7/3- 12 hr in shot glass with tap water, then switched to paper towels in a plastic bag (air blown into bag before sealing.) 7/4- 1 tap root showing barely 07/5- 1 taproot barely out, other wasn't more then 1/8th of an inch, but the seed was popped super wide so I planted both. in final pot. Pre soaked the OFFF untill moist prior to planting. Fans and lights on to keep up temperature 07/6 - lights @ 25" and 50%, no vent, fan low/ nothing breaking free yet. Kept soil moist with sprayer filled with distilled water. Sprayed soil multiple times per day and didn't let dry out.

7/7. One taproot above soul and saw no leaves, pulled back dirt and saw small leaves Under soil. Dug up upside seedling and replanted. Other popped no leaves. 24 hr 25 inches at 50% light and misting with spray bottle 7/8. Leaves showing on one so switched to 18/6 light instead of 24 7/9 overwatering one so held off to dry out and is good. Dropped light to 19” since looking a little leggy. Vivosun-2”. Bestva-1.5” 7/10- vivosun-2.5” bestva-2”. Dropped light an inch and upped Vivosun to 75% and bestva to abt 65% 7/12- watering without sprayer now. Poked holes in water bottle top to even spray and get more water than mister. Circle around seedling wait till drys 7/13 third set of leaves just starting to appear

Finally out of the seedling and into the veg Lowered the lights and humidity throughout the week Also was moving the lights closer during seedling but once the full five finger leave came I backed lights to 20” and up to 100% Noticed tiny bugs (only one or two) when I let soil dry out in the one plant so I added the yellow strips and did a 1/4 cup hydrogen peroxide 1 cup water feed to kill the gnat larvae once the plant dried. Both look like they’re coming in good though

7/22- Attempted to FIM the on the 4th node on the lighter green faster growing plant (Bestva light). Vivosun light was darker and didn't have three full sets of fan leaves yet. 7/23- Vivosun plant had rust stain on bottom serrated leave and a spot on a top leave so I cut off the bottom leave and portion of leave above in case it was rust fungus. Lowered the lights a little bit. Gave the Bestva light plant half dose of grow big with watering due to its lighter color (using straight water next watering, then going food again) 7/24 LST done on both plants. Just bent over the top and anchored the stem on the smaller Vivosun 7/27- not sure if the HST worked on the one plant, I think I cut the node too early in it's life stage so I technically got it too high so it is growing normal. Have had the humidity too low, I believe, I have had it between 40-60 but when I left town for three days and let it get up to 70 they really seemed to like it. Will attempt to keep it up there for the next week and drop once pre flowering starts. Will also be starting nutes every other water for the bestva light plant, will wait until coloring tells me the vivosun light plant needs it.

Temps/Lighting: Average temps fluctuating between 67-74 and RH of 45-55% from day to night. Raised light on vivosun to 23" to try and get plant to stretch a little more. Haven't moved lights in otherwise Feeding: half strength grow big nutes every other feeding for both plants. Notes: Re-applying LST, leaf tucking, and defoliating here and there. Vivosun runty plant is starting to show pre flower signs for the past day or two. ** 08/2- accidentally snapped main cola on Bestva plant almost all the way off right at the newer node. Took a piece of plant wire and duct tape to brace it back together and prop up the re-attached piece. As of now, it looks like it is working but we shall see. SMH

Notes: Even though they are both the same strain from same place, same soil, and same environment one has been growing much bushier and bigger than the other. Where I snapped the main stem on the Bestva plant, it stunted that main cola site for a few days but has begun to grow again. This kind of helped and acted almost as a slight topping as the nodes off that one grew to match it's size. Have been rotating the pots daily to try to eliminate any shade/even out the light intensity across the plants. Defoliation/Training: Have done light defoliation every other day to make sure bud sites are exposed on the Bestva light, and have only had to remove a few fan leaves on the smaller vivosun light plant. Continued adjusting LST on both plants to spread out and expose as many bud sites as I can. I did notice a tiny bit of nute burn on one or two leaf tips after initial feeding this week on both plants, but that was because I accidentally added a little more of the bloom nutes then I wanted (but not much) Have upped the inline fan to keep humidity and temp down, I also have the dehumdifier (outside of the tent I always have running for the basement) aimed to blow out towards the bottom intake vent. Feeding: Moved pre flower feeding every other water of 1/4 veg and 1/8 bloom nutes. 08/05 (day 2) finally got the pre flower pistols on the Bestva plant 08/10 (day 7) vivosun plant has two amber pistols on node from main stem.

