These plants seems super vigorous D14 - 9.30 - Obviously transplanted to 5 gallon pots. Would love to hear peoples thoughts on transplant timing! Do you usually wait longer to transplant? Broad/russet mite contam on some nearby plants. These aren't affected to the same extent but there is definitely spindly growth coming in. I've treated two nights in a row with insecticidal soap and neem oil, ordered predatory mites/ladybugs, need more advice on products/methods

Preventative maintenance is always your best offense against pests like this. Find a good product, like Smite or Mercenary, and foliar spray with it regularly to keep bugs away. I’ve been growing for a few years now and I’ve never had one issue with bugs and I believe it’s because I spray to prevent bugs so they aren’t a problem.

At start of light today in this tent I noticed this single top bud looking a little shriveled or curled compared to the others. What could cause this? Plant is not showing any other signs, but is getting over a very brief fungus gnat infection.

The larvaes and not the gnats do the damage, they crawling in the soil and eat the roots. you an order rnematodes (predator). but i dont think that is your problem. if organic and supersoil or not your girls look very darkgreen to me (N_toxicity)

Thanks a lot @OutForReal! I appreciate your time and advice. I have looked pretty hard with my 40x and cannot find any mites. How long do you think I should continue the daily treatment. Unfortunately, I jumped the gun and the predatory mites and lady bugs should be here in the next couple days, so I'll have to release them before they die. I'll treat again with neem oil and insecticidal soap tonight, but I'm not sure if three or four days will be enough.

@Fullmeltalchemist,Haha 😃 no need to be scared , you handle it well , just don't "over do" and it will be alright. 👍

@OutForReal, thanks! I'm not positive on the others, but I am just so scared now. My hearts been racing for days! hah I will be much better about preventative in the future.

@Fullmeltalchemist,I just saw someone saying that you need at least 70x to strart to see them. What I can read on the article is that you need to treat at least 5 weeks after they gone to be sure they can't come back. But as soon as your ladybugs will be there you can stop the treatmant as they are a treatment too (natural). But to be honnest on your other diary I was not really sure about the russet mites diagnosis , stil doubting a bit but prevent is better than damages 🙌

Hey jinx if you can treat the other nearby plants too...the ones not showing big signs, that may help prevent future attacks.

Hi @Fullmeltalchemist! Isolate the contaminated plants in another room if you can, otherwise the colony will spread and invade all of your babies. Predatory bugs will help you to get rid of those mites, but you will need to work in a closed environment, this usually leads to heat and poor airflow issues, which are the perfect conditions for mites to reproduce and lay eggs everywhere. So before running into this approach, make sure your setup will work within those conditions. In this situation, I think I would continue the chemical treatment for 2-3 weeks with a good airflow and cold temps, then close the environment (if your lights don't produce too much heat + if you have enough fans inside the tent to create a slight breeze) and release the predatory bugs for 2-3 weeks. This should work until harvest but remember to clean and re-clean your room after this run, those bastards can hide anywhere and come back at anytime if your room is not perfectly cleaned. Hope this will help, keep us up-to-date and happy growing 👊
