Germinated fast. Stretched a bit; I guess it was due to the light height. The HPS heats too much and Im not able to lower it without causing the temp to go up to 30 celsius and also droping the RH to 40% Day 7 the seedling got knocked by the oscillating fan wind. Added a stake and a tie, and the seedling recovered in just a day and kept growing.

HID/HPS light dries up the tent so much. 400 watts for a 80x80 (3x3) its too much. Added a dome to up the humidity and a humidifier. Keeping my window open during the day and night to keep the room cold as best as I can.

Im keeping the dome during the day to avoid drying the plant. Ordered a Viparspectra xs1500 to replace the HPS light and solve the heating and humidity issues. Shouldn't have bought a starter kit (what a scam...). Anyway, day 15 and the plant is looking good. I'll be feeding Plagron Terra Grow just once during this week in Addition to Power Roots. Since this is an auto, i'll be using 1/2 of the recommended dosage of Power Roots and 1/4 of Terra Grow. If the plant grows the next pair of leaves without problems I will start LST on her. Day 18: she is looking great; started a gentle LST Day 20: added 0.5ml/l calmag when watering since i've noticed a spot on one leaf and some tips whitening Day 21: reinforced LST and prearing for week 3 by reducing gently RH to 55%-60% range

Should I be worried about this spot? It is just one leaf, appeared today, and i've noticed some tips got white/yellow. The latter appeared before any feeding was done. I've only watered with tap water and Power Roots. Nothing else was added until today. Plant looks great otherwis

Starting third week (day 22) and she is looking good :) Just a little bit of taco-ing (almost imperceptible) so adjusted the fan a bit to blow wind away from her and trying to avoid overwatering. Lowered humidity to 55%-60% range. Temps are ranging between 23-26 during the day. during the night temp is steady at 20. During week 2 added once a little of CalMag and Terra Grow; I don't see the need for more so I wont be feeding her for a while. Day 23: the viparspectra xs1500 arrived. Changed the hps light for this led at 50% power and 30cm from the canopy Day 24: she is still getting accustomed to the new light, looks good, just a little bit of clawing... i've raised the light a couple of cm more Day 25: starting the day I applied more LST, this time a little bit more aggressive. She seems stronger than I thought and handled it well, didn't snap, phew!! Let's see how it evolves after 8/9 hours of light. I've also watered 500ml with 0.5ml/l of Power Roots. Day 26: She is looking good although some tips started yellowing. Before taking any other actions I've rose the light from 32cm to 40cm. Tomorrow i'll get a ph meter and measure the soil. Depending on that, I'll start feeding her with corrected PH water and Plagron Terra Grow. Day 27: finally received my ph meters... tested the soil it was at 7.2... so yeah, there is that... watered with a little bit of nutes and corrected water to 6.5 first and a second round at 6.08. She also reacted well to rising the lights. Adjusted LST also. Day 29: watered again with a mix of water, lemon and cold coffee @ PH 6.05, trying to lower the medium PH. Readjusted some LST ties.

Some yellowing appeared on the leaves this last day. Temps and humidity are controlled and ok. I haven't been feeding her, she has been growing on light mix for the past 25 days. Im thinking its time to start applying some nutes. Or could be something else? Thanks!

Well after many attempts at fixing the issue Ive finally nailed the issue. It was nute burn mixed with PH issues which made everything more confusing. Lowered the PH from 7.4 to 6.2 by watering watering with plain tap water. I used a light mix to grow her and I now Ive learnt, that light mixes cover 4 weeks of development and it is better to be safe than sorry and not avoid adding nutes until week 5. Actually vegging nutes are not needed at all when growing Autos in Light Mix. Maybe just a 1/4 of the recommended dosis in 5th week mixed with some Flowring nutes if she is showing pre-flowers.

She is still growing strong. First pre-flowers appeared. Will keep watering with PH 6 - 6.3. Very light defoliation of leaves at the base. Readjusted LST also on several day and tried to open up the canopy. I know its not the best LST but im very happy with the results being the first time. Day 36: she is officially flowering (i think haha). Quite a lot of burnt tips. Although PH was off at first, now I believe it is nute burn. Its hard to tell when using light mix if one should feed or not. I changed the feeding now to less Nitrogen (stopped adding Plagron Terra) and replace for Plagron Bloom, Bud Candy and Enzymes. Day 37: looking good? not sure haha

