Here we go! Feb 18 - Seeds shaken in a tube of 320 grit sandpaper, then soaked for 8 hours in a H202/Water solution - Moved into damp paper towels inside Ziplock bags and covered the dome with a dark towel Goals for this stage are to keep the temperature above 22c and humidity above 60% for the week. I'll give the paper towels a misting twice a day to keep them from drying out. Feb 19 - All seeds germinated and planted in seedling bags filled with peat/coco/perlite/myco, which was pre-heated to 23c on a seedling mat - Watered with a 12ml syringe @ pH 6.3 (4ml each) - Lights ON, timer set to 18/6 Feb 20 (Day 0) Seed heads are starting to peel themselves off, I just keep misting them to help them along. After the 6 hour dark period, all seedlings have shed their shells and cotys are opening. Planted the bags directly into 4" pots

Grow Questions

After topping all plants (from 6 nodes to down to the 3rd node), the two main fan leaves started canoeing and looking crispy on half of them. All other growth is ok. What would cause this and why wouldn't all plants be affected?

So usually if there isn't any other damage to the leaf other than the canoeing, it's most likely a watering issue. Either too much or too little. Other than that everything else looks on point my guy. Hope this helps.

Any HPS growers out there tried switching to Metal Halide bulbs during the last week of bloom?

Breeders will often print flowering times on their strains but what does it mean? When they say "8-9 weeks or 56-63 days" what are they talking about? Is it the time measured from the day you flip to 12/12 or do they mean the time from when pistils start to show? Opinions needed.

I think its from when they show pistils. So usually I add an extra 7 to 10 days on the breeders time frame because that's usually how long after 12/12 my plants start throwing out pistils.
