This is a fast finishing auto. First time growing sour stomper. Been pretty balanced and steady all the way through. Pretty stress free grow, although I know with some training this could be better.
Great grow. Hoping mine turn to our as good or better. Day 39 from seed and one is 19.5 inches other is 18.5.... like 10 tops on each and continues to grow. Starting to bud decently now. Fingers crossed. I'm shooting for 8oz for both.
Great job on yours tho Def try LST they seem to love it. I've documented my grow extremely well. Every picture is labeled with the strain and it's day from seed.
Good luck on the next one, have a good one growmie
@XG_Jack,
Almost every thing you said I have been doing to some degree. I have followed floraflex's feeding schedule to a T.. as I didn't want to go wrong and mess anything up. I also use 2g of recharge per gallon every watering and I feed every watering.
I did flush lightly, like 8 pints or so with only tap water ph to 5.8 and I had some recharge in it. I lowered the ppms to normal 900-1100. So I fed yesterday and they seem to have come back really well.
I will try the half strength or 3/4 and see what they like best. I realize each cultivar is different as well and I'm running 4 different ones so I'm just happy their alive and not dead hahday.
I guess I have used lst very lightly I bend tops and branches down multiple times a day, u bought some of that green flexible wire and I can't work with it. Maybe if I had pots with holes to use for anchors but not these pots.
Thank you for all the insight and advice it's greatly appreciated fam.
If I get a Oz per plant I'm winning. Especially with the light failures I had during seedling stage. Anything I get is a W... I have also gained valuable knowledge and experience and that's always a W too.
Thanks again!
@@DoughHead, I checked out your plants. We both grow the same way with a coco/perlite mix. I see this is your first grow, youâre actually doing awesome from the looks of your pics. Your plants look great. As far as the sour stomper, youâre def high on PPMs. Itâs easy to get carried away when youâre starting. I did it too, and we run into lockout or nute burn sometimes. I typically never take my coco grows over 900ppm, with some genetics needing a little higher sometimes 1100-1200. If I remember correct sour stomper was happiest between 6-800ppm even in flower.
I will recommend a few pointers in coco with autos if youâre open to them.
A big benefit of coco is you can flush it out quickly by using plain water PH around 5.8 and in 3 gallon it wonât take long. Youâll have a lot of salt buildup around 2400 and that flush will get it out. Itâs just like emptying a hydro container and refilling it with the right mix after that. Itâs best to water in those lower ppm ranges daily and til 10-20% runoff. This also cleans the old salts. Donât be afraid to throw in a plain phd 5.8 watering every 14 days as well with some extra runoff.
There is a product called Real Growers Recharge. Itâs a great addition to a coco grow and I highly recommend it. Instead of giving nutes every day you can swap every other with this and you will see improvements in deficiencies and better roots and growth. Less is really more with autos in nutes. Half strength recommended on bottle usually is all you need. When I have deficiencies this stuff is kinda like an antibiotic. It fixes a lot of things for you.
There is one exception though and thatâs calmag. Coco competes with the plant and retains some of your cal/mag. I go full dose on cal mag only.
The final thing is LST will give you much more weight and once you get comfortable with it you can really shape your plants for even canopies without a trellis net.
I lollipop autos as well but not as much or as high up as I do with photos. Anything close to the coco I pull, but Iâll keep those small bud sites that are up off the coco, especially if youâre LSTing you will still get good weight on the lowers.
Like I said great plants so far. Really impressive for a first time grower. Best of luck the rest of the way.
@XG_Jack, I am in 3g so I will definitely try bigger pots. I want to do a self watering system with 5g or bigger pots. Idc the shape.. but I gotta come up with something.. those 5g buckets are easy to turn into self watering so I may try that. But thanks for your insight and recommendations on 7g I'll definitely try it mate. Have a great day!
@EvolutionGrowsX, sorry for the delay responding. I run 18/6 with autos. I think they like a little rest. Seemed to get better root mass and plants than the 20/4 I was running before.
