Hello again my friends and visitors. It's time again to start growing some cannabis, this time i decided to split my grow and bring back some verity in my smoking sessions.
It is easier to grow one strain (especially in my setup where all four plants drink the same solution) but yeah then you are stuck with that one strain, and i know nobody in my neighborhood with whom i could swap my cannabis.
Also i got sponsored many seeds and strains which i would like to present to you.
This diary will be focused on a strain i was gifted from an excellent breder Sweet Seeds for this grow i choosed Tropicanna Poison XL auto.
I want two plants of this strain in my four plant RDWC setup so i dropped four seed of Tropicanna poison in a glass of water, and all four seeds broke the shells. At the next step i planted the seeds directly in a rockwool cube where also all four plants showed thier heads...from the four i will pick two strongest plants soon.
A big thank you to the Sweet Seeds team for the seeds, you guys bread some of the best seeds and strains i know of.
Welcome to a new adventure my friends and visitors 👋
The seedlings are for now comfortably in my house because the temperatures in my basement are still under 10 degree Celsius
The Mars Hydro TS 1000 is set 30cm. from the top of the seedlings and the dimmer is set on 50%.. It does not mean that the lamp runs now 75 Watt ;) its more like 40 Watt now.
That's it, I hope to see y'all next week growmies🙏
A big hello to my friends and visitors 👋
I had to move my seedlings to the basement on 11.02. because of visitors at my hause also the root development they really needed to land in there. The temperature in the basement without light is about 11 degree Celsius, but the plants seem to not mind...I would even go as far as stating that the seedlings look very happy :)
The full transplantation to the DWC buckets was on 16.02. I decided to swap already the TS 1000 Mars Hydro for my Spider Farmer SE 7000.
I know I"d written in description that the plants are under a SE 3000 lamps but as both my diaries and strains are under one SE7000 I thought i split them Watts and it's basically the same company so I hope nobady minds. If it's considered cheeting please let me know in the comments ;)
The two Tropicanna Poison XL plants are in the buckets on the right side Of my growroom.
Because of my soft heart i decided to give the two surplus Tropicanna Poison XL seedlings one more week in the grow room, but eventually i'll probably discard them.
That's it, I hope to see y'all next week growmies 🙏
Hello to you all.
As a true visionary I decided to go FULL HYDRO this week, that means water in buckets and outside the buckets /s
This grow turns out to be an uphill battle but i already decided to bring it to completion no matter what...Icy weather, floods, alien invasions what's coming next a big bank crash?!
I bring this grow to the end , who needs banks anyways when you got #coins
On 22.02. added nutrients to the 140 liters of solution.
That's it, I hope to see y'all next week growmies.
Hello to you all.
As the whole of last week i was fighting the flood (you can still see some water on the photos), this week a fever finally caught with me...that's why the plants look so miserable ;)
Almost no maintenance was performed on them and the cold weather is still there although it's becoming slightly warmer (hopeium :)
If anyone remembers this fall infected some wood logs with medical mycelium (see Killer Kush diary) and already got some results that i want to share (see wood log photo:)
That's it, I hope to see y'all next week growmies.
Hello to you all.
This week was a great week of recovery for me...can't say that about my plants xP
As I wanted to perform some overdue LST, a main stem of Tropicanna Poison XL broke under my fingers...all of the plants are stiff AF and break like glass, no way for LST i broke many more twigs while trying it in all the plants and strains.
I have no idea what caused it, could be an agglomeration of things: the cold temperatures, high RH, lack of minerals.
No nutrients were added to the reservoir this week the solution is stable. The SE 7000 is set on 55-60% of power.
That's it, I hope to see y'all next week growmies.
Hello to all my GD fam, friends and visitors.
I have not made any photos of this weeks growth, to keep it short basically at this stage I was considering to scrap this grow op because of the bad conditions in the grow room and bad state of my plants.
The only photographs i made that week belong to the fifth plant that I ought to scrap some time ago, but at the end she landed in a separate 60x60cm tent and under the Mars Hydro TS 1000.
I started adding flower nutrients to the reservoir on 16.03. (yes i'm late with updating the journals ;) the EC is 2.4.
That's it, I hope to see y'all next week growmies.
Hello to all my GD fam, friends and visitors.
At this stage the girls are recovering from the cold and moist days, the RH is still high but i got a dehumidifier coming any day now. After all they been through i have to say I'm proud of how though they are :)
The strong SE7000 runs at 60% and about 33cm from the canopy.
From now on i will write how much Watt they use because the dimmer in my SE7000 started to act crazy again ....lats say i set the dimmer at 60% and the wattage usage will swing from 250 to 600 Watt. I have to contact Spider Farmer about it.
No nutrients were added this week but I instaled a ScrOG net.
That's it, I hope to see y'all next week growmies.
Hello to all my GD fam, friends and visitors.
At this stage the girls did recover really well and fast, the RH is still high but i got a dehumidifier coming any day now ;)
The strong SE7000 runs at 460 Watt and about 33cm from the canopy.
I added nutriants at 25.03. the EC is preaty hight at 2.9 EC but its how i like it :) The plants finlly allowed me to perform some LST on them, all goes well.
That's it, I hope to see y'all next week growmies.
Hello to all my friends and visitors here on GD
As you can see on the photographs from this week growth that after the raw cold days, the girls did get better and recovered, but they also spread out in development, the difference is about two to three weeks between the plants...it's manageable though :)
The SE7000 runs at 520 Watt and about 32cm from the canopy.
I added nutriants at 03.04. the EC is at 2.7 EC I also performed some LST on them, all goes well except the dehumidifier will not come for yet another week.
That's it, I hope to see y'all next week growmies.
Hello to all my friends and visitors here on GD
This week the plants look happy :) I added nutrients to the reservoir on 11.04.
All seems stable only the PH goes up a wee bit, so I add PH -- every 3th day or so
Also the ScrOG net was swapped for a better one...the old one was from my old 4x4" tent and i felt like upgrading.
I performed some LST while installing the new ScrOG
The SE7000 runs at 520 Watt and about 32cm from the canopy.
That's it, I hope to see y'all next week growmies.
Hello to all my friends and visitors here on GD
This week the 200W dehumidifier arrived, now that's a game changer finally you will see my RH% droop to the right levels :)
The weather also got warmer so my VPD gets better from now on, now we are at 0,84kPa VPD
The solution in my reservoir is unstable the whole week I needed to lower the PH also the EC does not go down although i did add only CalMag & PK nutrients, a water change is eminent, I will dp it next week ;)
Performed some lollipopping and defoliation...finally we gaining some momentum and luck with this grow :)
I'm really happy with how things lineup for the near future.
The SE7000 runs at 600 Watt and about 33cm from the canopy.
That's it, I hope to see y'all next week growmies.
Good day to all my friends and visitors here on GD
This week of growing we kick off with a fresh water change to which i add nutrients of which the amount ml to liter of solution may seem high but this week I add them at the beginning and the end of the week becouse the plants start to show some deficiencies.
My reservoir and RDWC now hold 120 liter of solution instead of the 140 we had at the beginning because the root ball took a lot os space.
From now on every day we perform casual defoliation and lollipopping. The girls definitely need it.
Finally thanks to the dehumidifier my RH% and VPD are almost on top VPD is at 0.91kPa...it"s only going to get better from now on.
The SE7000 runs at 580 Watt and about 35cm from the canopy.
I'm happy to announce a new cooperation with Spider Farmer. The Spider Farmer team is going to drop us some nice gear for our next growop...can't wait :)
That's it friends, I hope to see y'all next week.
Good day to all my friends and visitors here on GD summer finally came back :)
The Tropicanna XL from Sweet Seeds really started to catch some of that red coloring on the flowers.
My reservoir and RDWC now hold 120 liter of solution instead of the 140 we had at the beginning because the root ball took a lot of space.
To the usual mix of nutrients we add most weeks I'm giving more and more PK 13/14 because of the flower period.
We perform casual defoliation and lollipopping, The girls definitely needed it.
Finally thanks to the dehumidifier my RH% and VPD are on top VPD is at 1.01kPa.
The SE7000 runs at 560 Watt and about 35cm from the canopy and is doing an astounding job.

