Starting third week (day 22) and she is looking good :) Just a little bit of taco-ing (almost imperceptible) so adjusted the fan a bit to blow wind away from her and trying to avoid overwatering. Lowered humidity to 55%-60% range. Temps are ranging between 23-26 during the day. during the night temp is steady at 20. During week 2 added once a little of CalMag and Terra Grow; I don't see the need for more so I wont be feeding her for a while. Day 23: the viparspectra xs1500 arrived. Changed the hps light for this led at 50% power and 30cm from the canopy Day 24: she is still getting accustomed to the new light, looks good, just a little bit of clawing... i've raised the light a couple of cm more Day 25: starting the day I applied more LST, this time a little bit more aggressive. She seems stronger than I thought and handled it well, didn't snap, phew!! Let's see how it evolves after 8/9 hours of light. I've also watered 500ml with 0.5ml/l of Power Roots. Day 26: She is looking good although some tips started yellowing. Before taking any other actions I've rose the light from 32cm to 40cm. Tomorrow i'll get a ph meter and measure the soil. Depending on that, I'll start feeding her with corrected PH water and Plagron Terra Grow. Day 27: finally received my ph meters... tested the soil it was at 7.2... so yeah, there is that... watered with a little bit of nutes and corrected water to 6.5 first and a second round at 6.08. She also reacted well to rising the lights. Adjusted LST also. Day 29: watered again with a mix of water, lemon and cold coffee @ PH 6.05, trying to lower the medium PH. Readjusted some LST ties.

Should I be worried about this spot? It is just one leaf, appeared today, and i've noticed some tips got white/yellow. The latter appeared before any feeding was done. I've only watered with tap water and Power Roots. Nothing else was added until today. Plant looks great otherwis

one lone spot on a lower leaf - one of the first sets. So, i'd just wait and see as that could be nothing. the plant looks healthy to me.

Some yellowing appeared on the leaves this last day. Temps and humidity are controlled and ok. I haven't been feeding her, she has been growing on light mix for the past 25 days. Im thinking its time to start applying some nutes. Or could be something else? Thanks!

Well after many attempts at fixing the issue Ive finally nailed the issue. It was nute burn mixed with PH issues which made everything more confusing. Lowered the PH from 7.4 to 6.2 by watering watering with plain tap water. I used a light mix to grow her and I now Ive learnt, that light mixes cover 4 weeks of development and it is better to be safe than sorry and not avoid adding nutes until week 5. Actually vegging nutes are not needed at all when growing Autos in Light Mix. Maybe just a 1/4 of the recommended dosis in 5th week mixed with some Flowring nutes if she is showing pre-flowers.

Just a check. Can someone with more experience have a look at day 42 and this week's diary and give me an overall evaluation? I think she is doing ok but Id like a reconfirmation :)

Hey. Bit hard to give my opinion with those pics buddy. The issues can be hard to notice early in my own grows. But, what I can see. The edges, (they're light green as where the tips at some point??) If so, with what I can see you can confirm it urself. Those signs usually are attributed to your roots finding it hard to breath. Let you soil dry in more and as it does air is drawn into your sub allowing your roots to breath. So, you're using soil right. So just 1x strong npk feed a week. And then just low EC (either calmag r enzymes as follow up feeds to come behind your NPK bloom nute feeds) Also, tilling the top will help your top soil dry in more quickly and will increase o2/co2 to your root zone. That's the only thing I cm barely see. Idk how much you know about growing. But, don't do any defoliations until you're a few days out of pre flower (upwards growth)

Hey guys, quick health check please. I'm not sure whether I should start flushing or wait a bit longer. Also, she looks healthy to me, but I need a bit of reassurance; I've never reached this stage so I'm a bit lost. Photos in the last week of the diary :)

Looking good. Great photos as well. With regards to flushing, you have a bit more to wait. How to know when your plants are ready: 1. Pistils: Your pistils are all white when should turn orange and start curling in. Pistils can be a bit misleading so not the best method 2. Trichomes: Get yourself a Jeweller's Loupe (at least x30 magnification) and check the trichomes on your buds. The trichomes on your leaves are decent but not as great of an indicator. The trichomes should have turned milky white. Now it depends on your preference, most people wait until 20% of the trichomes have turned amber, this is a good middle ground. If you want your effect to be more leaning to the light headed sativa effect, harvest before this point. If you prefer a more couch lock, indica effect, go for a bit more. I wouldn't go for much more amber trichomes because those THC trichomes would have degraded and turned into CBN (which is why you have a more couch lock effect). With regards to the actual flush, I have always flushed 10 to 14 days ahead of planned harvest date but many opt out of it and say it's a myth. My flush is usually the same amount of water I was given her during the last days but without any nutrients. Good Luck with the rest of your grow and enjoy the yield.

Approaching end-of-week. She is growing well and handled LST like a champ. I'm still struggling to lower the PH but I feel confident that after a couple more watering, she'll be ok.

Bro, presento exactamente el mismo problema con mis plantas, un poco mas avanzado ya pero queria preguntar si la regulacion de el ph te ha funcionado?
HakunaMatata
HakunaMatatacommenteda year ago
@McDavis, whats up man? Hard to say, its been just 2 waterings since i detected this issue. Damaged leaves haven't improved, but I believe they are not getting worse. And new leaves doesn't seem to be developing that white/yellow tip (for me, new leaves were developing that yellowing at the very beginning). But I believe the yellowing, if it does progress, it does so very slowly. So it is hard for me to tell if it really improved. Anyway, watering with corrected PH water causes no harm and it is just what i've should been done from the beginning. If that doesn't work, at least I removed one very important variable from the equation. I'd do the same if I were you. Having said that, remember that another common cause for those burnt tips is overfeeding. So, if you can measure your PH and rule that out, then it is probably a nutrients issue. Your plants are looking amazing 💪
