This week I brought another two waves of plants outside. No there is eight plants outside in two different areas. I still have another eight plants in my greenhouse acclimated for their next step that is transplanting them outdoors. Now all of the ones that are in the greenhouse are pretty much all same size except RQS Northern Light, Hulkberry and Sherbet Queen that are one week younger than those five others. These spots are receiving around 18h direct sunlight every day, from the early morning till late evening. It has rained only two times and I have watered them 1-2 times depending when they have been transferred outdoors with 1L/plant of regular river water. Spring has been very warm, around 18-23c every day and night temperatures are around 10c but getting warmer every week. All plants are growing nicely in this weather and they are not representing any symptoms from cold nights, just from too intense sunlight, but it is what it is when growing outdoors. Few of the first wave plants have some partially bleached leaves, but they are growing fast so no problem there. I might try out Bio Bizz Leaf Coat spray for my plants to protect them from that intense sunlight and upcoming pests that might be real issue at some point in time.
This week I will bring all except RQS plants outdoors, those still need to grow another week or so in the greenhouse.
Fun fact is that sun is 15 trillion centimetres from earth and gives bit over 2000 PAR at sunny days and over 1000 PAR in cloudy days!! This is the reason that some of my plants took damage from sun.
