just as fast but concentrated in one spot... or if any of these things are lacking actually growing slower when you measure it all and tabulate it.
all sorts of variety in gowth patterns is possible... genetic depression can reduce axillary growth as well as overall vigorousness of growth. i think it's mistaken as "sativa" pheno at least some portion of the time at this point. inbred "outcropping" plants quickly turn to shit after just a couple generations.
Yellow leaves near the bottom should be OK to remove. If yellow the plant has already scavenged the leaf for the nutrients it needs and the leaf probably isn't providing a useful contribution to the plant.
Girls are in mid of 8th week of flower. I started to see some trichomes a bit brownish but also some clear ones, not much of whiteish. Is this normal? The zoomed photos are taken from the same that I think more matured. Do you think is still a week off or is ready to be cut. Tnx
Unless youโre looking for a sedative high - which is gettin to the point where the thc is degrading into mainly CBN - Iโd chop it within the week.
I see it as peak thc potency within the next week. Gorgeous looking buds - better than most โvetsโ out there
You really did not do bad at all for your first grow. Great job, Lots of good things to build off of here. If you don't mind, I highly recommend you checking out our tutorial series here on grow diaries, As well in video form on youtube. I am a retired legacy grower from big commercial grows & am now retired helping people learn to grow the same quality craft cannabis at home. We cover all aspects, The day to day & step by step that most people skip over. I would really love your input it is full of information for new and old growers alike.
I think with a few tweaks, Your next harvest will be even better. Keep up the great work! Every harvest is a chance for us to learn and improve.
@LegacyMarketFarm, Thanks for the tip. I have a small portable air con in the room but doesn't really cool down the tent inside unfortunately, I'm looking for another permanent solution before next grow. Also, I though with these LEDs temperature would be less than 26C (80f)
but apparently not.
@Xamber, I just checked your diary out for the temps & noticed your flower temps are pretty high. Anything over 80 is not good for bud formation we loose out on density, But we get a lot of size. Higher temps give us bigger more airy buds that will be more prone to fox tailing and also will not be able to cake up as much as using colder temps. I find 75-78 MAX on the plant tops is the best.
I too am cultivating the ''lemon tree'' genetics, the colors are the same as yours, the yields are abundant, congratulations, soon I too will proceed with the harvest and drying
@zMike, Its a nice strain. Smell is good. I noticed that the Lemon tree doesn;t like too much of a feed. I was even suggested up to 2 feeds a week max and rest water for max flavor and natural smell. I will be trying that next time.
