Beginning of week two lollipopped all the plants- looks better, easier to water and better airflow around the bottom. The plants are stretching towards the light and they look pretty healthy. Lots of flowers forming at the top.
Details:
3x Chocolate Mint OG and 3x Purple Trainwreck grown from seed (Gorilla seedbank)
4x 600w Meizhi leds
soil is Dr Earth- Pot of Gold
I put the support baskets over the plants and it was a pain- better do that when they're still small. I'll probably defoliate some more below the canopy
I added a PK booster "beastie blooms" this week at less than half recommended dosage- hope the plants like it. So far so good though- the flowers are putting on some weight and branches are leaning against the basket. I'll probably need to tie them off and maybe add a support grid before they're finished. The plants are smelling soo good! Have a charcoal filter that when it's on there's only a slight smell but when it's off the odor hits me when I walk into the shed.
For reference for the pics- Chocolate Mint OG is on the left and Purple Trainwreck is on the right side.
Good morning! good growth this week. Some of the flowers are starting to fall over. I made a mistake of not putting a screen over the tops of the tomato cages. I used tie wire for support on some of the purple trainwreck flowers in the front. I hope the ones in the back don't have problems because they're not accessible- room is too small. Added some molasses (1 tblspn/ gallon)
I was pretty dissappointed to find bud rot infected two plants (1 each Ch Mint, Purple Trnwreck). I didn't know what it was when I first saw it. I had to shitcan some nice colas- that hurt. I'm going to try to salvage the plants- I cut out all the rot I saw and I'm controlling the humidity and airflow better now. I'm going to keep a close eye on this to make sure it doesn't spread to the other plants.
They look to me like they have a week or two more to go. The PTrainwreck (on the right) looks more ripe than the ChMint. They just smell amazing- kind of like Pine-Sol and black licorice.
This is day 60 for the three Chocolate Mint OGs. It looks like they have about one more week until harvest. I have to keep amputating the one that was infected with botrytis. I'm wondering if the buds will be ok once harvested- don't really want to smoke any spores.
Should I wash em? This Chocolate Mint just looks so awesome with the purple flowers covered with trichomes.
I harvested the Purple Trainwreck today and sure enjoyed the resin that collected on my clippers! This strain finished pretty early. Final weigh in is around 7.3 oz. This is very tasty and potent herb! Still curing but still is very smooth.
My grow last year was a little harsh because I didn't do much of a flush.

These chocolate mint flowers are extremely sticky and smells great. I was worried about a small yield after the bud rot destroyed one of the plants (mostly) but still turned out alright. I really liked the one plant that turned mostly purple so much I was going to try to take a clone.
I'm enjoying the fuck out of these Chocolate Mint OG flowers!
Ended up with a pretty good yield of about 10 and a half ounces or ten jars. This strain has it all- super potent with clear cerebral high with no anxiety or paranoia negative effects. It's also very aromatic and great purple coloring. A huge thank You to Humboldt Seeds for this one!
