The growth could be a little better; that’s probably because I haven’t added any nutrients to the watering yet. This time, I’m using a different soil; usually, I’ve used soil from Canna. I wanted to try a different one for this grow; this time, I have soil from Hesi. This soil is pre-fertilized just like the one from Canna. With Canna’s soil, the nutrients last for 4 weeks; with Hesi’s, only 3 weeks. That means I will have to add nutrients during the next watering; maybe my beauties will get a boost from that; we’ll see. The little ones still need a week before I can start with the training. There’s not much to say yet, the little Cookies girl has developed very well so far and looks healthy and lively. I will start training in a week. This week I started adding nutrients. I won’t prolong the vegetative phase too long as I’ve noticed a few issues in the grow room. Therefore, I will only top the plants once and send them into flowering after the rest period. I suspect I have a fungus in the grow room and the fungus gnats are back, so I will keep this run as short as possible so I can completely disinfect and clean everything.

Gruenerfinger85 Hello my friends at Growdiaries. Now the time has come, I switched the light from 18/6 to 12/12 at the end of week 5 of growth. Unfortunately, I'm not completely satisfied with this run so far. I don't know if it's because I didn't add Hesi Root Complex to the watering or if I just got some bad seeds. I think both play a small role. If it were due to not adding the Root Complex, then all the plants would show problems, but they don't. Well, this week I defoliated all the plants and did Low Stress Training on almost all of them. I will administer growth nutrients for one more week, and in the second week of flowering, I will start giving flowering nutrients. As you can see in the pictures, the buds have developed very quickly; it didn't even take 7 days for the little beauties to show up, no, they were there within 4 days. This is the fastest I've experienced in my short growing time so far. We'll see if the nutrient issue will stabilize again. Until then, it's time to drink tea and wait. Gruenerfinger85 Hello Growdiaries Community. The little plants have had a successful week and have completed the early flowering stage. Thanks to the LST training, the buds have developed very well. And I am extremely satisfied with the development of the buds. Unfortunately, I discovered a huge problem with my plants. This problem is quite easy to solve! Namely, by grabbing the affected plants and tossing them out upright. Because I unfortunately had to find out that out of 9 plants, 4 are hermaphrodites. It's really a shame that so many are affected; firstly, all the plants have developed very well, and secondly, a lot of time and dedication has gone into them. Very unfortunate, but this problem can't be changed, except to make the best of it. I also quickly dealt with the plants, without experimenting, as it can backfire quickly if you leave the affected plants with the others and try to cut the bananas off the affected plants. The little remainder of plants I have left will be trained for another week. After that, I will remove the sun sails from the plants so that the energy goes into the formation of the buds. It has been a very nerve-wracking week, and I hope I won't discover any more bananas. I assume that these genetics are very susceptible to any stress. Whether you trained them or if environmental influences play a role, they are very sensitive. Next time, I will have to be more careful with the little beauties. Thank you for your time and interest. Gruenerfinger85 Dear ladies and gentlemen. I warmly welcome you all to my diary page. These lovely little plants have now entered their third week of flowering. After the last two exciting weeks, a bit of calm has arrived in the grow room; after I had to move some plants outside, the room has become noticeably emptier. I will bring all the plants in this room to full bloom and then thoroughly clean the room and install a few new fixtures. With the cleaning, I want to prevent any pollen from settling in any corner and being released when new fresh plants are in the room; that should be avoided. At first, everything went smoothly; I still can't really explain how this could happen. Either one plant pollinated the others, and I didn't notice it in time, or the plants couldn't handle the stress caused by the training and trimming. I have no idea; it doesn't help to dwell on it, so I will look forward and try to pay better attention to such things in the future. I think that's part of dealing with this topic. What I can say for sure is that all of these are great strains that are not affected by this. The Monster Bud Kush is listed with a flowering time of only 56 days, but it doesn't need that long because it is already very far along, just like all the others. I find it a pity that this problem arises just as I'm trying out my new lamp, but I will still have the opportunity to see it in action properly. There are no other problems; the only thing is that all the plants will finish faster than expected, which is welcome in the current situation. I can slowly narrow down which plant belongs to which strain. The good thing is that the Monster Bud Kush has a very short flowering time, making it easier to assign the plants. The flowering period has been relatively calm and consistent, aside from the initial problems I had with pollination. What I know now is that you shouldn't irritate these ladies too much. Otherwise, they can start to act up and begin to hermaphrodite. They also want your full attention; otherwise, they'll get upset. I'm grateful that I could gain this experience and now know what to pay attention to with this strain. The stigma hairs are starting to turn brown, and many trichomes are already cloudy; I've also spotted some amber ones. That's why I'll start flushing from the next watering. This week, you could really see how the buds have gained volume and, with these temperatures, they are also getting thirsty. Starting today, I will begin to flush the medium. The plants might even be ready earlier, at least there are signs of that because many trichomes are already slightly amber, some are glassy, and others are cloudy. I will keep a close eye on the development. I want to harvest the plants when the THC production is at its peak. In addition to my pocket jeweler's loupe, I bought one for my phone. So hopefully, there will be pictures of the trichome heads soon. Right now, I'm having some trouble keeping the temperature under control; it's partly at 32 degrees Celsius, so I have the door open when the lights are on to improve air exchange. I don't know if a fan would help because I think, what's the point if the fan is sucking in warm air from outside to distribute it in the room? On the other hand, if I leave the door open, it gets cooler in the room. Maybe someone can tell me if a fan would help? Otherwise, I'll just try the trick with frozen bottles. Gruenerfinger85 The vegetative phase went well, almost without problems. Unfortunately, four plants couldn't handle the stress and turned hermaphrodite. I immediately removed these plants from the room, but unfortunately, they managed to pollinate a few others. The flowering phase then went without complications. The flowering time was over after 7 weeks, and since the plants were cross-pollinated, they started producing seeds, which made them ready for harvest quickly. The seeds seem to be of good quality, at least they look that way. I collected 71 seeds from both plants. I will try to get them to germinate; let's see what comes of it. Unfortunately, I had to put one of those amazing girls out the door during this grow; my hope for what would come from the hermaphrodite plant #3 was very low. But I had a tiny bit of hope, and that's why I did some research and sent this amazing strain back into the vegetative period. Since I had nothing to lose, I gave it a try. Now I can happily report that I was successful. Pictures will follow, unfortunately, I haven't taken any yet. I just wanted to let you know first and at least complete the entry. Gruenerfinger85 Hello my plant friends. The plants are doing better than ever, they are bursting with strength and vitality. They seem very happy where they are. The only thing that worries me a little is that it has been raining continuously for 2 weeks, and there is very little sunshine. As you can see in the pictures, the plants are back in bloom, the first pistils are clearly visible. Since the plants have been outside, I haven't given any nutrients. This week, I only did a little defoliation, nothing more, and I checked the plants for pollen sacs, but so far I haven't been able to spot any. It looks like the plant has stabilized itself.
