Alright and welcome to week 4, day 22. As you can see something is wrong. I think it's some Mag that is missing so I added some MagO 10 and I hope the problems will go away. If you guys think it is something different, leave a comment and we can discuss this 😎 I raised the water to 1.2 liters a day.
I also wondered how this could happen. Everything is okay at the measurements so how does this occur?
Day 23: The problems are still there but it seems they grew a bit overnight. I added Calcium today because some of you guys tell me it's Calcium deficiency. Well let's check back tomorrow. And wish me good luck! 😁
Day 24: Alright, I suck. I measured the runoff from plant 1 and it was way too high. Just like me sometimes (I forgot to take a picture of plant 4 today, have no clue how that shit happened. Yes I can count to 4 👽). What you guys thinking about EC 3.25 ph 5.9 @ the runoff? I don't think that's good so I lowered the EC in the tank by putting in fresh water.
How did it come this far? Well, I probably did not give enough water. Meaning it was enough for the plants, yes, but there was no or not enough runoff. So the salts (fertilizer) came to EC 3.25 in the substrate.
I'm "flushing" now with EC 1.25 and will check back tomorrow how the runoff will be.
When I measured the runoff from all 4 plants together EC was 2.1 - which is only a little too high, I am trying to reach 1.6 - 1.8 . Let's check back tomorrow. For forgetting the picture of plant 4 today, I made a video.
Day 25: The flushing was good. The plants look healthier again and the runoff is only 1.7 now. EC in the water tank is 1.35, ph 5.5. Also I removed some of the downer leafes. And I created this SCRoG net. So I just have to give them more water each day. So much there's about 20% runoff but I don't think I can measure or calculate 20% runoff. So I'll do it by feeling. Seems to work for now.
Day 26: Looks like the plants are okay again. I only checked the ph and EC which were good.
Day 27: The plants grow against the net. Also there are some waterdrops on the leafes which means that there is not enough air rotating inside the box. Have to check the airflow tomorrow.
Day 28: Last day of vegetation. Just ph'ed down a bit.
Too bad, i had no success in fighting against mold ( outdoor) i tried to cut etc,,, but then during the curing it moldered again. Its hard to detect the little " moldering-cells" and if you dont get all of them, the mold goes on. Las time it happened i harvested the hole plant to have a yield at all.
I hope you are more successfull
@Mrs_Larimar, did it that’s why the buds are already loose and on the dry-net. Daily checking. Everything was okay until now. Thumbs pressing!
Will clean the grow room with a badass cleaner (DanKlorix probably).
@Hilkes_Herbs, as i see its not different. and my recommondation will be to open the buds and making small pieces to dry otherwise moldering goes on ( buds zerpflücken)
Hi nice to see your new Space, did you sell your "old" led=? or have they been broken=? i hang everything that got light into my growspace, only more light is more light.. or do you do that...weiss nicht ob ichs ganz verstanden habe, für mich hört es sich so an als ob du die leds ersetzt hättest.
I like it silent 😉
Maybe I will get another Sanlight LED S4W in the future. Then the LED set would be like a 600W HID set and the outcomes should reach what they say on the websites. When they say it's 500g/m² they are talking about 12 plants on 1 squaremeter with 600W HID lights, so you should know what to expect 😊 at the moment this should be like 400W HID and I am really excited about the harvest 😍
@Mrs_Larimar, still only 4 😉 I like this system but I‘m thinking about getting bigger airpots. 9l instead of 5l now. But not sure yet because they could grow too big then.
i would put money on calcium and possibly magnesium deficiencies. im no expert just observing what ive experienced from my own grows, especially under led. i also use ro water which makes using calmag a must. the rust spot wont go away as the damage is done but it should stop. Other than that your girls a looking awesome! they are huge for 22 days old. i will be following
@Hilkes_Herbs, yeah man PH fluctuations and any other problem happens on plant time so 12 hours or days later symptoms can show as long as you stay dialed in it won't spread... or recover. you're in veg so it shouldn't affect your yield no worries ! never worries ! 🚀
@CRiSPrGrow, on Coco 5.5 - 5.8 is okay. Also mentioned on the fertilizer. I ph'ed down too much a few days before to 5.3 but it was okay 1 day after. Do these problems occur a few days later?!
I agree with ToadieK. I find growing under LEDs always make my girls hungry for calmag. i usually end up doubling the recommended dose late into veg and it seems to stop those calcium deficient rust spots.
@CrawlSpaceGrower, the lower leafes are getting yellow and get these rusty spots. If it's a Cal defiency we will surely know tomorrow coz I added some Calcium today.
typically the rust spots are an indication of a calcium deficiency where as a magnesium deficiency looks more like yellowing leaves with the veins of the leaves staying green. hope that helps cheers!
@CrawlSpaceGrower, that‘s what I‘ve also heard: growing under LED would require more CalMag. I added Mag in a first step because those rust points looked like „not enough Mag“ to me. I will check soon today and maybe the problems already disappeared. Will let you know ;-)
