Germination
Began germination in 3 shot glasses after 24 hours moved the seeds to wet paper towel and left them in a ziplock back. A few days later 3 out of the 4 seeds germinated. I’ll be growing a hybrid, sativa, and Indica (didn’t think it thru at the start lack of knowledge)

The initial first week was pretty bad. My setup wasn’t complete and because of it my tent saw temps as low as 60F and as high as 106F was clocked on my thermostat

This week was just me fine tuning the environment and lights. Idk what happened to critical he’s stunted with leaves half wilted half not. They feel moist to the touch and the new top that’s growing looks fine. The other two are thriving. Watered once with h2o2 water. I’ll leave critical alone and see what happens, if it’s not growing much I might mainline it early just for science and if not I’ll throw an auto strain in and experiment with that.

1. Critical looking a lot better as soon as he seems stable I’ll lollipop him cause he’s got a lot of half dead leafage going on. As small as he is he’s got 3 nodes like the rest. 2. Plants seem happy but I did forget to turn on humidifier, was going to add nutes today but the plants are looking good so I’m not going to. 3. Added soil to the pots cause plants don’t seem stable at all so I won’t be able to train them. I did it now because I didn’t wanna stun the plants by doing it too early. Also started dechlorinating my folio+substrate spray 4. Folio sprayed. 5. Added nutes ladies looking sad but first nutes feeding ( FloraMicro, TPS silica. Epsom salt, microbe life photosynthesis plus) 6. There’s yellowing on the edges of the leaves in critical and cookies and I can’t figure out why, I think I’m going very light on watering even for week 3 7. Folio and substrate sprayed at light off

Week 4 Veg Goals: Transplant, top or try fimming, some lst, get flora bloom, get a better fan, some insect repellent, and get TPS signal. Notes : Pussied out on fimming, topping was already uncomfortable as is. 1. Folio and substrate sprayed early in the morning. Stripped lower dead leaves on critical. Cleaned tent and the light leds. 2. Plants fed. Realized h2o2 kills all bacteria good and bad so RIP dyno myco and photosynthesis plus. I’ll stop adding h2o2 to feed at this point and just use it as light substrate spray. Topped both mimosa and cookies wanted to top 2 nodes down, but went with one. 3. Folio spray in the morning. Got flora bloom from Ace at $16 and a Home Depot 6” clip-on fan at $10. Raised my intake fan speed to about 25%. 4. Watered mimosa and cookies I’m guessing since they got topped and got their first dose of silica they’re up taking nutes like crazy (2 days without watering) Folio sprayed. 5. Transplant day. Both mimosa and cookies were transplanted using dyno myco with photosynthesis plus as substrate spray. 6. Did some lst. 7. Lst and lowered humidity to 60. End-of-week : Critical’s catching up, but still looks a bit sorry. Cookies is so bushy I can barely get in there for lst, but she slowed down with vertical growth, noticeable growth stun from topping and transplanting judging by the size of the stem. Mimosa brushed off topping and transplanting and kept getting bigger.

Week 5 Veg Goals : still need to figure out an insect repellent, also get a garbage can for bottom feeding. 1. Feeding 1 gallon split between the 3 plants 4ml micro, 2 ml bloom, 2ml silica, 10 ml photo plus, 1/2 tbsp epsom salt. 2. Lst mimosa and cookies 3. Plants fed, lst, folio, adjusted the lights ppfd @ 400. 4. Topped critical and defolio some leaves on cookies and mimosa 5. Just did some lst 6. Fed 1 gallon with 5ml micro , 3ml bloom, 2ml silica, 10ml photo plus, 1/2 tbsp Epsom salt. Measured run off ph it was low @5.4-5.8. Gonna flush next watering with ph 6.8 7. Lst and folio spray End of week : I feel like mimosa’s doing fine but cookies and critical aren’t as much. Wasn’t too mentally invested this week and just went thru the motions. Also need to square away my ph and ppm cause I think that’s my problem with critical and the others too most likely not growing right because of bad ph.

1. Flushed plants with just water ph 6.9, run off still low at 6.0 2. Lst with some bending, folio spray. 3. Pinch and bend mimosa, just did some bending on cookies and removed a few leaves. 4. Lst was gonna feed but decided not too 5. Looking very hungry fed mimosa and cookies together and critical separately with 1/2 dose of nutes. Cookies and mimosa feed : 5 ml micro 3 ml bloom 2 ml silica 1/2 tbsp Epsom salt 6ml photosynthesis plus.Critical feed: 3 ml micro 1 ml bloom 2 ml silica 6ml photosynthesis plus 1 tsp Epsom salt. Cookies input : ph 7 ppm 1350. Runoff : ph 6.3 ppm 3760. Mimosa input : ph 7 ppm 1350. Runoff : ph 6.5 ppm 2170. Critical input : ph 7 ppm 1380. Runoff ph 6.4 ppm 1300. Critical is showing signs of N deficiency. Night time did a little hst.