Day 36- Not major defoliation, but not just picking off a couple leaves like I have been doing every other day. Thought I took a little more then I should, but it all grew back within a day or two. Day 37- slight nute burn or light burn appearing- thinking it is nute now that it has been a couple days and minorly spread Plant under vivosun is further along in flowering and appears to be a little pale. May run filtered tap water instead of RO to see if that helps with calcium def. or whatever may be causing some small browning spot on one of the leaves. Feeding: 1/4 bloom strength and 1/8 veg nutes every other watering (every 2 days now). on last feeding I did a half water half feed instead of just water for the Bestva light plant. Bestva light plant- 11" tall, Vivo-9.5" tall Still selective defoliation whenever needed.

day 45- noticed cal mag deficiency in Vivosun plant- gave 1 tbsp/gallon of calmag and will be including half doseage of what is on the bottle with all upcoming feedings. Feeding/Water: Switching from using RO water to collected rain water while I have it. Still following fox farms instructions but cutting in half and feeding every other water (every 2 days pretty consistantly) Vivosun plant is surprising it was late to pop and has been runty the whole time, but flowered first and has caught up in size to the Vivosun plant just about. Am doing selective defol, but don't want to over due it as this is my first grow. I left more small sites on the vivosun just to try two different styles on this first grow and because that plant was twice as bushy as the Vivosun, not sure if that is why flowering took off on the Vivosun light plant quicker.

Bestva light plant- 17" tall, light is 15 " from canopy. I am hoping this one will pick up soon as the other plant has been maturing it's buds quicker and they were planted at the same time, same soil, and same seeds. It is bigger and has more colas and foliage so I am wondering if that may be what's taking it longer. As long as the buds grow it doesn't matter to me. No real issues with this one, it just seems to be growing bushy still as I am selectively defoliating a few leaves here and there quite often on it. Tricomes building on buds and leaves though. Vivosun plant- 14.5" tall, light is 12" from canopy. keep having issues with calcium deficiency. have been using cal-mag and to help try and rectify this by doing half the dosage for light feedings shown on the bottle with feeding and a 1/4 on water but may up it to 1tbsp for both. Buds are developing great though. This plant had me a little worried it was going to be a runt in the beginning, but even though it isn't as tall and bushy it is developing real nice.

Bestva sun light- was watering and feeding every other, haven't had any apparent nutrient issues so far but the buds are not growing. I thought there may have been an issue with the nutrients of the plant without showing any signs due to the lack of growth so I flushed it, which then started showing signs of nitrogen toxicity. Wondering if it was from stuff left in the soil or not. 18" tall- light is abt 1. The kolas haven't really swollen up at all in about a week or two. (both these plants are the same strain and soil and nutes use) Vivosun- Budding fat but running into nutrient issues. Shown, what I thought was, calcium deficiency, but then I flushed the plant and then it started showing Nitro toxicity. Thinking that is from the OFFF as well but unsure. Apparently it may actually be potassium deficiency instead of cal-mag from the spots. Flushed this one as well to try to address the nitro toxicity. Shits going to hell and a hand bag right now lol. If you happen to read this and have any suggestions to get this back on track please let me know.

Why aren't my buds growing on this plant? It hasn't shown apparent nutrient signs throughout it's life until I flushed it the other day to see if there was a nutrient issue and showed nitro. Have two of the same geno, age, soil etc with kolas triple it's size. Flower week 5

Struggle bud week. Not sure if it’s the soil being nitrogen rich or what but the smaller plant has worsening cal mag deficiency so I tried flushing it to remove excess but just showed nitro toxicity. Leaves yellow and cal mag shows deficiency with just water but then adding half cal mag dose shoes nitro toxicity. Added sawdust to soil because I read that helps pull out nitrogen. Just hoping she hangs in a few more weeks. Smell is getting super strong and buds are getting big though. Bestva plant didn’t really grow for a few days but kicked back into gear. Probably two weeks behind the other one. Been doing some selective leaf removal every once in a while since it is so bushy.

