Well during veg I noticed that the Cali connection Tiramisu was quite odd. Big dark, waxy leaves, crumpled like lettuce or something? And rough textured, very prone to breaking off branches when training and very little veg smell. Keeping an eye on it. Could turn out great, instinct tells me it probably won’t.
Coming on fine, canopy is neat, dunno whether these strains lend themselves to that, but they’ve been pretty aggressively trained and supercropped into shape, and they are doing alright except for the Tiramisu, which is still a bit suspect.
So the Tiramisu Hermied.
Yeah.
I decided to get rid of it rather than try removing nanners and seeing how it went, the plant was always odd, not as many trichs or scent to it either.
Packing on the trichs now, all expressing their own tings. The cherries Jubilee has a great bud structure nice and dense but has lots of packed in sugar and fan leaves sticking out of the colas. Looks nice but is a bit detrimental to the lower stuff. I’ve defoliated but it really is dense and awkward to trim, so I’ve kinda left it.
Practically overnight the Blackberry Moonrocks darkened to almost black from its blackberry Kush parentage, Kinda signaling that it’s ready. I mean it’s caked in trichs, many cloudy but still not quite there. All these strains look and smell great.
I don’t know whether the original breeders Anesia’s BlackBerry Moonrocks is better or has more stable pheno variation, I grew one seed and it came out pretty good, other than these overtly purple (tasting) strains I’m not all that fussy weed wise. Shame but if you dig this sort of thing, I’d recommend this hardy relatively quick finishing plant. Yielded just about 4 ounces which is on point, even the lower stuff wasn’t larf it was caked popcorn bud.
I should’ve perhaps taken a cut of this as the buds looked close to that really frosty aesthetic everyone loves to see. Well seeing as the other Cal connection strain I started had to be thrown when it hermied, this performed solidly. Small, dense nuggets, the lower stuff not quite larf, but just a little underdeveloped due to the bushiness and protrusion of leaves out of the colas.