1. Transplant and fed critical, barely had a root ball and the roots looked almost clear-like. Ran out of happy frog so mixed with miracle gro… not having high hopes for crit 2. Nothing happened 3. Watered same way as week 6 all plants 4. Nothing happened 5. Critical showing signs of mag deficiency so I watered it with just 1 tbs of Epsom salt. 6. Removed most of the large bottom leaves on both mimosa and cookies 7. Fed all 3 in the morning. Fixed lst wires and pinch+bend cookies.

Notes : badly need a dehumidifier RH peaking at 80. 1. Sprayed folio and soil with h2o2, paranoid about pests. Dunked mimosa and cookies with same feed amounts as before. For dunking used 4 gals of water in a 20 gal bucket. Was enough for 2 plants but gonna use 5 gals when feeding 3 otherwise, I think, water won’t reach higher root mass. Fed critical 2 ml micro 1 ml bloom 1 tbs Epsom salt and 6 ml photo plus. I guess what I thought was a N deficiency turned out to be mag? Still lowering N a bit. Adjusted lights to 500 ppfd, critical is getting around 350. Was thinking of switching to flowering this week but ima let critical catch up just a bit. 2. Sprayed folio, defolio and removed small grow sites. Lst 3. So my plan is to stretch out mimosa horizontally as much as I can to let critical grow out some more. I’m literally crushing stems to keep mimosa down but she recovers too quickly. So I just tied down all main stems to the pots for both mimosa and cookies. I’m not trying to mess with them much anymore in terms of stress. 4. Fed critical 1/4 gallon, critical seems dry every other day, giving her small amounts but often. Folio sprayed and turned fan speed up to 75% 5. Feeding day. Started with critical ph input was 6.4 the output tho was 4.8 with like 4k ppm wtf is going on ? Must be that miracle gro bs soil, it says it’s moisture control whatever the fuck that means. Flushed with 9.3 ph 1 gallon 1 tbs epsom, runoff was 6.4 ph 2k ppm. Flushed again with 6.4 ph and 1 tbs epsom and runoff went back to 4.8 wtf? Then did a 1/2 gallon flush with 9.3 ph to see if it will go back up to 6.4 runoff but it didn’t runoff stayed at 4.8… I’ll wait and see how the plant reacts. Mimosa got 1 gallon 6 ml micro 3 ml bloom 2 ml silica 1 tbs epsom. Cookies got nothing it’s looking good as it is. 6. Let the plants rest cookies still looks good so won’t feed. 7. Fed critical and cookies. Cookies runoff 6.2 and 3k ppm. Cleaned tent out and set timer for flowering. End of week : Not much to say going into flowering, need a dehumidifier. Realized organic might be the way to go as much fun as it is to play “scientist” with chems it’s really unnecessary and just creates extra work and risk. I feel like unless you have to use synthetic nutes like in a hydro then go for it, otherwise just use organic stuff like living soil and just amend with dry organic nutes.

Been noticing wet spots on my leaves almost like a slug went thru but it’s not slimy, didn’t leave residue and dissipated fast. My Rh was relatively high that day and right after a feeding in the morning, is this the result of plant “perspiring” or something else? Thanks

leaves overlapping will do that. if you have a breeze, no problem as it dries fast. otherwise, de-congest so you don't have standing water lingering. bend or remove. always prefer to keep them.

Week 9 flowering 1. Noticed small “rust” spots on mimosa calcium deficiency I think, was kinda worried about that but micro has calcium I guess not enough for a big plant. 2. Fed mimosa 5 ml micro 4 ml bloom 2 ml silica 2 ml signal 1 tbs salt 3. Didn’t do much 4. Gave critical some feed 5. Let them rest and finalized the light schedule. Doing 8am to 8 pm on. 6. Dunked all plants to bottom feed with 6 ml mico 4 ml bloom 4 ml silica 4 ml signal 1 tbs Epsom salt. Also removed smaller less developed growth sites and stems or clones. Then planted them outside without adding honey or anything just to see what happens…. and to assert my dominance in my shitty community xD 7. Removed some leaves. End of week : humidity is high going from 70 to 80. Yeah that’s it not pushing my luck buying a dehumidifier, also I’m starting to see little brown bastards flying around AND need to make sure there’s no light leaking into the tent.

Plants don’t look good… and this is where I stop giving a fuck. 13 weeks… nah. I’m growing tiny shits in a corner…. I’ve put less work on finessing bitches than these plants, whatever comes out it is what it is…. Just gonna use living soil and water once in a while on next “auto” run fuck that 3 months bullshit… I’ll wait 3 months for 3 pounds not this. Basically grow photos outside and grow autos inside. I’ve lost branches and major stems…. Dehumidifier ain’t hacking it cause east coast decided to act like it’s fall… my clone that I experimented on is growing fine OUTSIDE I didn’t even do nutn just poked him in the dirt and waved him good luck… maybe I’m over reacting and my plants just looking limp cause they going into their dying phase or maybe it’s not working out cause my dumbass bought 3 different strains that grow in different climates I’ll never know. In summary: grow autos with live soil inside or grow photos if ur growing outside with plenty of space

Not that committed, again can’t stress enough the fact that 1 don’t grow different strains all at once 2 fuck photos if you’re growing inside and tight on space 3 fuck chemicals if ur not doing dwc 4 don’t grow if you don’t put ur heart in it 5 don’t… be… a tattletale and respect your peanuts

Worried about bud rot and trying to keep humidity as low as possible. Everyone gets their own nutes with mimosa needing the most. Going to start flushing next week with signal. Gelato cookies and critical are looking pretty tiny compared to mimosa.