She is flowering!!! So happy to have reached flowering. Plant is looking good I think. Probably there is some nute burn that I caused along veg due to PH issues, humidity etc etc. Nevertheless leanrt a lot and Im trying to apply all of those lessons to the Gorilla Glue (which seems to be growing faster and stronger already). This Tangie is now flowering and I've switched nutes to Bud Candy, and Plagron Bloom. I've also added Enzymes. I've also upgraded my inline fan to an AC Infinity Unit. Humidity was all over the place and it was very difficult for me to keep it stabilized. I got an AC infinity fan along with a Controller 69 PRO that keeps the humidity at 54%. Day 40: well, learnt a bit about VPD, and with the help of the new controller and the probes I adjusted humidity and temperatura accordingly. Plant seems healthier now. Im also watering more often since she is transpirating quite heavily and the pot feels lighter now every 48hs Ive also released some LST ties and Im letting her grow normally. I dont think she'll benefit anymore of LSTing. Day 42: She is really bushy. She is reaching this phase with quite a lot of burnt tips. There are no yellow leaves nor great overall damage. I'd say it is a positive balance. Buds are growing but I dont have a reference point so its hard to say if their development is ok. Day 43: Added Watered with water, CalMag Pro, Bud Candy and Enzymes. Discovered that my Plagron CalMag includes Nitrogen. that definitely doesnt help with burnt tips. For the next growth i'll try to get my hands on some Epsom Salts and Egg shells

Hey. Bit hard to give my opinion with those pics buddy. The issues can be hard to notice early in my own grows. But, what I can see. The edges, (they're light green as where the tips at some point??) If so, with what I can see you can confirm it urself. Those signs usually are attributed to your roots finding it hard to breath. Let you soil dry in more and as it does air is drawn into your sub allowing your roots to breath. So, you're using soil right. So just 1x strong npk feed a week. And then just low EC (either calmag r enzymes as follow up feeds to come behind your NPK bloom nute feeds) Also, tilling the top will help your top soil dry in more quickly and will increase o2/co2 to your root zone. That's the only thing I cm barely see. Idk how much you know about growing. But, don't do any defoliations until you're a few days out of pre flower (upwards growth)

Im not applying any more LST. In fact I released as many ties as I could (not sure if that helps actually). Overall she looks good. A lot of burnt tips, but its been like that the whole grow. She is stretching and generated quite a lot of colas. I guess in a couple of days she'll stop growing and start fattening the buds. This is the 2nd week of flowering so I applied the following nutes: 4ml Terra Bloom (just once per week) 0.5ml Cal Mag Pro (contains Nitrogen, so I applied half the dose) 1ml Power Roots (I read that roots are still growing so applied a bit of this guy and it also gives 2 K which I guess it helps during flowering) 2ml Bud Candy (of course) 1ml Pure Zym (enzymes to help nute breakdown and absorption) Weather has been a little bit crazy these days, and humidity raised up to 67% for 6, 7 hours... I'm trying my best to keep the humidity low but yeah... when lights are off its very difficult to go below 60%. And I'm a bit tired of spending money so I'm reluctant on getting a dehumidifier. Day 49: she is thirsty, watered with plain water 1.5L PH 6.1 and just letting her do her thing

Her smell is stronger now! Im still doing a main feed a week with Plagron Terra Bloom, Enzymes, Bud Candy, a bit of CalMag and Power Roots. In between I'm watering with bud candy and enzymes with no other nutes. She is really bushy but im still afraid of defoliating. I understand the need though. I readjusted the fans to improve air circulation inside the tent and inside the canopy. Day 55: ugh I dont what's happening with the freaking climate but humidity outside has risen up to 85% and 25C (its winter man, wtf...). Im struggling to keep the RH in the tent below 65 (was 45-50 until yesterday). I hope this doesn't damage the buds too much. Day 57 (4/8): She loos great and big. Added a bit more CalMag yesterday along Terra Bloom, Enzymes, and Bud Candy. She is now drinking 1.5 liters of water every 48 hours.

Im starting to see some trichomes. I don't have a magnifying glass or a microscope to tell if they are clear or not but yeah... she looks ok :) Buds are looking heavier and have doubled in size. According to BSF this strain lifecycle is 75-80 days from seed to harvest. So she still has 2-3 weeks to go. I'm glad about that. Being my first plant to reach this state im kind off sad about chopping her off, so im glad to have those 2-3 weeks yet 😅 Day 64: heading toward the end of the week! I really need a microscope; I have no idea what's the current state of the flowers. At first glance they look nice but its impossible to tell if they are maturing properly. In two days she'll reach week 9. She should be harvested somewhere between week 10 and 12 according to BSF; From what i've read, I need to stop feeding her one week before harvest and use plain water... so yeah, im not sure how to accomplish that without a microscope to evaluate the trichomes.

