Starting another one of my favorites, blue dream. This will replace the super silver haze I’ll be harvesting soon in one of my tents. Same setup, punch bowl of soil on the top of a net pot of expanded clay. With some burlap on between separating the two “zones”
So originally I was going to do a scrog on this baby, but I recently looked up main lining, and I’m a little extra so I don’t know if it’s still considered main lining but I cut all the heads at each third node and removed all growth before them. Maybe I should do a scrog as well, maybe some advice in the comments would help me figure it out, probably be good either way lol
She’s doing great this week, really responded well to being topped and trained, so she has 8 main colas on the outside and then I’m training the smaller lower branches to fill in the middle, for another 6-8 smaller heads. I’m wicked excited to see how this turns out, if it goes as well as I think then I’ll probably start main lining the correct way from the start on my next grow.
Just flipped the lights after a 24 hour dark period, have the light on 13 hours, removed the main fan leaves 7-28, can’t wait to see how she forms with 8 main colas on her then 6 smaller ones filling in the center
This week she’s really started to stretch. She’s got some beautiful new growth. Started spraying her with some bloom khaos, we’ll see if it makes a noticeable difference. Other than that just a light feed once or twice a week, and the fishies are taking care of the rest.
So….. I heard this strain stretches…. But holy shit does she stretch, I’ve tried everything I can think to keep her down but she’s maxing out the tent. Still foliage feeding some bloom khaos a couple times a week. And watering a couple times a week as well. Next time I’ll flip the lights a bit earlier. Defoliated pretty much the bottom half of the plant little by little this week, and tried to train down some of the canopy.
Man, I don’t think I’ll be doing this indoors again unless I start it flowering while it’s still super small cause the stretch is real on this strain lol probably great outdoors. Removed pretty much the lower half, just focusing on the tops, plus not much light getting to the bottom cause she grew so tall. It’s look great though, smells like the silver haze, and that was goooood shizzit, only got a couple nugs left of that, so I can’t wait for this.
A little fox tailing on the biggest bud, had to tie it down multiple directions to keep the branches shorter and built a spacer to raise the tent to get the light further away. Shit is crazy tall!
Man, this strain s-t-r-e-t-c-h-e-s out. Where to begin with this one, first, holy shit she just keeps goin, so she grew right into the lights so I kept turning the lights down, had the ts1000 at about 50% and tried everything I could to keep her shorter. Went away the first time and she burned a number of leaves crispy, and she’s foxtailing like crazy from being too close to the lights, so I finally decided to remove the shelf over the tent, and managed to assemble an extension around the base with one hand while holding up the tent with the other hand, and. Is she has a bunch of new growth coming out of the foxtailing heads, witch looks really weird lol, also with all of the recent humidity the biggest bud (of course) got some mold in it so I removed that asap, so that sucks, not exactly the best grow this time on this, next time I’ll be a little more ready, and perhaps I’ll do a scrog grow with it, maybe that would have been better. Either way it’s cool just enjoying trying different things, and I’ll still get a bunch of nice nugs!!
This one I will do again, but maybe start her a little smaller, or do a scrog, something to keep her short, had some pretty good buds, but I lost a bit due to some mold. The humidity lately has been off of the charts, that’s why I also decided to do a wet trim in her this time, hopefully that’ll keep any other mold at bay. Wish it was purple like in the pictures when I bought the seeds, it I’ve heard that 1. They won’t necessarily turn color every time, and 2. Colder nights help to bring out different colors. So we’ll see what happens on the next grow and I’ll be back when they dry! Happy growing!