Mimosa building up buds and starting to lean, the other two have smaller bud sites and critical seems to have taken over cookies. Half way through the week I started flushing. According to RQS these genetics flower for about 7-10 weeks so it’s about that time. Got a jewelers loupe and checking the trichomes daily. Also did 1 last defolio due to humidity

Plants are budding up and even tho it’s not perfect I’m still happy with the grow. It taught me a lot. One more week to go, cookies is stunted hard idk what happened to her at some point after transplant she just didn’t intake water, her pot always felt heavier than the others on feed days. Critical over came its critical condition and even tho it’s stem size is on par with an ants dick, it’s now taller and fatter than cookies gelato. And mimosa is just a tank, I did a lot of naughty things to her and she just kept growing so yeah… genetics at work there.

Growing - super easy especially for first time, started slow (maybe because of cold temps) but when it picked up you really see the plant grow and gain size every morning… good feels right there Terpes profile - sharp citrus especially comes out at the end of drying, it turned hay-ish during “curing”but I’m sure that’s all me not storing properly. Hay smell/taste disperses the longer it sits. Effect - personally I felt “blissfully” dumb as fuck, taking what felt like 15 minutes to remember what I was doing and another 30 to remember what I needed to do. Good times right there. But all in all you don’t get couch locked instead you actually wanna do shit

I’m doing injustice to RQS by not even mentioning anything about this cultivar. This plant was my favorite at start and received extra effort and attention which turned out to be detrimental. So she was my smallest yield and ironically my favorite smoke. Poor girl had the smallest buds but tried hard to overcome my torture methods xD. She wasn’t the smelliest but definitely most potent. The high was comforting, almost like having a wild night out with mimosa and critical but still coming home to cookies gelato xD. Oh and the combination of terps ranging from sugar sweets, semi-sweet citrus and balancing earthiness tastes chocolaty / coffeeish to me.

Underdog story my homie critical ( yea it’s a dude not every feminized plant need a female call sign it’s over played get some children xD) didn’t start out good but finished better than cookies gelato. Smoke and smell is earthy and feels very natural, even when smoking I don’t wanna cough up my lung and the effect is serene feels like some turned up the brightness when the sun is out. I’d call it a hippie high and would pop again * Edit * Gotta throw this out there, it’s not that potent with 18% THC being 60/40 indica iirc, it truly puts rose colored glasses on you without knocking you, best effects I felt is when you’re coming home after work, or walking your dog to put yourself into that that relaxed mood without knocking you out. Good flavors but a niche high

@Mosquito_Haarlem, Thanks bro, any advice on leaning seedlings? I’ve forgot my myco when I planted the seeds so I carefully excavated them and replanted. I guess I replanted them too shallow they all popped out with helmet head and because of it really stretchy. Now cookies gelato doing a “lean back”

Hey brother I struggle with same rh issue in flower on the east coast. I learned to time it so my plants are never in flower in July or August. I try to start a run in March and harvest in late may to early June and then start another run in mid August and harvest in Nov or December if I'm running photos. Heat and high rh suck in flower especially if your running more powerful lights that put out additional heat. A 200w light is also not enough for a 3x3 tent in flower imo. I run an 880 watt in a 5x5 and its perfect. Good luck!
GeneT
GeneTcommented2 years ago
@Canna96, great info thx man, yeah ima try not to be in flower during July and august. Sucks to hear about my light thought it’d be enough since that’s how they commercialized them. I’ve panicked prematurely lol gotta stop drinking and posting xD. Im thinking of bringing the tent inside the house from my garage for the last few weeks of flower.
Monketh
Monkethcommentedweek 82 years ago
Rh can be lowered by introducing an intake as well as leaving ur exhaust high. If u dont have an intake try leaving a flap open with a fan pointed at it. No smell early, moist is manageable with good airflow. Am new to this but had similar issues. Good luck!
GeneT
GeneTcommented2 years ago
@Monketh, First of all thanks for your sound advice brutha your right and I think I figured out my problem. I do leave my flaps open every morning after lights on but my fan isn’t near the flaps. Also I’m growing in my garage so I don’t get the benefit of my house hvac unit. It worked awesome during the colder periods cause all I needed was a heater but now with the change in temps and humidity it’s almost like it’s getting a greenhouse effect with the tent producing most of it. Basically my intake takes from the garage and my exhaust gives back to the garage and I’ve got a green house effect going on. I’ll try exhausting into the framework of the house.
