Chopped her today before the major thunderstorm hits us that will last until tomorrow. I am glad I did. After trimming large fan leaves I noticed that a small part of her main cola has bud rot. It isn't much. The top part of the main cola was trashed. Pity, but it's getting to be commonplace when flowering in this very wet and humid summer. Bummer. Not much I can do except keep on growing and let the rest of her hang to dry and pray we have usable product this time.
The good news is this will be my first dry with a new industrial-grade dehumidifier unit. I cut individual branches, trimmed large leaves, and hung them in my tent with exhaust fan and oscillating fans going. Dehumidifier sits just outside the tent for whole grow room. Inside tent we are reading 72F/53%. Much better than the 80F/60% that we couldn't avoid before.
Be back in about 2 weeks for the trim and dry weight.
Edit 08.04.2023: After nearly 7 days of drying 1 branch seemed like it was ready to be trimmed, and so I did! The first 4 images above are the buds from that branch!
Edit 08.06.2023: It seems that the outdoor conditions really caused the bud rot to infect this plant more than I thought. Every calyx has grey mold on it, but you have to look close. I uploaded a (shaky) video of me dissecting one that you can kind of see (this is 5x digital zoom and the clarity is not the greatest). I decided to just throw the plant away.
Special thanks to @PapaNugs and @nonick123 for their super kindness and advice for getting growing/drying environment correct. You guys rock and we appreciate it big time!
That storm took out my power last night, thankfully it was about 20 minutes before the timer switched off my lights. My cable line is currently in the street and on someones car, glad I'm doing an indoor grow. Hopefully any other ladies you have outside will be able to withstand it.