After finally starting to PH my water two weeks ago they are both having great reactions (go figure). Have PH'ing to around 6.5 each time and also realized the instructions for feeding on the fox farm big bloom was different on the bottle vs the table I got on the website, so I upped that to 2 tbsp instead of 1.5 (doseage halfed from their amount). Also held off on Calmag to only one feeding for the week with Vivosun plant. Vivosun- The white pistils are mostly turned amber and are now wrapping around the bud. I am keeping an eye on the trichomes, but still having a hard time getting good views of them using the magnifier and loupe I have (just need to figure out my technique). I am planning on this to be about a 15 week grow just based on nothing but other diaries I have seen, but have no idea and want to make sure I can get atleast a week to flush it. I am thinking I should do that once the sugar leaves show some amber trichomes, but then again this is my first grow so I have no idea lol. Leave coloring has greatly improved with PH water and increased bloom (it is a shame it took me that long to start it) Bestva- Buds are growing and pistils are slowly turning Amber. This one may have a week or two past the other plant, but it is making progress again after a week of nothing. Who knows, maybe it will just explode/or not. I only ever gave this Cal Mag once a week at half dose, but I stopped giving it to this plant as it was showing signs of nitro toxicity with it. It wasn't showing any deficiencies earlier, but wanted to be careful with the issues of my other plant. Figured less is more and don't give it anything it doesn't need. Wish I would have defoliated a little more in veg, but you live and learn. Still rotating pots every day under light to try to keep distribution of light as even as possible. Smell is getting stronger and stronger.

Possible ph issues came out of nowhere on the Bestva plant. Even though I have been ph’ing the water to between 6-7 every time now. Most of the white hairs are gone and I’ve just been feeding and watering while watching the trichomes. I would imagine I have two weeks left ( based on my zero previous grows hahahaha) so I’ll stop feeding altogether after this last one Smelling awesome, keeping an eye out waiting for trichomes to show any amber but not yet. Still struggling to fix the feed or ph or whatever has been causing the discoloration etc but haven’t made much progress. Don’t know if my ph pen is out of calibration, it’s because they’re ending their flowering cycle or what Going to start flushing soon so I won’t worry much about anything besides ph

Took out the cal mag this week and reduced feeding to once instead of every other water. Will go straight ph’d water from here on out. Have been cutting out the fan leaves when they turn yellow. Can’t tell from photo for the Vivosun plant’s buds have gotten pretty damn fat and almost all trichomes are cloudy. Will wait to see them all turn before harvest Bestva plant is a few days behind the Vivosun. It hasn’t gotten nearly as fat but the kolas are longer and more of them, hoping the fatten up over this next last week.

Still flushing, all trichomes are cloudy and a random one or two are on the Vivosun plant. I have been cutting out the fan leaves as the turn yellow during the flushing phase. I am harvesting them tomorrow as I am leaving for a week and don’t have anyone to take care of them or I would probably run untill I get some more amber in there. But they smell and look great and I don’t see any clear trichomes across the plant. I ran through ph issues so that might have caused some issues, but the one I had the issues with (the one under the Vivosun light) has the thickest bud sites. It’s interesting to see the difference of the two when they are the same seed pheno in the same soil and same nutrients.

Had some minor issues throughout with ph levels and some deficiencies, but overall pretty good results. I would have left the larger Bestva plant grow for another week because the kolas didn’t get nearly as fat as the smaller plant and the trichomes weren’t amber on either/ but all were cloudy and none clear. But had to harvest because I was leaving for a week so I started the flush according to my trip. Flushed with ph water only for two weeks, trimmed fan leaves but not sugar before hang drying plant in three sections to avoid limbs from being on top of each other. Dried for 8 days at apx 65-70 degrees and apx 50 rh. Plant with smaller colas may have dried too quickly before trim and cure. Had snapped the main cola on one, nitro toxicity, small bugs in soil on one, calcium deficiency but was able to remedy them all with a good turn out Bestva plant- skinnier colas but more of them, would’ve liked to extend grow -2.4 oz (dry) Vivosun- larger but less colas and more red hairs -1.8 oz (dry) Haven't tried it out yet but will soon. Looking forward to growing my last three seeds from this pheno to try and improve my mishaps on this first grow.
