Germination
Germination stage was kicked off fairly quick. After 1 complete day the seeds had cracked and produced small tap roots. The very next day(April 27th which was a Wednesday) I planted about an inch - inch and a half into the soil. A few days later (Saturday morning April 30th) the Lemon Shining Silver Haze was the first to come above soil. Bluematic came up later in the day/evening.

First week up out of the soil. Started developing pretty quick out the gates. I have my light a foot and a half away and the intensity set to 50%. Lightly watering the soil with PH’d to 6.5 Distilled water.

Was surprised to see the fourth set of leaves come through already. This is my first indoor grow as well as Autoflower grow. So far so good I must say. We are technically on day 13 since the seeds were put into the paper towel; but Mondays are when I’ll be doing my reporting in the gd. Looking forward to week 3 already!

Past week we saw a lot of growth just based on the picture comparison from last week. On Day 18 I noticed a couple small brown spots on the Royal Bluematic. Immediately started researching and during process of elimination I’m thinking they are a result of a Calcium deficiency(I’ve been watering this past week with a gallon of PH’d distilled water with no supplements so I’m assuming they are getting sufficient Calcium as a result. So I ordered Bush Doctor Cal-Mag from FF. Should deliver this morning. I’m going to add a half dosage to my gallon of dechlorinated tap water and see if that helps these girls out some.

Week 4 in the books. Started week 5 with our weekly feeding which included Bushdoctors Cal-Mag as well as some added Molasses to the mix then PH’d to about 6.3. Over this past week we saw a few inches added to the height of both plants ; but most of the growth has been in the branches/ new cola’s that are stretching upward. I really haven’t full blown committed to LST. I normally tie them down before bed the undo them in the morning. I’ve never grown Auto’s so I didn’t want to over stress and not yield as much doing so. No new brown spots outside of the couple that showed up last week. All the leaves have a nice color to them outside of the couple pedals that have a couple spots. On to week 5!

Saw the very first white hair’s come out around day 31. The Royal Bluematic is starting to stretch out. I started to adjust the RH and temp to accommodate the upcoming flowering stage. Still low stress training. Fed the fist round of Bud Candy mix as well as molasses and a half dose of Cal-Mag 1 gal of ph 6.4 water 8ML of Bud Candy 5 ML of Molasses 2.5 ML of Bush Doctor Cal Mag I mixed the nutrients and after a good few shakes, i re ph'd the water bak to 6.3-6.5 I also dressed my soil with a heaping 1/4 cup of Happy Frog Fruit and Flower and mixed it into the top 2 inches of the soil.

Week 6 in the books. Definitely noticed the early flower stretch on the Royal Bluematic. Grew 5 inches. Also starting to see more hairs come through. Fed the plant some nutrients on day 41 as well as filled the auto watering pots a gallon of just PH’d water. Last week we filled them up three times. Day 35, day 38 and on day 40

Saw some decent stretching this past week. Went from 18” to 23”. Flowers are getting more growth so I’d imagine I won’t see much more stretching with the Royal Bluematic. Leaving for f vacation but luckily my sister will be able to come in and fill the auto watering pots as needed. Pretty much every 2 days they need a refill. Today I filled them up as well as top fed them a half gallon with the nutrients mixed in. I come back Sunday night so I’ll be looking forward to tearing their progression over the next 5-1/2 days I’m out of town.

Came back into town and definitely noticed some stretching. They grew 6” since last Monday night prior to me heading out of town. Luckily I had someone that could water a few times while I was away. The bud sites are starting to take shape. Looking forward to the next few weeks of development. I went ahead and added a 1/4 cup of Happy Frog fruit and flower. I figured it’s almost been a month and I did a half serving on the first feed so a little more 4 weeks later shouldn’t hurt 🤞 hopefully my “less is more” approach doesn’t hurt the yield that much. With this being my first indoor grow I didn’t want to over think the feeding until I get somewhat dialed in. Cheers to another week! Happy to be back home with them

Noticing the leaves are getting a light green. Leaves aren’t necessarily drooping but there is some slight tip burn on them. I haven’t been giving them full servings when feeding them nutes once a week just to be safe from burning them out.

