Pineapple Chunk - DWC

So far so good, happy that this one free seed from Barney’s germinated. Read some nice things about the plant and am super excited to try my DIY DWC.

Hey growmies, The plants is going fine so far. A big taller then the autos I planted on the same day. She has been moved into her final net pot filled with a big 10x10x7 cm rockwool cube and some smaller cubes covered with clay pebbles against algae growth. I think in a weeks time or max 2, she will be moved into the big tent, with the DWC, which is still passing quality control, as I don’t want 30-40l leaking into my tent.

Hi guys, it doesn’t look to good for her, super stunned mutated growth. She and another diary did that, the others the auto blue mazar I’ll keep for the contest. This one will sooner or later make space for another big photo to ScrOG. Very sad, as I was actually saving that freebie for a nice ScrOG. Any ways what to do. I’ll keep this diary updated until she is replaced, who knows maybe she will make a miraculous recovery…..❤️‍

Hi Guys, she seems to recover the slowest of the three plants I damaged in the seedling stage. I decided however to still give her a chance, as the root development looks promising. I have also transplanted her onto the DWC in the big tent. As I don’t have a dimmer for my sanlight, I have increased the lamp height to 65 cm above the canopy, so that she can slowly accustom to the light intensity. Nutrients remained the same.

Hi growmies, Not really sure what to do with this one, she is soo tiny, however seems to have everything she needs to become a great plant; an expanding healthy root system, and all leaves and branches seem to be there, but this plant won’t stretch for f.sake. Otherwise she is looking super healthy and lush. Have increased the light distance slightly to see if that will provoke a bit more stretch.

Hi Guys, I should probably change the title and remove the ScrOG part, as She just won’t stretch… her root system keeps expanding and expanding, however the top doesn’t reflect that. Anyways, she looks healthy and very stubby. She is already getting pre flower nutes and will be flipped next week. She got a nice defoliation, to prep her for flower, which revealed quite a few nice main colas and maybe she will start stretching a little during flower. I am contemplating to change the system a little and add aeroponics to it, in an attempt to save some water and nutes, if anybody would like to comment, any tips would be highly appreciated.

Hi growmies, The plant is still growing very slow up top, however is super sturdy and thick. She was defoliated and all unpromising shoots were removed. At the end of the week she was flipped into flower. Hoping she will turn into a thick bushy indica ;)

Hi growmies, The only plant that kind of almost strived during the heat we experienced while I was traveling. She keeps on developing an amazing root system and finally started to stretch since I flipped her a week ago.I have tide her down quite a bit and have remove a lot of the inner foliage, as well the unpromising shoots in the lower canopy. As of now, I am counting around twenty promising looking colas, which should fill the tent nicely. Depending on her continuing stretch I might ScrOG her, but hope that won’t be necessary at her current size.

Hi Growmies, My apologies for the delayed update, but work life balance got a bit out of wack recently. Anyways, water was changed on time and general maintenance took place. Continued with very light defoliation to really guarantee that all the shoots get equal light exposure. She is turning out to be a real beauty and literally no Scr.O.G was necessary due to her natural structure. Buds are already forming very compact and dense to touch, something that’s always a good sign ;) Since this is my first proper DWC grow I am actually quite impressed by the root growth and the resulting nutrient uptake, as well as vigor in plant growth. Is it btw just me or is this website getting slower, buggier and laggier by the day? Videos won’t upload, weeks don’t reflect, diaries won’t update….

Hi growmies, this one turned out to be my favourite of the current grows, she is growing so symmetrical without almost any training. I have defoliated her over the time quite a bit, which gives all the colas effect light exposure. Currently the buds are still stretching up the colas so I will hold off the PK for a little until she goes into swelling mode, which should be in a week or two. She has almost no smell to her , but when you touch her the fruity terpenes are already there.

Hi Growmies, She is bones and buds, all of them are rock hard, the nuggets itself stopped stretching and I therefore added some PK13/14 to induce and support swelling and later on the ripening . I got my hands on a sample of Rockzbastic from Atami, any thoughts, as this could be fed week 5-6 of flower, so I was thinking of adding it next week. Other than that are the expectations super high as of now. Guesstimate would be roughly 3-4 weeks to harvest.

Hi growmies, unfortunately I skipped a day checking on the reservoir and the plant must have consumed a lot more water than expected, probably due to the heat we are experiencing where I live, since I realized tip burn getting worse everywhere I checked the ec, which was close to 3 😳, topped up with RO water right away and this seems to have stopped it. Other than that I don’t think it bothered the plant too much either, as she keeps on swelling bigger and bigger. A&B fertilizer was reduced already and once, either next week or the one after I’ll start flushing, depending on the stage of ripening.

Hey Growmies, no major developments other then her continued swelling and ripening. Luckily I don’t have neighbors, as she has a very pungent fruity smell to her, the buds are out of this world, something i have so far only been able to achieve with Barney’s genetics. She was very thirsty this week, finishing around 5l daily. Coming week I will initiate the flush with some cannazym and ph balanced RO water.

Hi Growmies, This was her last week, as she was cut down roughly an hour ago;) I fed her cannazym and booster for good five days and then changed the reservoir to RO water. As the fading came too close to the sugar leaves and based on all milky trichomes, just turning amber, I decided to chop her.

Shout out to Barney’s, freaking love their genetics! Harvest will be plentiful of super quality bud. Something I this far have only achieved with their genetics.