Day 67! Whoa! So, she's is almost ready. I've watered yesterday with half the amount of nutes in preparation for flushing. This week, I'll watch her closely to decide whether I should start flushing her or give her one last feed. I think I'll probably harvest her in two phases. Day 70: watered with Bud Candy and that's it. Sugar leaves are turning orange/violet and the flowers are slowly turning amber. On day 75 i'll start evaluating whether I should harvest or not. For now i'll do a week of watering with tap water and stop feeding her.

Hey guys, quick health check please. I'm not sure whether I should start flushing or wait a bit longer. Also, she looks healthy to me, but I need a bit of reassurance; I've never reached this stage so I'm a bit lost. Photos in the last week of the diary :)

Looking good. Great photos as well. With regards to flushing, you have a bit more to wait. How to know when your plants are ready: 1. Pistils: Your pistils are all white when should turn orange and start curling in. Pistils can be a bit misleading so not the best method 2. Trichomes: Get yourself a Jeweller's Loupe (at least x30 magnification) and check the trichomes on your buds. The trichomes on your leaves are decent but not as great of an indicator. The trichomes should have turned milky white. Now it depends on your preference, most people wait until 20% of the trichomes have turned amber, this is a good middle ground. If you want your effect to be more leaning to the light headed sativa effect, harvest before this point. If you prefer a more couch lock, indica effect, go for a bit more. I wouldn't go for much more amber trichomes because those THC trichomes would have degraded and turned into CBN (which is why you have a more couch lock effect). With regards to the actual flush, I have always flushed 10 to 14 days ahead of planned harvest date but many opt out of it and say it's a myth. My flush is usually the same amount of water I was given her during the last days but without any nutrients. Good Luck with the rest of your grow and enjoy the yield.

Day 75: almost there! Buds are maturing rapidly. I followed a couple of the suggestions from fellow growers that said she needed more time. So I gave her one last feed and waited for Buds to mature a bit more. Yesterday I watered with plain water, and leave her another 3-5 days before harvest. I also did a bit of defoliation a couple of days ago, and I'll do that again today. Day 78: lots of colors on the sugar leaves and pistils are mostly amber. Some Trichomes are still transparent but most of them are opaque. I havent seen any amber ones so I guess she still needs a couple of days.

Well, the day has come! 😃😬 Day 84: took a bit longer of what is advertised on BSF but no biggie. Great strain. Taking into account that this is my first grow and I started with 0 experience she grew quite strong and well. She took a couple of beatings and had to bear with my overfeeding, underwatering, overwatering, heat stress, humidity changes, etc. But I learnt a lot thanks to her, and the Gorilla Glue that was growing by her side is doing awesome. Not going to lie, the first harvest experience is kinda sad 😪. I didnt enjoy at all cutting her after growing her but yeah anyway. Summary: 👇 Wet weight: 380 grams / 1 plant She is drying at 55 RH and 21 C. Will be there for a week or so. Lovely smell. Very fresh. Smells like pine or eucaliptus and fruits. I'll update once they are dry. Take aways: ✊ - Germinate on directly on soil - 14L pots work well, 18L can do better - LST helps a lot to manage the canopy - Germination week and sprouting: germinate with myco on top directly in soil. Put the seeds no more than a cm deep in the soil. Lightly sprinkle the soil with water and power roots. Soil must be humid. Add a dome and let her do her thing for a week. No need to keep watering her. Just open up the dome once in a while to exchange air and that's it. Second week, again, just water if the first 5 cm of soil are dry, otherwise just spray water every once in a while and keep the dome. Third week should come with explosive growth. When she reaches 4 nodes apply LST. - If using lightmix, dont feed for the first 3/4 weeks. Just water and use a root enhancer, that's it. Add CalMag if needed. If that's the case, make sure your CalMag does not contain Nitrogen. - Add Bud Candy early. - After 4 weeks, heavy feed for flowering. - Keep humidity down between 55% and 50%. - Last weeks between 50% and 40%. Even better to watch VPD and keep her between 1.2 and 1.5. - AC infinity products help a lot. - Dont waste money in chinese stuff. Xiaomi stuff is bullshit. Dont buy those green chinese PH probes for soil, they suck. - Just measure the PH of your water when feeding. Let it float between 6.0 and 6.5 and you'll be fine. - If you are a newbie, avoid HPS lights. They mess with your tent environment (temps and RH). I didnt understand how to use them. Just go with a LED lights. - Less is more. Keep it simple.👇✊