Ya you're lacking nutrients, give them a full feed, they definitely need nitrogen that's for sure...Wait a week after feeding and you should see them green up...

Definitely saw some bounce back with the color of the foliage getting back to a proper/darker shade of green. Feeding both the Tiger bloom 10ML/Gal and FF Grow Big 10ml/Gal really did the trick. I believe 29” will be as tall as the Royal Bluematic gets for me. My 10+ potential colas are all looking great so far with the main cola being the tallest/largest. Starting to smell a sweet smell coming from the bud sites. Getting excited! So far my experience with the Royal Queen seeds shad been a great one! The plant I have next to it is a lemon shining x silver haze from them as wellthat I just switched the lights to 12/12 for. I was being greedy this first run and wanted to have two different strains to smoke on but moving forward I will only do 1 plant so I can get the most out of each seed I buy/germinate. Considering adding another 3x3 tent somewhere down the line but that probably won’t be until next year. -Toney

Day 62 on my autoflower and I’m curious as to when I should give my last feeding and start the flushing process? I’d like to say I’m 4 weeks into flowering. Also, any pointers as to flushing would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

flushing for good reason? or just end of harvest? end of harvest is an old wive's tale that was repeated ad nauseum yet never tested for accuracy. Applying the scientific method we've found that flushing does nothign to teh mineral content of flower, therefore you don't have "extra nutes" in your buds, that's total nonsense bullshit beyond a doubt. blind taste tests also show ppl cannnot distinguish between flushed and non-flushed. This is just another decades old bro-science myth. often repeated by popular growers that do grow great plants, but has nothign to do with flushing. it's just some sophistry they built up in their heads despite the fact it was never backed up with any evidence... and when someoen did look into it, it was clearly bullshit LOL.

Not sure if I notice anything new. Hopefully we start to see the buds thicken up some more. Couldn’t be much more than a couple weeks left prior to harvest. Just fed a less than full dosage of sledgehammer on the top soil and ph’d water filled in the auto water stand. Squeezing a few of the smaller bud sights and there is a noticeable sweet smell to them. On to week 12! Final countdown is almost here. Wednesday Day 78) decided to buy some cha Ching since that seems to be a good addition towards the later part of the flowering stage. Did a 1/4 tsp of that as well as 3 tsp of Bembé.

Starting to see some filling out for the Royal Bluematic. Nice sweet smell coming from the buds. Not too strong but thats okay with me. The Lemon Shining Silver Haze has a nice lemon/citrus smell coming from the bud sights. For 11 days in I’d say she’s rocking and rolling. I clipped a trimming last week that I will try and keep alive for a clone since I now have all the supplies needed in order to do so 🙌🏻🤞

Keeping an eye on the trichomes. Still a lot of clear ones on the royal blumatic. All in all happy with their progress. Kinda have a feeling we’ll go to week 15-16. We’ll see how the next week goes. The lemon shining silver Haze is looking really nice. Covered in trichomes. Smell is definitely a little louder than theRB. The buds are tighter I’m noticing too. With how much they stretched at the beginning of flowering I’m almost certain I’ll need to bring the trellis back out or tie the branches down. I see those buds getting pretty heavy too. Not as many bud sites as the RB but that’s only because I didn’t stress it as much early on. Kinda also ran out of room. Looking good for the first grow indoors! First grow in 8 years too btw.

Buds are looking great! Little more purple on the Bluematic which is a surprise but happy with how they’re turning out. The Lemon SS Haze has caught up with the RB. All the buds are very dense and very frosty! Strong I’m thinking sometime this weekend they might even be ready to chop down as I notice most of the trichomes are cloudy on both plants

nonick123
nonick123commented2 years ago

@nonick123, thank you for your knowledge my good sir. I noticed a little nutrient burn last week with the leaf tips showing signs of burn. So this week I took it back a step. I honestly feel like it’ll be longer than two weeks as well. I’ll see how they react to this weeks flush and possibly get back on the nutrients this weekends feeding
