This seed was gifted from Growing Granny. Such a sweet women and a hell of a grower. Seed Mafia 1 of 2 seeds popped.
5/2 This seed broke ground faster then any other I grew. Put her in a peat pod, the expandable. She broke ground in 24 hours and the shell fell right off.
This plant is going to be a 1 gallon wonder. I wonder how she will grow in a 1 gallon. I don't want to crowd my grow space. So going to try to keep her smaller, plus it's cheese. Not sure I want a lot of bud that tastes like cheese.
However I do look forward to trying it. Not sure how Seed Mafia genetics are. I have seen the name around but that's about it. Hear the cheese strain is pungent and I do like the sound of that.
Probably going to use a liquid fertilizer on this run. Grow Big, Big Grow, Tiger bloom, liquid kelp, great white. Maybe a few others will see. She will need to be watered more often. So may feed her light but more often.
5/7 moving along average pace.
She is on her way. Not much else to say.
5/15 She has her first true leaves, so going to say she is in veg. She seems to be a very happy plant. For now that is, at some point she is going to realize she is in a 1 gallon fabric pot. I will do some lst in a couple weeks. Going to try and keep her branches to a few.
5/18 she is growing well and has good color. She had her first feeding today. She is growing in a 1 gallon pot. Will do some light lst when she is ready.
Not going to try to get a dozen colas, just a few should do it. I have been bending them over when I see the 3rd node. This time I'm going to wait a little longer before I do any training.
5/28 I tied her down once and she wiggled her way out. So I didn't bother tying her back down. Tomorrow I may give her a little bend. She is in a 1 gallon and don't want to many colas.
Hoping to get a few really nice buds. This is the longest I have let a plant go without some kind of training. Going to try and put a clip on her towards the top. Going to hit her up with some blooming nutes, she is not that far away from flower.
5/29 So I was thinking, why bend the plant, when I can just lay the pot over. Again she is in a 1 gallon. Watering will be easy enough, just lay her right side up.
I want to try and keep the pot on its side now. Have to figure out how to keep the soil in. I will just keep the top held down the best I can.
Clipped a couple of leaves, tucked some. Also pulled a couple of branches toward the light.
Forgot to feed her today. It's late so will feed her well tomorrow. She has been spending most of her day outside. Then another 4 or 5 hours under the light.
Rainy and cloudy days she stays inside. The past 2 weeks the sky has been completely clear. Weird no clouds or just a few very thin ones. Think there was 2 rain days.
5/30 her pot has been on its sides a couple days and her branches are taking off. Plucked a few leaves so all the sites are getting light. She appears to be starting to flower.
6/1 she is in flower. Gave her a feeding yesterday.
6/2 she is starting to fill out and has good color. She is a stinky little plant. Someone told me cheese is really skunk#1 that the name was changed in England to cheese.
6/5 she is moving along. She is not very tall but her buds are getting thick fast.
6/16 she looks like 1 big bud. I actually like growing in 1 gallon pot. She is very east to manage and does not take up a lot of room.
I do like a verity of bud. So getting a half to a full ounce I'm fine with. Last year grew a Banner and got 7 or 8 ounces from her. Way too much bud for me. I had to give away a few ounces and still have 1 left.
Other than that, she is a stinky little plant. Not sure if it smells of actual cheese. My next post I will give the exact number of days old she is. Think she is about 40 days old.
6/19 and she looks to be growing well. She might have a little fox tailing, so I held back on nitrogen this week. Went with straight Beasti Bloom and recharge.
So far I like growing in a 1 gallon. I don't need several ounces of 1 strain. Half to a whole z is fine with me. She is a 65 to 70 day strain. So that gives her 22 to 27 days left, 3 or 4 weeks.
She looks like a small dense Christmas tree and she sure does smell. This has been such an easy grow. She has no fading leaves, so I assume she has been getting enough nuits.
6/21 she just keeps getting fatter.
6/25 she is growing well for a 1 gallon. Somewhat hoping she hurries. I have my next popped. This 1 is fattening up nice. She looks like she will give my the amount I'm looking to get. Half to a whole.
6/30 the main bud is nice and thick. The buds are foxtailing heavily. The smell is very strong, hard to explain.
I don't think it smells like cheese, I like the smell. I like very pungent, loud bud. Much stronger smell on the cheese than Skywalker I'm finishing.
Wonder if I gave her too much Beasti Bloom P.K now she is foxtailing. Didn't think I went crazy with the feeding. I didn't keep track of the feeding on this 1. I only fed the plant a few time.
7/1 she is almost ready. Her tricombs appear to cloudy. As soon as i see some amber i will take her. I have a photo waiting for the light.
I really like how pungent this plant is. This plant was part of my first run indoors under a light.
I was not sure if I would have had enough room for 2 autoflowers under the light. Now i think there would have been enough room for both autoflowers in 5 gallon pots. Well now I know.
7/7 this little lady is just about done. All her tricombs are cloudy. My last plant I took as soon as I saw a few amber. This girl I'm going to keep growing until she is about 20 percent amber. See which I like better.
Probably more towards night strain. I tried it during the day, towards the end I was tired. Have to say I really enjoyed the buzz. First 30 minutes there was some anxiety. Once the anxiety went away i really enjoyed the high.
Dried in 8 or 9 days and of course i had to try some before the cure. Scale shows 23 grams, that is after smoking some. The bud has a very strong smell and taste, which i like very much. Still an auto, as far as they have come with autos. I do think photos are the way to go. The buds are a little airy, but there is very little leaf. This plant was grown in a 1 gallon pot. I netted just under 1 ounce 26 grams, which is fine for me. Im not a big smoker. Going to give edibles a try. Cheese is a pheno of skunk. Can not believe cheese made it but that heavenly skunk is gone. Great buzz from the cheese, so i am happy about that
