I skipped a week but Im guessing these plants are 3ish weeks from popping. Call it the second week of veg because they had a bit of filling out to do whilst they dealt with being WAY TOO LONG, during this time a few of the plants succumbed to the stress leaving me with 2 "Spilt Paint" seedlings and 3 "Gary Poppins" that will be the plants I take all the way thru. Sucks I lost almost half of them but it was my fault and the ones that are remaining are STOUT and growing VERY well. I am super pleased with how well they are doing honestly. Moving forward this diary will show the Cookies - Spilt paint progress exclusively and I will have a separate diary with a similar beginning for the Exotic Genetix - Gary Poppins plants, each with their data and photos. I did it this way only because they were started at the same time and are in the same systems.
So I removed the top rock wool cube that was cut in half and zip tied together for support. Because I got my Current Culture UC SOLO 6 site system in the mail, and the plant sites come with collars so I transplanted them about a week and a half ago, they were still quite young but I carefully placed them on the platform in the CC net pots (5.5") and used the foam collar to support the tops of the seedlings with 1/4 strength solution just under the platform, roots grew into water within a day or two and now all plants have a nice and healthy looking root ball taking form.
They are all PEARLY white, but I didn't rinse the Geolite well enough because sediment from it has accumulated both on the floor of the system along the edges and where the initial waterline was. Because for some time the sediment was floating on the surface before settling to the bottom, the roots got some of the brownish-red sediment stuck in them, I have examined it thoroughly and it is NOT root rot. The roots have grown past the brownish section and are the whitest I have ever seen. Soon I will be transplanting 4 of these to my RDWC tent for the end of Veg and full Flower and when that time comes I will dunk the roots into UC Roots and remove any sediment lodged inside. Gonna first let the root system become more robust since it isn't doing any visible damage. All plants look super healthy and grow like CRAZY. Also topped all 5 plants a couple of days ago.
so excited! i just won 24 of these spilt paint from cookies website so im so excited!!!! real good genetics??? pretty spendy but if there’sa big difference is it worth the pay tag
I grabbed a pack of these, too. I wanted see what they looked like before I popped because I got few packs different stuff. Of the few journals out there that are finished all buds look amazing. I can defiantly see that she's gonna be bushy. These bugs are driving me nuts this time of year.
@Chem91istry,
Yeah, these are VERY stable genetics. Both of the Spilt paint that popped and got going have just absolutely THRIVED. The entire time it has been a steady growth and constantly outperforming the other strains in this growth "Gary Poppins by Exotic Genetix". Don't get me wrong it's doing well too but you can just tell by looking at the Cookies one that it's just really well-bred, it looks extremely healthy and always has. Responds well to super cropping, and topping and is a massive feeder. All the plants in this system probably are drinking 5 gallons a day between them and I haven't even flipped them yet! The roots are insane. Highly recommended. On the subject of bugs, had a small fruit fly issue earlier this week due to my girlfriend and a smoothie-related incident. But managed to handle that and now the plants have a clean bill of health.