Now I got a question to you my fellow growers not related to the diaries. Do you mix your different cannabis strains while smoking?
I'm doing it for quite some time now, because the typical Indica variety is to strong for me and puts me fast to sleep.
So I started to mix it either with a CBD or a dominant Sativa strain to keep me away from dozing off at evenings :)
Is there a name for such cannabis mixing ? There needs to be a name for for such a proceeding.
That's it friends, I hope to see y'all next week.
Good day to all my friends and visitors here on GD.
At the end of this week EC is at 3.0 so first thing to do next week there will be reservoir change.
All goes well looks like the big Tropicanna plant is maturing so probably about two more weeks for her....better photographs will come next week.
I spray them every second day with CannaCure or a hydrogen peroxide solution to be safe from the moldy buds.
The SE7000 runs at 550 Watt and about 35cm from the canopy and is doing an astounding job.

That's it friends, I hope to see y'all next week.
Good day to all my friends and visitors here on GD.
The finale grow week for the first Tropicanna XL is there (the one by the wall), she came out just lovely and the smell is mad. I could use it as perfume it's so rich and fruity, never had a plant with such outstanding fragrance.
This week we start of changing the reservoir water to which I decided to add nutrients.
Yes, this plant will not get a flush before harvest, it's the first time i'm not flushing a plant for the cut but you know only two of the four girls are ready to chop and it's not possible in my RDWC to seperate feed them.
So yes it's kind of an experiment for me...some time ago i heard that "man does not need to flush"... yeah I don't really believe what the white coats tell us but then we watched Dr Bruce Bugbee stating the same thing and he quoted experiments performed by his team... I believe him, and I don't really have much choice.
Something's not right with my fresh solution or the plants get root rot or something but the girls starting to show K deficiency...I ended up adding an insane amount of PK through the week...good that the plants are on the finish line :)

After this week end, we will cut the first Tropicanna XL plant:D
Middle this week we changed the reservoir water for a fresh solution.

Good day to all my friends and visitors here on GD.
We harvested one of the Tropicana XL girls , this is going to be a weird entry because I decided to not make a harvest entry till the other one lady finishes.
Unfortunately because of my sticky fingers from all the trimming I did not make many pictures/videos of the grow itsels, to fill this void I decided on including the harvest videos and photographs. Although the final weight will be summed up in the final harvest.
We finally see that our problem with the plants may not a deficiency but overfeed...decided to leave the reservoir as it is for this week and add only fresh water next week we will flush the system and for seven days the girls will only drink water.

Good day to all my friends and visitors here on GD.
Decided to finally finish this diary so that on New Year eve I'm not opening the year with unfinished business.
Now we cut the second Tropicanna XL auto plant, the first cut you can find in week 17. The plant from week 17 weighted 2.6 kilo wet, this one finished at 2.1kg. wet.
The girls where autoflower but thanks to me starting this grow in cold day temps (14 degree Celsius) the started flower really late and grew and grew :)
I enjoyed growing this strain immensely, smells so sweet and fruity, she has the most intense and most delicious aroma ever
She brunches off like crazy, gave me a ton of big and dense bud.
They were the biggest plants I have ever grown and to top that this cultivar rewarded me with one of the most tasteful buds, fit even for a picky connesour.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
SE7000 done it's magic with this grow as with all my other grow ops.
