25/02 - 03/03
Nothing big happened. The roots and leaves are growing nicely.
I had some humidity problems early on as I could not keep the RH% high enough even if I misted water constantly. RH% would vary between 40-60% during the day and would drop to 30% at night.
I added a humidifier on the 26th which made it much easier to keep the RH% around the 50-60% range.
For watering, I used only tap water that had been left to evaporate its chlorine content.
I soaked the bottom of the grow cup for about 5 seconds so it would absorb water but not be drenched (no water leaking after pulling it out). I did this the first two times to ensure my peat moss would hold water. I also misted the top soil and leaves several times a day when it started to look dry.
First two sets of leaves are well underway. The roots are well established as I can see them poking out from the bottom of the cup. The cardboard cup fits in the pot elevator so I hope it will keep the roots safe and secure for a few more days.
Next week, I will start easing some nutrients in the water to bolster the growth as well as harden the plant for the transplant which will happen much earlier than I thought.
